Adventure quest leeching off jagex's ideas?
Indestria replied to spacheco's topic in General Discussion
I am one of the few that plays and likes both AE's and Jagex's games(and maybe another's.......), and I see their good and bad points: AE(Adventure Quest, Dragonfable, Mechquest, Adventure Quest Worlds(Their actual MMO.......and yet nobody mentioned it)): Good: Big sense of humour when playing games. Elements bring a new part of the game, as doing the right element can do a lot of damage......but sometimes enemies are just epic against all of them(I hate them). Only need 1 payment to make yourself a 'member' in the game(except for AQW, it has 3-month, 6-month, and 1-year subs, which also come with a secondary currency). The games are updates regularly, and design notes on 3 of the games from the designers make it good to know what may be coming up(or seeing how they might have made a fool of themselves......poetry generator?(don't ask....don't) (I never go on their forums, but nvm -.-) Bad: At this time of posting, i just can't think of any(maybe it's because i'm staying up late......>_>) Jagex(Runescape, Funorb(Funorb IS good, k? I know it is.....) Good: Runescape has lasted VERY long(so far 8 years), and has dedicated staff. Graphics are realistic(may vary in funorb games though) In-game events with mods are now being done(it's happened on funorb for 5 months now.....including Jmod-run clans) The 3 types of combat is much harder to understand, as the armour mechanics ingame is different to other MMO's. Bad: Ongoing subscriptions. but seriously, they don't cost much(for me atleast)....so this is barely a bad. unless you've found out you've spent £175+ on subs for my time atm(4 years from jan 05, still going good). Good for me why playing both games: Short attention span, meaning i can vary my gameplay...... Now ofcourse, being a multi-MMO'er, and the fact you've all found out, you may be biased on me staying on one side and not caring about the other. But i want to make friends across all the games, and have fun, and that's what really matters in gaming. Maybe. Also, I would show you screenies of my AE characters, but this post may be a bit big by now, and i am tired.....maybe tomorrow? -
SC Morphic Items - Your Results ~Update- List of Info Page1~
Indestria replied to RayOxide's topic in General Discussion
I tried using willow logs on a volatile and morphic fletching knife, and here are the results: 40.5 exp normally 61.75 exp with morphic fletch knife 65.75 exp with volatile fletch knife Right now, i'm using all of my fletching knifes to get rid of these 8.5k willow logs for around 64 fletch(that was what i was going to get normally, but with the morphic fletch knifes, i should be able to get 66 or so). And also, don't bother using volatile tools: They may add a bit more exp, but after 100 uses, they turn into morphic tools. #-o -
Recently i bought some corrupt morrigan javelins in the ge for max price, and i have some information: 1) In a ffa safe arena, they drop and don't seem to be returnable, even with ava accumulator 2) They only have special in pvp worlds i think....that, or the actual morrigan javelins have specials 3) 105 range bonus=a scared Eagle Tas when i hit 25 first go -.- Hopefully this helps. I forgot to take a piccie though......was testing them too fast >_>

Dudy's Blog Of Slaying
Indestria replied to Dudy80's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Nice blog dudy......nice indeed....now if you excuse me, i gotta phone the court about a law suit with the black dragons for breaking my paid-for promise of a visage......they said it was at irons but somebody took it recently.....>_> -
(all people in russia, please discard and do not read the following statement) In soviet runescape, Item lending hates you! This is all pretty simple. A clan-mate of mine in Tal Shiar Alliance let me borrow a whip for 24 hours. It happened. I go into GE after he logs, and i see somebody lending SS for 10k. Since i can only have 1 item at a time, i couldn't do it. Oh well. At least paying or making people pay money for lended items is now against the rules, so i did the right thing. I think. What's good about a sara dhide set, is that it's unlendable \ \ I feel so good now that i don't have an entire armada following me.

