Sold all 15k of my death runes yesterday, sold some more random items today in world 2 like 1000 rune arrows and a few dozen super restore potions, god i love all those slayer snapdragon seed drops And finally bought back my veracs, for 4.4mil even though it was 4.2mil last night.... :roll: Went to a 99 mage party and it was kqing time after that. Indeed, where Staking has always been extremely luck based it seems as though Pking is starting to fall into that same trend now as well. The Difference in the two, and the "skill" that was required for pking is fading away.

Your not serious are you?...Maybe you really are so ill break this down for you. You realise noone has even tried to deny this yet right? Do you honestly think players say like top 5 ranked players in runescape log onto the forums and make a thread saying they are buying 10k magic logs. Do you honestly believe that they make this post just to hear all the "omg your ranked #4 in all of rs", or "omfg free stuff pl0x!". NO they dont. However what is different from this is that on many different situations is that many more people are actually purposely or even subconsiciously seeking attention. For example: if all of you out there on this thread that couldnt gave half a rats @ss what we think about you. Then why the hell are you still posting on this thread? Your not gonna care what we think about you either way...so why not save yourselves the headache, the eventual carpul tunnel syndrome or the the post count and just not post? I know why, becuase you actually do care to some subconscious extent, just like your subconsciously seeking attention, even though you dont want it, by posting further.

That's completely denying human nature :| . And yet he is right... In my opinion you're missing one key element in this discussion. I've read the whole thread and as far as I remember he has never said that he never seeks attention. The 'fact' of the matter is, not everything in ones life is centered around attracting attention. Let's take single player games for example, do you think people play single player games to attract attention? I don't think so. They might in some cases, but generally, I don't think so. Now to take an example for multiplayer games, let's say you are walking through a store looking for something you want to buy. Do you honestly care about what everyone in that store thinks of you, or do you care what people thought about you as you were walking towards the store? I don't want people to think negatively about me, so I make sure I don't stink or go there naked, but I don't do things to make them think better of me. I don't go there in my best clothes so people will think I look good. The same can be the case for runescape. I don't go around saying dumb things to everyone, I don't want them to think negatively about me, but I don't go around seeking attention either. Now I have to admit (I am not ashamed of this, because I feel there doesn't have to be anything wrong with it) I do seek attention, but not through skills. I just like talking to my friends and if I help someone and they say 'you're awesome' I like that, just like any other human. But, not everyone seeks attention. As an example about myself I take an online fps. It was a game that had almost no single player options, it was designed for multiple players. So I played it online, yet I didn't give an flying donkey about what they thought of me, I played purely for fun, I didn't even talk to anyone. I love how noone has taken up the second part of my first post question yet. About why do hackers and scammers and liars ect, and what not seek that kind of negative attention that they do... But whatever... I fail to see how im so "inexplicably confused" about something that ive been trying to say this whole time. You cant actually have GOTTEN any attention unless it was SOUGHT after to some degeree in the first place. Also yet again incorrect. If i ask you to go get me a glass of water. Weather or not you do it is up to you, however either way weather you get me the water or not im still seeking attention from you. If you didnt get me the water then you obviously paid me no attention, however if you did get it then you paid me some attention. Either way im still seeking it weather or not I actually got it is another story in its entirety. Your right, I cannot, and have not. However the fact still remains that it was sought after at one point. For example with my glass of water. I was thirsty and could care less if I was getting your affectionate/ positive attention, I just wanted a dang drink. Yes i see how you dont consider talking to your friends to be much of an attempt to get attention as much as you just consider it talking to your friends. But like Ive been saying and I think you now are finally understanding better as to what ive been saying. Is that it it is still in its own degree a form of getting attention. Also, is anyone gonna explain or try to explain, why people deliberatly or unknowing lie to gain attention? Yes! Actually yes it does. Surely you have to realise by now that there are varying degrees of Attention. A person that holds up a bank with hostages inside is surely going to get alot more attention then someone who posts alot on these forums...you know this right? That being said, even though you might not intend for that to be your reason for posting alot it still could be a hidden motive for the reason you post alot on these forums, that being that you seek attention. Afterall, ingame while playing runescape there is no kind of way to track the amount of posts players make between themselves while talking. Take that and the fact that you "Just like chatting" and one would think that you should love replying and talking and making new friend ingame and you would think you would also have a full friends list. As you have previously stated you keep your friends list around 50 people of which that way at least a few are always on that way you have a person or 2 to talk to. With those few people that you talk to you are getting their attention each time you reply to each other so your still getting attention either way you look at it, on these forums or ingame. Which as you can clearly see brings you to seeking / having sought attention at one point in this game. You might as well have just saved yourself the trouble of typing anything past what i bolded, afterall that little bit thats bolded alone disproves you and proves my statement correct at the same time. No matter how much or how little of it you seek, seeking attention is still seeking attention.

