  1. Nope, at 1 def you are pretty much always going to get owned by rangers.
  2. Nope it is not a bug. If he attacked you, killed you, and you made it to a bank and went back for him within 20 minutes, then you would not get skulled. If on the other hand you waited for over 20 minutes, and his skull was gone, then you would get a skull. This is very nice for killing off pesky RC pkers.
  3. Thanks for the clarification Harrington, and yes that is what I meant. i have 30 enchanted lyres made up for collecting seaweed, and I was wondering if I could: Set up canon Load Collect seaweed Load Tele to bank Lyre tele back Load... And get range xp while I got materials for crafting. Is brake fluid any good Jess?
  4. I don't quite agree with this advice. I have outscored EVERY single player over level 90 I have played with, and even at level 67, I tend to need less healing than the rest of the team. This is not like PC where a lower level will hinder the team. At the KBD or KQ, a lower level might die increasing the bounty for everyone (unless you return the dropped stuff). Skill at your position is the only thing necessary here. Would you rather play with a level 120 who got to the queen with 30 points? Or with a level 67 who got over 200?
  5. I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes a canon to disappear. For example if I set it up at everyone's favorite place ar the rock crabs and collected seaweed, could I teleport to Edge and teleport back with an enchanted lyre and have the canon still be there?
  6. ...a rush is a fast attack at the beginning of the game. In this context, it is also known as swarming, goblin tactics or Zerging, referring to the Zergling rush tactic from StarCraft. It emphasizes speed in an attempt to overwhelm an unprepared opponent. It is analogous to the human wave attack in real-world ground warfare, in which overwhelming numbers of troops are sent at the enemy, disregarding tactics or casualties. In fighting games, this style of play is called rushdown. This also has a different meaning in massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), where characters skip the usual progress path with the aid of others to reap benefits that are usually denied to them until a later time.
  7. Lots of action here guys. Has anyone besides me and Grim gotten together through this thread?
  8. Look. I will try to explain in easy short sentances. You can get faster xp by not killing queen. U need exp to get armour. We are getting exp fast. But you said you need level 3+ in a skill. Don't quite understand this one either, but I will try and answer it. The reason for minimum of level 3 is so people know what they are doing. I don't care if someone is level 3 healer and comes as a level 1 attacker for attack points. That is the object. I plan on using my points to level up, and then think about the rewards when every thing is at 4 or 5. Getting points quickly really depends on a team of people cooperating and moving toward the same goal. I laughed earlier when I read on another thread some lvl 110 got to the queen having amassed only 30 points. For some reason people can't get it out of their heads that the queen here is not like the KQ or the KBD or elemental or dag kings. She doesn't drop a dragon chain or 2 hander. It is the points that count, for both leveling up (for faster game play) and for the rewards.
  9. Hey Phelim. I have one for you. I was playing with a group and we went smoothly from 1 to 9. I am Collector level 4 now, and was pulling the team in points. Number 1 in points in 8 of the first 9 rounds. So at round 10, we get the eggs and one of the healers is yelling at me to trade him an egg. Over and over, Give egg! As I am next to him yelling back 'Your inventory is full!!!!!!!!!!', He couldn't take the egg because he was full of supplies. This happened with 3 eggs in a row with the same guy. It was getting comical. I am level 67 and do not have the HP to spare to get nailed standing next to a healer, not being healed and not unloading eggs. So we finally get the eggs handed around and I load them up. The defender, attacker, and healers are with me at the canon yelling to fire. Of course I am the only one trying to fire and getting the message that there are still pennance runners alive (what was the fraken defender doing with us?). I got hit 8 times, with the healers next to me, and died. Of course it was my fault for being a lower level than the rest of the team. I suppose it is easier to blame the little guy.
  10. Interesting question Defender. The quest themselves aren't the problem here it is the requirements to do them that take time. My old main was banned At the end of August, and I had all quests completed. I started over and have 3 quests left not for the cape. Things like Devious minds at level 65 smithing, Lunar Diplomacy at 61 crafting and 60 mining, Regicide at 56 agility, and MEP 1&1 will slow things down considerably. As a side note I have been keeping a running list of quests that can and can;t be completed with stat boosters. It was very nice to complete Regicide this time with only 51 agility (summer Pies). Freeing Awowoguai (sp?) in RFT on the other hand cant be potted to, you need the base level listed. Thieving at Desert treasure is the same. I tried Evil stews from level 49, but you need that base level of 53 to get the chest open. Lunar Diplomacy is another one you can't pot to. Got all the way out there and finally got an evil stew to give me the 4 mining levels I needed, and I was denied. I am combat level 67 now and could have been a few levels lower, but I like mage and prayer, so I know there can be a lower level with the quest cape, but I should be one of the lowest when I get it. -Kama
  11. Gotcha. But being level 5 and having the runners come at you from all over the field must be much easier than the earlier levels, making accumulating defender points that much quicker and easier. I am still wondering what the drop rate for that d chain is.
