  1. No... it's not copying. I suppose I should report your thread for "copying" the idea of bank spells? Or maybe you'll get over it and realise that you were being an arrogant prat about someone using a similar name to something completely different to what you suggested? Because, let's face it, the name you used lacked originality, so any "copying" boils down to the fact that neither of you has any imagination for names. Maybe if you both used the same "unique" name, you could make a case, especially if he just copied the stats and drops of your monster, but since both of you chose an overly generic name, you can't argue against it.
  2. Sydney's weather is totally inappropriate to summer. 20 degrees? What the hell is that? Where's the boiling heat of last week, or the nipple-freezing cold of the week before that, or the boiling heat of the week before that?! I DEMAND EXPLANATIONS, SYDNEY!
  3. OH NOES!!!1! IT HS TEH SAEM NAEM!!!1!!! IT R RIPZ!1! REPORT!!11 Stop being a pretentious sot. Your idea wasn't good enough to make people want to rip it, and if you bothered to read, you'd see that this is actually different.
  4. Were you benched or actually not playing at all? If it's the first, your mother needs to be purged of her ignorance. Destroy her. If it's the second, your mother should have asked you what was happening before going off her head at the coach. Destroy her. Quit it if you don't actually like the game.

Pork is... gross? Why, my good man, if there was a meat the gods would love most, it would be pork. Dead pig = awesome.

HERESY! You cannot deny the spit-roasted pork!
  7. Yet again more render-on-a-background. To top it off, it's still a plain background, the colours clash very badly and all you did was add a drop shadow. Would it kill you to, you know, do something that requires more imagination?

I approve and will commence devouring.

Clearly, if I was on that list, I would break it with my sheer awesomeness. You may henceforth refer to me as "Sir".

Lamb rogan josh. *Loves Indian food*
  11. We ran off with some guy's towel and clothes while he was in the shower at a camp. The showers were about fifteen metres away through open ground from the cabins. Oh, we had a good laugh.

    Oh, hell yes.
  13. It's been cropping up a lot, especially in the Off Topic board where there is quite a bit of debating happening a lot of the time. The problem is that when people quote a post to reply to it, they don't necessarily need to quote previous posts. Here's the example: Spam spam spam Unfunny remark Lol Insightful comment Actual reply A lot of the time, posters quote only to reply to one post. However, when said post also quotes others which then quote other posts, threads are cluttered unnecessarily. I've seen other boards disable nested quoting by default, instead limiting the quoted post to the original one, minus any others. That saves a lot of space and hassle when quoting one post to debate points, because most of the time, you have to delete all the irrelevant junk because you don't want to create more clutter yourself.

Yes, I understand that. However, it's something that I'd like everyone to consider, whether they are suicidal or not. With any luck, some people would at least be guilt-tripped away from killing themselves.

No matter the reasons, suicide is an immoral waste of society's resources, and should be recognised as such. Consider that a fair number of suicides are done by young people. By this I mean teenagers as well as those in their early twenties. Each life represents over fifteen years' worth of food, services and consumer goods that society has invested in the individual in order to allow them to develop into one who can, in turn, provide goods and services to society and in time repay their costs. The majority of young people will not have been able to contribute any significant services or resources to society, as they are unlikely to have the necessary qualifications nor the time to do so, given the necessity of education. Therefore, each suicide represents 15-30 years' worth of resources that society has invested and will never recover. Given that suicides occur for a large number of reasons, I can't rightly say that everyone who commits suicide is weak. However, based on the economic impact of each life, I can safely say that each individual who commits suicide is thoroughly inconsiderate and ungrateful to society.
  16. No, you're wrong. Don't try to tell me how to form my opinions. I think I would have at least watched the video rather than making a blatant assumption like you are with that statement.
  17. I have yet to meet a "gangsta" who didn't back down after you call their bluff when they threaten you. Now, gangsters I'm genuinely afraid of. Mafiosi don't waste their time wearing their pants around their knees or freezing half to death in a singlet in the middle of winter to keep up an "image". Their suits are so damn stylish it's scary.
  18. No. He only appears slightly inhuman because of the goggles, but that's what I was aiming at. Yes. Evened cloak lengths are so overdone. =p
  19. Well, the main problem is that the trunk of the tree is too fat. Palm trees tend to be narrower. Also, the wall behind it really puts me off. It doesn't seem to fit the setting, and in any case, stones shouldn't be set out in perfect little neat rows. Google is your friend if you need reference pictures.
  20. Well, there's a start. See if you can land a job at a recording studio, not necessarily to make your own music, but perhaps to work the soundboards or whatever. That way, you'll give yourself some exposure to the industry and see if you like the way things work or not, and you may be able to find ideas in other people's work that you might be able to develop into your own. While you're at it, you can expose yourself to a wider variety of literature and develop your language that way. I'm not too sure about Austrian literature, but if you can get your hands on some Shakespeare or Coleridge, you might be able to find ideas on how to use language to make your meaning.
  21. Get yourself addicted to Warhammer 40,000 or any Games Workshop franchise of your choice. If that doesn't give you incentive to go out and get a job for money, nothing else will.
  22. Well from what I've heard, the SATs are far simpler than the HSC. I finished my HSCs earlier this month, and they were fine yet nasty. You'll have fun for a whole year. Lots of fun. There's something about thirteen hours' worth of essay-writing that's just ever so appealing.
  23. Oh noes, racism. The heckler deserved it. There's a bit of racial insensitivity but it's hardly anything to flip out about. Seriously, if this sort of thing actually makes headlines, you know that the world is fine because people are still dumb enough to get worked up about it.
  24. Nothing screams war like skulls on pikes. Some mangonels would be a good addition, as well as a few ballistae. Get rid of the roofs and instead covert the tops of buildings to firing platforms for artillery and archers. Run crenellations along any exposed raised area people would be able to stand and shoot from. Also consider adding a barbican, which is a fortified gatehouse that, when breached, can be used as a chokepoint to pour arrows and boiling oil onto enemies. Reduce any and all windows to arrow slits. You're holed up in a castle because people are shooting at you, not because you want to enjoy the view. Search for castles on Google or Wikipedia and look at the design features they incorporate, such as buttressed walls and sloped plinths.
  25. Depends on if you consider diarrhea lethal. I've eaten army chow. I'll take my chances with the tacos.
