^I have always found this to be true. Or drunk you did a really good job at drinking water before you went to bed. Anyways, I move into school tomorrow. I started getting my stuff together this morning and in all honesty, I'm already nearly done. I'm sure I'll forget something important, but I go to school super close to home so it's not a big deal.

My skin is all peeling off from getting so badly sunburned this past weekend. It's kind of shitty but it's also really cool. Also, I'm driving my sister to the airport in two and a half hours. Otherwise know as a little past 4 in the morning. So that's exciting, it's not going to help fix my sleep schedule for school though haha

What is your "go to" alcoholic drink?
Also, at my friend's birthday I discovered fireball cinnamon whiskey and it's beautiful. I love cinnamon so it's a great fit.

Vodka mainly, getting back into beer these days as well. Rum works fine too. As far as mixes go, rum and coke is an easy one, screwdrivers, whisky ginger, etc. I don't know beer too well, so I'm going to probably start to adventure into discovering what my favorites are.

My goal is to be the most bearded person in the room at almost any given time. That is all I want from life. Anyways, watched some UFC tonight. Was pretty fun, only the second time I've watched. I hope the Korean Zombie's shoulder isn't too [bleep]ed up, that was really painful to watch.

I am heavily considering growing a "yeard" (AKA a years worth of beard growth). I know it'll look stupid but I've never gone any longer than like two months before. I'd keep it neat or whatever, the only problem is I can't grow a mustache. The beard part grows great but my upper lip has the hair growth of a 14 year old. So yeah, thoughts? Should I give it a couple months and see how it goes?

Make sure you make friends, even though you're not being forced into it. I know if I had gone into my freshman year in a single I wouldn't have made any of the friends I have now. However, I did live in a single my second semester freshman year and that was a fantastic time. Granted my girlfriend basically lived with me and that was awesome. But yeah, if you're anything like me, having a single might work against you. I know being forced to live with someone made me on befriend someone I never would have otherwise and he is honestly one of the best friends I could ask for.

I know as someone with very little knowledge on the subject of tattoos, I would definitely appreciate hearing from someone with more experience on the subject. Opinions or fact, if you're willing to share your thoughts or where others went wrong that would be cool. I don't want to make incorrect statements accidentally, so a discussion about it seems like it would be the best way to learn to me. So yeah, if you disagree with something it would be great if you could say what you thought and give your reasoning so someone like me won't accidentally give bad advice or make mistakes in the future.

Hmm, that does seem a bit more expensive than I would have guessed. My ex got a text tattoo (a little smaller but also in cursive with a "design" around it) on the inside of her bicep for I think around $70. I was thinking that the piece I want would be around $400 or so based on very little research but maybe I'm underestimating prices. I have no ink at all, so someone else is probably going to be able to give you a much better answer than I can.

It definitely depends on what you're getting and where you go to get it done. I'm sure one of the other guys could give you a decent estimate on prices. People I know have gotten them for about $50 for small pieces. Intricacy and size are factors though I would assume. I think the best way to figure it out would be to make a decision on who you want to do it and look at what they've charged in the past or actually go ask them about it.