  12. I might be reading this wrong but I think your are trying to say you don't get more XP after you hit level 5. Is that right? If so, that is not the case. You can continue to gain points at all levels, until of course you have 500 points stored up, at which point you should get out of the combat room and buy something/gamble..., or switch jobs and finish out killing the queen if you need a queen kill. It only takes a minute to run out, dump your reward, and come back to the room/team you left, anmd any decent team should understand and support that.
  13. I totally agree with Fresh here. The more eggs collected, the more points generated. At my combat level (67), I have found it much easier to go directly to a canon and just call out attack styles to the attackers until they have 2-3 kills. There is no point in running after them for 2 eggs in the initial 45 seconds and losing needless hit points. Once the killing begins in earnest, you can actually keep track of the last eggs color and your current color, and stay ahead of the game in collection. I have had to use this tactic many times because of slacking attackers, and still manage to come off with the highest points every round. I hope there is a special hell for the attackers who constantly left click the horn producting Collector: red eggs! I also have low str and high mage (relatively), so I have found that I can stay in the battles much longer if I bring elemental staffs. I do not understand why they only give 15 bloods and 15 fires. Enough bloods for 15 casts, but only enough elementals for 3? Since you can't bring in your own runes, then why not make it 75 elementals to 15 bloods? Keeping the ratio would make soo much more sence, it is no leap in logic to see that 15 bloods and 15 fires is un balanced.
  14. Thanks for the interest from everyone who posted, and thanks to the flamers for keeping my post bumped. After a few more rounds last night I found that it is very easy to break 220 points doing level 1-8m and it can be done in less time than rounds 9 and 10, where you would get an estimated 120-130 points. Points are put to a far better use upgrading your level than trying for the 'rarer than Zammy switching sides' rewards. I am sure I don't have to explain how badly a level 1 healer kills the 10th round. Spend those points on your levels people! I assume everyone who posted here gets the idea that with level 4 or 5 healers and attackers, we can pretty much own the queen any time we want the kill. Another thing I found was that by the time people get to level 5 the job they once enjoyed doesn't seem so fun any more. Getting to level 4 really is not very difficult, and I would like to get the rest of my levels up as well, and an experienced team can help this a ton, just by knowing your teamates.

  18. Barbarian assault Zerg team! I am forming a team of experienced players who are interested in generating BA XP, not queen kills. We are running level 1 to 8, and then repeating. The objective is to max out XP in levels 1 through 8 to increase all levels. You need to be at least level 3 in one skill to join up, and have the common goal of going for experience. I am going for level 5 collector then level 2 in the other 3 positions, so about 6 trips through level 1 to 8. Since we are only going until level 8 anyone level 65 or higher is welcome (as long as you are level 3 in any BA skill). Gems

Not hands down by any means. Mining coal with a glory will get you the same number of usable gems per load that you would get from the gem rocks.
  20. The fruit are kind of a let down. They heal about as much energy as it takes to run to get them, so I dont even bother any more.
  21. Waisting 3 hours of your time - who knows Working 3 hours at MCdonald`s - $18 that is 3 months of membership paid for.
  22. Turbo rating 3/10 Nice gathering of info but I have a few problems: 1. This guide really doesn`t have much more than is in the KB. 2. The contents are hard to read (although creatively colorful) 3. There is no XP per hour factors in there. After all, power smithing/smelting is all about xp per hour. Rings of forging were updated so they actually stop you from smelting when they turn to dust. No reason at all to carry another in inventory. It just drops your bars per hour stats, and I think someone else also mentioned that they do only make 140, and not 150 bars.
  23. Not a bad guide, but taking the long way, around the mage arena will afford a bit more protection from pkers. The fast that they tend to focus on the mage bank was kind of glossed over though. A note to log if u see dots might be helpful. Who cares if you die with a knife though. It is however a pain to get back to ardo to tele to wildy to get to the bank again.
  24. :-k Good question, but i beilve it will simply fall on the floor =p Haven`t you even tried it? They don`t drop on the floor, it is impossible to make that many glass. When you cast the spell with 13 sand and 13 seaweed(and runes), you end up with 15-20 molten. Nothing else. You lose your buckets. Super glassmake is an incredibly fast spell for crafting xp. Sure the xp per molten is lowered from 20 to 10, but you can stand in a bank and make molten all day. This is about 20 times faster than Port Phasmus, because one spell makes all of the supplies into molten, as opposed to 14 clicks on the forge to make 14 molten, you only click 1 spell to make 18-20 molten. Also, the battle staffs in the mage guild are 125 gp cheaper than the ones in the lunar shop, which are 125 cheaper than the ones in Zaff`s Staff shop. It is far better to alch them as you buy staffs. You can start with 10k, alch as you go, and keep buying staffs with the profits. Collecting seaweed is also another way to go. With enchanted lyres (quest item from Fremmy Trials), you can tele to Rekella and collect 680 seaweed an hour. I have 30 lyres just for that purpose.
