  1. Curious... the one on the left appears to bear the symbol of an air rune- either connected with the nearby air altar, or possibly a reference to the elements, in particular air. The one on the right... is that the Freemason one of which you speak? Can't say much more about it really, though it looks much more like the Eye of Sauron to me. And as for the one in the middle, obviously a sun of some sort. Yet it is split in two. Either some colossal power used to (or still does at certain times) smash out of the middle and into the sky, or something cracked it. But what? And was it trying to tap into it, or escape it? Regardless, the fact that it is a sun broke in two makes it seem all very apocalyptic. And if it is a Freemason symbol on the right one, the Wise Old Man is linked no matter what anyone says. I mean, a book with the same symbol as the one on that weird rock appearing in the WOM's house is not just a coincidence. Hopefully you are right in the connection KCHughes, as I'm sure it is going to help somehow. Thanks for the information on the penguins 1alebcay, and the images. Oh, and I've had a crazy idea- has anyone ever tried using a Staff of Zamorak on the weird rocks? If not, would anyone mind giving it a go? Thanks (and don't blame me if you blow up half of RuneScape  ).
  2. A Rune pickaxe for 20k. Looking at previous posts, I guess this one looks a bit weak and feeble.
  3. Mining. The Runite in the Wilderness would be too tempting.
  4. Hill Giants in Edgeville Dungeon have pretty good drops (big bones in particular), and there are good safe spots. However, it is pretty crowded unfortunately.
  5. Me: *Attacks bear* 'Noob': Hey, u cant do taht! Me: *Kills bear* 'Noob': Omg, u kiled a bnear, reported noob! Me: And you are reporting me for what, young one? 'Noob': Um... item scamming! Well, it was funny at the time.
  6. *Peers* One of them looks like that 'evil eye' symbol, which is supposedly also the Eye of Horus. I'm still trying to work out how it could be the Eye of Horus when it is said to be 'evil.' Either it's not or Jagex is very bad at history. Oh well, it was a worth a try. You did your best. Anyway, I hear that penguin quest is coming out soon... hopefully some kind member will do it and reveal information about it here (if it has anything to do with the Wise Old Man that is).
  7. Mainly because the majority of users are mature and helpful. It was also the first fansite I noticed.
  8. When I fought a flesh crawler that refused to die. :?
  9. I never said it was Bob, just a cat. Possibly another Mahjarrat (maybe even Bob's agent)? If it was a Mahjarrat, surely it would have some magical power, and thus it might not have a shadow. If it did, it would be far too noticeable. I was sort of thinking that this 'thing' might be possessing the Wise Old Man, and using him as a sort of pawn on the chess board, slowly moving up to take the king (in this case, meaning the power to summon). I'm sure Bob would be pretty busy elsewhere, so that might be why he is using his agent to do the dirty work. I think there is something trapped in those ruins near Falador that Zaros wants, and he'll use the power of summoning to get it.
  10. Where do I find these dark wizards????? I think there are two different dark wizard in f2p/ The Stone Circle near Varrock, just outside the Draynor Bank (near willows), and in the Wilderness. If you want some decent experience as well as Law runes, you could kill Hill Giants, though they don't drop it often, so Dark Wizards would be better.
  11. Oh, but of course. In fact, the ones that do hate computer gaming altogether. Though, I should add that these particular people are a) impatient and b)arrogant, so my expectations weren't very high. Hi-[garden tool].
  12. I noticed someone mentioned earlier about the wallpaper for the Wise Old Man, and how the eyes under the desk were wide apart- I had a look at other wallpapers, and found one of Bob facing off against the Kalphites. I compared the eye distance (visually), and it seemed to match. So, the thing under the Wise Old Man's desk could easily be a cat. Now, there seems to be an idea behind Zaros coming back, and I would like to ask a question- can Zaros possess people?
  13. Congratulations! Now, celebrate by chucking yourself into the nearest cave full of Lesser Demons...
  14. Beat me to it! The secrets to penguins, and possibly the Wise Old Man, are now mere inches away. Oh, and I notice they mention Lunar Sea. I presume that is where Lunar Isle is located. And isn't there a type of magic called 'Lunar Magic?' Hmmm, maybe we don't know all Lunar Spells- maybe one of them is a summoning spell? Maybe the Wise Old Man is ordering the penguins to search Lunar Isle and find the secrets of this summoning spell? :-k
  15. Yeah, I forgot to do that the last time! I've also bought a rune kite, rune legs and ... a rune scimitar! Now I just need to get my fishing up to 50 and start catching swordfish! When going to her, just make sure you are not skulled, as I don't think you would want to lose your Rune Scimitar or your other Rune items. Anyway, good luck mate!
  16. I'd take out English people who fail to grasp their own language. I'd understand somebody foreign who could not use proper English, as it would be hard for them (same way it is hard for us to use, say French or another language), but for someone who is from England and cannot even spell simple things such as 'laugh' is preposterous. I really do think 6 year olds play this game. :shame: Oh, and I'd also take out rule breakers. I want them out even more than the people I have just mentioned. Sadly, there is always going to be someone who wants to spoil the game for everyone else. :(
  17. I am really appalled at how many people appear to have a high amount of black marks, after studying this forum and a few others. Is it so difficult to follow the rules? Or do people simply exist to scam, insult, and create autoers? Alright, I'll allow for the occasional mistake (like getting heated in an argument), but really, having over five black marks is outrageous. If you do, I really recommend that you stop rule breaking immediately and be a nice, caring player. That goes for the creator of this thread as well, who must be extra careful. Maybe you should turn off public and private chat, to avoid insulting someone? And maybe turn off trading, to avoid scamming. And for those who were given black marks/banned unfairly, please do not take this message to heart. But for those who got what they deserved fairly, I have absolutely no sympathy for you.
  18. you cant die to a chicken Oh really? They can actually hit you know. They can? :-k Sorry, but I just don't see it happening. I once had a newbie account and he killed over a thousand chickens (or near it), still keeping one defence. During that period, that account had NEVER been hit by a chicken. So, unless this person in question was extremely unlucky, I remain doubtful. Could you maybe please post an image to shed light on this subject? P.S. Sorry for the off-topicness, I'm rather interested in getting to the bottom of this.
  19. Well, one time I was in the Wilderness, and I came across a Combat Level 24. I think I was at Level 45 Wilderness at the time, so I thought, "Heh heh, easy pickings!" The guy was wearing iron armour at the time, but when I came near him, he suddenly removed it all and put on a wizard hat, robes, and staff. May I add I was wearing iron armour as well, but when he put on the mage outfit, I frantically tried to remove my armour in time. Sadly, I was blasted by a fire bolt, and died within seconds. Since then, I have hated mage pures. It was annoying mainly because I lost all my armour and weapons (I was skulled).
  20. Being in the Wilderness, and then deciding to walk onwards towards that place with the lone hill giant instead of escaping from angry Player Killers. I got attacked by two mages who could use Fire Bolt, and I was wearing iron armour... #-o
  21. Vampire Slayer gives you a little Attack experience, I think.
  22. I know I said earlier on that I thought the Wizard's were going to summon Zamorak, but it's slightly iffy. And those stones... I know they are evil, but I can't put my finger on it. It's something powerful like Delrith, I can tell. Something of the Mahjarrat (sp?), possibly? I think Grayzag and Maliginus are going to summon this thing and send it upon Falador to kill the White Knights, but the WOM is doing all he can to stop them. If it is Zamorak however, it shall result in total terror and the possible annihilation of RuneScape. A question- what does Zamorak look like?
  23. The bit on 'improving grammar and spelling' is a load of rubbish. I have yet in my experience of playing RuneScape to see a person using proper English. Everyday the chat box is bombarded with things like "omg ROFL lol di u sea taht gee lol?" The fact that most players on RuneScape are probably older than me annoys me even more. If I am 13 and can spell properly (minus the odd typing error due to typing too fast, as you seem to have to do these days), then why can't people around the 16 years old mark do it? Unless the standards of English have dropped in schools, I see no reason why bad spelling should be used. The person who wrote this article obviously hasn't even played the game, or he/she would know about the sorry state of spelling in RuneScape. However, I agree with the rest of the article- it does help in some ways to create a financial awareness around children (merchanting), which will hopefully help them get better paying jobs in years to come.
  24. Hmm maybe this has something to do with Wizard Mizgog or Grayzag (See the imp catcher quest). The beads belong to Mizgog, and Grayzag stole them and gave them to his imps i think, but I havent done it in like 2 years so correct me if im wrong Yes, you are quite right. But what could be so special about those beads that Grayzag would want to steal them? Maybe they conatin a special power that helps summoning? That would explain why the WOM would buy them from you, so that he could stop Grayzag from getting them. But Grayzag probably thought ahead and gave them to the imps for safe keeping.
  25. I would just like to add something else that is strange about the Wizard's Tower- just beside the door in which you enter the Tower, there is a picture of a black eye drawn on the wall. Right click on it, then click examine, and it is said to be 'the evil eye.' I find this rather curious- why would the Wizard's Tower have this drawn on its walls? Another interesting thing would be that the symbol of an 'eye' was used by Sauron from the Lord of the Rings (written by JRR Tolkien), and the Crimson King from The Dark Tower (written by Stephen King). Both also stayed in a Tower- Sauron in Barud-Dur (forget the spelling) and the Crimson King in the Dark Tower. Could this in any way be associated with the Wizard's Tower? Both Sauron and the Crimson King were evil, so maybe this 'evil eye' relates to Zamorak. Could the Wizard's be trying to summon Zamorak to destroy the world? Alright, maybe that is a bit far fetched, but it would give plenty of reason for the WOM to attack the Tower if the whole of Gielinor is at stake, and possibly Saradomin. But I somehow think the Wizard's put an enchantment on the Tower that only allows them to be hit with magic, so that could be why the WOM raided the bank- to get runes, but maybe he lost them all. So he's planning to sneak into the Tower, grab some runes, then kill all the wizard's, and finish off by blowing up the summoning runes and the Tower with tinderboxes.
