Say what you will about the Horde cities, but their designs are far more efficient than the Alliance ones. Stormwind and Darnassus are especially bad, with Exodar coming close. Ironforge is okay, but that is because it's built by dwarves. The only Horde city I really have any problem with is Silvermoon, because of the location of the flight master.

Comments in red. Don't try to force your writing to sound complex and/or sophisticated. At best, you will generate something that is difficult to read through because of overly complicated sentence structures, and at worst, you will write something that makes no sense to people who know what the words you use mean better than you do. You need to keep your writing simple. Be careful of synonyms that carry different connotations to what you are trying to evoke. When in doubt, use the simplest word, to make sure that readers know exactly what you are talking about. Remember that you are trying to write a story for people to read and understand, not for them to decode. Suggest you read some Hemingway or Pratchett to get a better feel for how words and sentence construction function in prose.

Not a problem after 3.2 comes out. Also, not a problem anyway once you hit level 41 and have SS. Why are they fun? Unless you level as elemental, you won't be bored to tears repeating a rotation. Enhancement uses a priority system for casts. Also, there is something satisfying about killing mobs in within 1-2 seconds and coming out of aoe pulls with full health and mana. Also, you get to yell "F- YEAH BLOODLUST" to your group/raid/zone and make everyone huge every ten minutes.

What is North Korea's economic significance to the civilised world? Have a think about that and you'll have a good general idea of how many friends North Korea actually has on the international stage. China, who helped out in the first Korean War? China thinks of it as its [developmentally delayed]ed little brother who keeps threatening the other big kids to get attention and lunchtime leftovers.

There aren't enough shamans. Roll one. They are fun as hell to level.
-
I am very happy about the coming changes to shamans. I might even reactivate my account when the patch comes around.

It's fact, not theory. >> Healthy Antarctic ice >> Healthy Arctic ice Herp derp.

I don't do any illegal drugs, but I always argue that weed should be legalised and taxed.

Being a Geek is now "cool" in today's pop culture...

People (typically non-Japanese) who think that everything Japanese is awesome and superior because it comes out of Japan. -
Trying to suck the demon out?! This is why exorcism should be left up to His divine Inquisition, not average citizens. Who knows what foul taint could infect their untrained minds when they venture so close to the machinations of the ruinous powers?

With the original voice actors, not the crappy Oblivion ones.

Common Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them (It's a Guide)
Zonorhc replied to Nom's topic in Art and Media
On using non-standard names: Keep it short, keep it simple. I myself am guilty of making a main character with a stupidly long name in the past. You will find that people remember characters more easily when they have short, distinctive names. Two syllables is usually enough, or at least a name that can be shortened to that. -
Common Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them (It's a Guide)
Zonorhc replied to Nom's topic in Art and Media
Naming conventions... It kills suspension of disbelief when you launch into a piece of fantasy literature and the hero's name is Jack or Steve. Where possible, avoid modern English names, because when someone wants to escape reality by reading a story, they don't want to hear about a guy who has the same name as one of their friends, or worse, their boss. It's not too hard to come up with an alternative spelling for common names. Celebrities (obnoxiously) do it all the time for their children. Also, self inserts. Avoid them. They're pretentious and only serve to annoy people. -
Ask yourself why socialist Scandinavia has vastly higher standards of living than the United States. Democracy is even less effective in wartime because popular opinion and endless bureaucracy will inevitably withhold from the armed forces the resources they need to achieve decisive victory.

I don't understand this logic. How can a world ruled by a benevolent dictator not allow all people to reap its benefits?
-
What does that have to do with a benevolent dictatorship? That saying is only vaguely valid because, to my knowledge, the world has never seen a benevolent dictatorship. What does freedom have to do with democracy? Even in Australia, we are having our civil rights slowly eroded to placate lobbyist groups. In America, the past eight years have seen freedoms curtailed to "protect" people from zee terrorists. I can't even see the point you're trying to make. At this stage, the majority of the people who vote would be better off without so much freedom. Explain how democracy is better, given that people put governments into power under the pretense that the largely ignorant voting population knows what is best for itself. Saying that having a benevolent dictatorship would be good is a far cry from saying that we should have dictators as soon as possible.
-
Democracy is a grossly inefficient system of government that allows the ignorant to hinder the development of society by putting people into power who really shouldn't be anywhere near it. An benevolent dictatorship is the ideal form of government until such time that the majority of the population is sufficiently enlightened to not be a danger to itself when elections come around.

Saw Dragonball: Evolution the other day with some mates. Hilariously awful. Spawned a few memes. Also, Chi Chi looks like the porn star, Bella Ling.

Prove it.

Warlock is one of the most ridiculously easy and fun classes to level, and is still reasonably powerful. People who whine about warlocks sucking are probably just bads on a PVP realm.

The Undercity chain was a hideous grind at the very end. You basically go through your usual rotation ad nauseum because you don't take damage.

So, more or less the way a car crash holds your attention.