9 July 2008 - Jagex Store and RuneScape Novel
Indestria replied to Xecer's topic in General Discussion
Looks very good on the cover, sounds good, and since we all play the game, we should all understand what's going on inside it. Order no. 179 here....besides, does anybody wonder what they would do if they got the book that was signed by author and andrew gower.....i'm thinking a nice trophy shelf for it >_>. -
Ok, a problem arose today: Never chin unless you're willing to accept the fact that if you die and somebody blesses your grave and you get back to it, the chins are missing from your gravestone. Here's how it went: I was 125k exp away from 80 range, got myself 1.1m of chins, wasted 100k yesterday, then today i thought that i could get a tad more through. I was right, for a while, because when my prayer run out, i died, kept my glory (t), sara dhide body, and ring of wealth. Somebody from blogschat(now blogworld), kindly blessed my grave, got my full sara dhide kit back...but there was something missing. My chinchompas. Why me?. It seems i forgot the rule no.1 of hunting and dieing: If you have a live animal with you, and you die, the live animal WILL run away. So, i lost 1m of chins, but could've been worse, as at least i have my sara dhide set back.....right? I mean, 'what could possibly go wrong' in clan wars (top gear fans will know about the phrase in quotation marks...) >_<

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Indestria replied to Sentry_Wolf's topic in General Discussion
2038 MB RAM 1.73 GHz 244 MB Graphics Card(Intel GMA 950) I think i pass the reqs, and nicely(although i have seen other people's.....but with a $900 laptop, i think it's fair, right?) -
Misunderstood Monsters: Wyverns and more!
Indestria replied to Erichermit's topic in Archive of Wisdom
I suggest using Chaos Tunnels for turoths as well if you're a meleer, because there aren't any safespots, a load of lvl 83's to kill, and familiars can fight for you there, making the kills faster if you're on a task. Also, if you can create broad bolts, i suggest using them with a cbow(along with zammy book for increased damage+accuracy), but quite a few people don't have 300 slayer points yet(or save them for the slayer mask)..... -
Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Indestria replied to compfreak847's topic in General Discussion
Both 3rd age and bandos armor don't degrade, and both have stats more than dragon. Dragon is practically a status symbol, so 3rd age and bandos both seem like status symbols for the cash you need, but are best in the non-degradeable catagory of equipment(I want 3rd age range for mage def, yet still worse than full karil's, but coif+vambs are worth it). Barrows, however, degrades, so it has a use, but sometimes it's fustrating when it fully degrades(aviansie tanking, sara GWD, dk's). However, if you think about it, barrows, after a long while(150k for the top+legs repair), can get pretty expensive....it's much like memberships. 3rd age and bandos both are 1-off payments, but expensive. Bandos is a small payment every 15 hours of combat, but after a while, it adds up. Therefore, these 3 armors can be classed as following: Barrows: Expensive in the long run, very good at all 3rd age: Stats which follow the trend of dragon, expensive at first Bandos: Stats which follow the trend of granite, expensive at first -
We have our new forum, that's good at least.....in the meanwhile, let's...umm......remake our blogs?

I am attempting to get 3rd age ranger set, by getting 2 visages.....of course, people might say: '1 visage is hard enough, why get 2?'. I am trying to get this for 2 reasons: 1:To finally get a powerful ranging set for clan wars :D 2:To show that even with demand for black dhides rising and people starting to use cannons everywhere, that i can get 2 visages within a year....(lol) Real life: I am autistic, 16 years old, my intrests are rounders and swimming. Equipment i will be using for black drags: Food may vary according to dragon damage/food bought at ge Stats: Goals[hide]Main goals [hide] Get 70 range-70 range=completion Get 32 summoning- 22 summoning atm Get 70 mage*weekly goal*- 62 mage atm, 950 blasts+100 god spells remaining [/hide] Minor goals[hide]Get 60 slayer-50 slayer atm 30+ all skills-farming:23, rc:24[/hide] Completed goal screenies[hide] [/hide][/hide] Donations[hide]Donations are now impossible because of Jagex's trading update.....like anyone was going to give me a visage or 2 anyways >.>[/hide] Enjoy ze bloggie: Kitty 200550
