Slayer and you will get there eventually. In all honesty 90 defence is fine for most things and strength and attack are more important as they will speed up killing things.

You don't need to bank with Basilisks. Guthans ftw. Not really that bad a run from the Fairy Ring/Slayer Ring tele either. Metal Drags are far worse to get to.

You should always finish tasks in 1 trip, ideally, unless 1) you're banking drops like hides/bones 2) if you're given a huge amount of a tough task. And it also depends on what slayer master they are using. To answer the original question, yes, it's worth it, because the defence you get from Guthan's is a freebie, alongside it's healing ability. Maybe its only me, but I bank every drop 1k+ i get, so.. I pretty much have to leave the place anyway :lol: Alch them on task. If you've done Smoking Kills and have a Slayer Ring you can tele to the Slayer Cave. However if this is the case, cannon them in the Smoking Kills dungeon.

It's a must for slayer at lower levels. But if you are not slaying then you're probably not going to be able to recoup the maintenance fee so it wouldn't be worth it. Even at level 130 I still use Guthans occasionally cos the Bunyip doesn't always heal as much as I need it too.