Trust me on this folks, well and the noob lvl 99 slayer guy named toxic :XD: (love ya mate :wink: ) But this is very possible to get an untrimmed lvl 99 slayer cape. HOWEVER, Seeing as how im still "trying" and still being bored out of my freaking mind with my tryings. I'm Telling you, from the standpoint of a person with the stats that could possibly achieve this feat, ITS REALLY NOT WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT! However incase noone has mentioned, quests also help out a good bit and even things like doing the lair of tair razelor? or whatever help each little bit of 5k or 10k exp lamps is a free 8k to like 14k exp in hp that can be passed up and about 4 times that in the respective combat stat u trained it up with.

Seems to me that what you are really saying is that it can be frustrating to deal with emotionally immature people. I have found that people don't like to be "proven wrong". I believe that their irrational comments and responses are a self defense mechanism. Sometimes, a good way to deal with players like that is to agree with what little bit you can and then use non-challenging comments about what they are "inaccurate" about. In other words, don't jam their error down their throats but instead, be gentle and non-threatening about discussing the issue. You know, be diplomatic about it. I Agree with this 100% which is why this is what I do and how I handle the situations like this when they arrise. Im not sure about other people out there when they correct others, but for me I feel rather stupid pointing out that someone is wrong about something in a video game. However with my beliefs and the way I have been raised and the choices I have made in my life. I believe that no matter how small or how trivial the thing the person is wrong about, should be corrected. I mean even though its not going to make any difference, most likely, in either person's life in a weeks time. The fact of the matter is that since it is such a small and trivial matter in most cases, why should the one person that is wrong try to decive others in the first place with what they say? Curse you goobore for me getting carpul tunel even sooner now :XD:

EXACTLY what im trying to say, just a different scenerio What makes people try to get "Attention" by either blatently lying about things, or by Going on and on About the fact that they are right when they either have no idea what they are talking about or its just a well known fact that what they say is Incorrect.

Is there any one of you out there that can HONESTLY say that you dont Actually try to seek Attention? Whether or not its positive or bad attention is two different things all together. Many and most of the people that play this game usually seek the first part of this attention in the form of some kind of recognition. Which makes sence as I'm sure not many of us would play this game if it was just a Single Player game. (thanks highlanders :wink: ) HOWEVER, Lets flip the coin over and ask the same question. Why do people seek the negative attention that often times can be found seeking ingame or on these forums? Do they think that they are getting the same sence of Recognition and accomplishment from doing it? For better examples, What drives these people to not only scam or hack but also to LIE, often times blantently lie to other players over some of the most pointless matters. Even in the event the player doesnt really know what the answer/truth reallly is and doesn't really mean to be lying to another player, yet through talking to them theres no other possiblity that they could be mistaken or mislead, a.k.a wrong / incorrect. *(time for the strong closer)* Now the REAL QUESTION IS: Which Type of "Attention" (Positive or Negative) Do you seek and Why do you Seek this "Attention" ? Also why Do you think people Strive to Achive either type of Attention? *(Wait theres more to this! I'll put it in the Second Post)* Ill Add the examples to the second post. Mostly includes some recent messages ive had with folks to help me get to the point of making this topic.

I thought of a better way for that. Put them all on, let them go down for a bit, then click the prayer altar as you start timing ;) same thing with piety and your times will be much more accurate =) I'm off to do it again right now without prayer bonus (I'm exactly 70 prayer) And the way to do it even more accurately...wait till your prayer ticks down from say 58 to 57. And in that instant that it becomes 57 make sure you hit the altar. That way you can have the "full" 70 prayer. :lol: Ya but you really cant test this any better then what everyone has done already. These prayers were intended to be better and last a little longer, for the reasons of: as a reward for the "mini game" knight ownage and two for the the quest being a somewhat heavy quest requirement quest.

Took me ages to do, but i did it, got some wicked exp unfortunately it was in defence exp...and i was already about to level earler after doing my hellhounds task... Like I just mentioned...and like the following screenie says...i got more then enough exp to lvl up in defence :lol: 83 Defence Im too slack, lazy, and tired to post up 97 hp now...sides it can be a bump post later anyways, seeiing as how i hate normal bumps and I dont play quit as much now :wink:
