28 October 2008 - Hallowe'en Event and Quest
I bought 6k yew longs for 93 magic and you say WHAT?!?! :wall: Oh well, I guess its a step closer 99. #-o Oops sorry. Also it's better to go via the Abyss/Death TeleTab than it is to go through the pass the other way or via Llyta. Lots of people saying its a long walk, but really it isn't.

Finished. Very fun tbh. Jagex excelled themselves this year, the QP makes all the difference. For the record you CAN use boosts to get 93 mage. I got my XP at 90 with a mage pot I had lying in the bank.

Just tried Movario, nothing. He's definitely working for Lucien and definitely trying to find the staff, but it's a secret he can't tell me. Ring of Charos? Jennica's ring?

There are anvils in the new room in the Ancient Cavern which apparantly can't be used by any bars. Says a magical force prevents you from using it. Dragon items becoming smithable? Makes sense seeing as there are 3 metal dragon heads there.

Halloween Event~The Grim Reaper Bust, and mysterious skeleton
Hey my Dad's ex-wife's cousin used to work for the milkman of a neighbour of a woman who was employed by Jagex to make the tea and she says the new skill is knitting.

[hide=] So the artic bear is gonna own. Ta  Does anyone know if the bear stacks with the Oogloog pool for sure? I would guess it would, as the pool is a visible boost and the bear is invisible. I'm doing a test right now with a Spirit Kyatt, expect an answer within about half an hour. TEST 1 - Spirit Kyatt Only = 60-70 - Nearly an extra 10k xp per hour. TEST 2 - Mud Bath Only = Raises it 8 levels, depletes at approximately 1 level per minute. TEST 3 - Spirit Kyatt + Mud Bath = Depends on your levels, I'd actually only recommend a Spirit Larupia (for red chins), since the Mud Bath would keep you constantly running back every 8 minutes. Interesting. I forget my exact level and can't check at work (silly firewall) but I believe it is 74. The pool SHOULD boost me enough to be able to lay 5 traps at once which may be worth it, especially as the Artic Bear boosts Hunter significantly. Yes, I believe the bear raises it 7 levels, although I'm not sure if invisible boosts will allow you to lay four traps or not (I wouldn't think so, but I don't know for sure), but with the pool, you'll be able to lay four traps for about two minutes before you'd have to run and recharge. [/hide] I can already lay 4. The bear won't let me lay 5 as it's invisible, but the pool should.

Try searching the keyring in his bank.

Junk~~
Junk is a by-product of skilling. Your best bet is to do some skilling to generate some junk and gaining you free XP. However you will need money to invest and the patience to skill masses. Otherwise just sell max on the GE.

Fastest Mining XP (P2P)
I agree. Randomly found 2 stars and got some nice XP, didn't have to keep clicking and got to talk to others. You'd need to join a clan for the best XP though.

Turoths
Not had them since the sword was released but I hear it is a lot better than the spear. Plus it is one handed giving you room for a rune defender. Always super pot attack and strength if you are slayering, use defenses only if you are getting hit loads.

Warped Tortoises from a Slayer task - 1 MORE QUESTION
The Tortoises are OK, it's the Terrorbirds which are not.

Can I be assigned goraks?
I said I had 49 and once had one 60+ (meaning 60 something) so I was right \

Need Some Equipment Advice
Controlled isn't faster, it's just splitting out the XP. It may seem faster at earlier levels as you are gaining levels semi-rapidly in 4 skills at a time. However overall it is exactly the same speed as training separetley, especially with the release of the Sara Sword. Speaking as a high level I recommend not training on controlled. In training/slayer attack and strength are more important than defense, especially when you hit 80+, as you have lots of ways to heal and you don't get hit often. From level 70 what worked for me was leaving defense 5 levels behind the other 2. So it went. 75 strength, 75 attack, 80 strength, 80 attack, 75 defense, 85 strength, 85 attack, 80 defense. etc. Now defense is 90, I see no need to level it anymore until maxed strength/attack as the hits I take are minimal.

steel/iron drags
Fire Wave (bloods) is best. The gauntlets (chaos) only rise it up to death standards, so you're better off with bloods. Plus the base XP is more.

^ what he said. The XP isn't amazing but it beats alching and you break even mostly.

Blast Furnace freeloaders
Grr they are annoying, and usually high level. It really annoys me when they just hang around by the bar dispenser. Theres a reason your bars have not come out idiots, it's because the furnace needs worked on. Why not work on it? You sit there smithing and they all gather around, leaving the same few people doing the donkey work!!!

Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross offend people
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7692911.stm I heard this on the podcast and thought it was one of the funniest shows yet. Since Matt's been off the show hasn't been as good (cept the one with Noel) but Jonathan was brilliant. Do they deserve telling off for this? Nah, it's just a bit of fun.