Decided to try to get some old friends together to hang out after a discussion my mom and I had a while ago. I'm never the one who plans things and I haven't seen or talked to some of these people since the end of high school so we'll see how it goes. A few people have responded so far so I'm definitely hopeful that it works out. I don't see any old friendships really being rekindled from this but I figured it would be worth a try. Other than that, I've been chilling up here in New Hampshire, taking it really easy. I went on a pretty short hike today, which showed me how out of shape I am and/or how much smoking has affected my endurance. I really have to cut that shit out (I say after coming back in from a smoke). In my defense though, despite being a ~1 mile summit, it was pretty steep and rocky. Made it up in about 15-20 minutes which is good time, I was just out of breath and my heart was racing. I'm going to consider starting to run, since my cousin has been doing it every day and telling me about it. Granted she had the benefit of getting into the routine in Northern California where it's always beautiful. But I've honestly been considering trying to get into shape to eventually run a marathon just to say I did it. At the very least I want to be able to comfortably and quickly run a 5k. So yeah, that was more or less my day. Went to dinner with my grandparents, power-washed a canoe and moved some downed branches/trees. I think I'm going car shopping with my cousin, aunt and uncle tomorrow. I will continue to drop hints that I'm willing to drive a car to her in California if they see one here that they like for her. Because I want to go on a road trip and that's a good way to finance it.- Tattoo general
Okay, I think I'm going to hold off for now. All I really wanted was for someone to sketch me something a little bit more detailed than what I threw together on my own since I'm no artist. I was planning on going to whichever artist I end up choosing for the real design since I definitely want the person putting it onto my skin to be the person who designed it. I just want to be sure that it's something that I really like before I actually commit to it, especially since I think it's going to end up being a pretty big piece. Which maybe is ill-advised for a first tattoo, but I don't think I'm going to be getting it for at least another year or maybe even two. So yeah, for now I'm going to work on getting the idea how I want it myself or maybe enlisting the help of a friend if possible. I'm definitely going to get whoever is going to actually do the tattoo to do the final design though.- Tattoo general
I don't have an artist to go to as I haven't had any work done (and I haven't researched at all at this point), so likely if I went to a tattoo artist they wouldn't be the one doing the actual inking anyways. I do have an idea, I just want to see my idea in a somewhat higher quality because I want to sit on the idea for a long time to ensure that I like it enough to put it on my body. However if you guys think that an artist would be willing to sketch something up for me even if I won't be having the tattoo done anytime soon, I guess that's a good place to start. For the time being though I'm going to try to make friends with an artist haha- Tattoo general
So as someone with no tattoos, how would I go about getting someone to design an idea for me? I don't want to go to a tattoo artist and ask them since I probably won't end up getting it, at least for like a year or more. None of my friends are much better artists than I am, although one of my ex's friends has designed a bunch of tattoos and is a fantastic artist, but we never really got along that well. I could always commission it, but I'm short on cash and I'm not really looking for a final design on anything since once I decide to get it (if I do) I'll just have whoever is going to do it give me a final design. Once I decide to get it I'll be willing to pay pretty much whatever it costs to get what I want, but in the meantime I'm really looking for a no/low cost way to have at least some "concept art" done for me.- Real life pictures - 4
My hair is quite fluffy, that's a totally normal reaction haha Edit: I was looking through the thread for shits and giggles and I came across a lot of old pictures of me. A lot of them were kind of shitty but some made me miss my old hair. I almost want to grow it back.- Today...
Going to the Red Sox game tomorrow, should be pretty fun. I've never been to a pro baseball game and while baseball isn't really my thing, the seats are great and my uncle will probably buy me whatever food I want. Hanging out with my cousin before that although all the ideas for plans we had have been ruined since the rock climbing gym we were going to go to doesn't open until 4, and it's supposed to pour tomorrow so hiking isn't an option either. We'll probably just get food or something. Other than that my time away has been pretty good. I did some work for my grandparents today, but yesterday and the day before I water skied and more or less [bleep]ed around at the lake. Unfortunately being only 20 instead of 21 has meant I can't take advantage of all the beer I could ever want to drink. Which is kind of sad but what can you do, right? Edit: Also, I've been using spotify for a little over a week now. It's pretty awesome, I didn't want to use it before because it had to be linked to your facebook account, but it doesn't anymore! So if that was stopping anyone else from using it, check it out or something.- Real life pictures - 4

Dropped a little over $7k for the upcoming semester, cheapest one yet (due to not having to pay $3000 a semester for a meal plan. Buying and cooking my own food should be under $1000 a semester.) Granted I couldn't afford it so my dad payed for me. Which is extremely generous and probably undeserved. I should work harder at school. Also, I didn't know the Ender's Game movie was coming out soon. I hope to god it's good. I'm afraid they're going to kill it though. I'll watch the trailer. Watched it. Looks decent but I still don't think it'll do the book justice. I'm afraid they'll make it to action-y when that's barely what the book is even about. And they'll probably cut out the actually important violence. I'll still go see it for sure though. I just hope they give Bean enough screen time. I always liked him better than Ender anyways. Probably because I read Ender's shadow before Ender's Game.- Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
We had two showers for 50 guys on a floor. Or I guess more like 46 or something but still. Next year it's one for 4 guys so that's not bad at all. (Technically there were 4 showers, but it was really just two shower heads in one shower with a curtain in the middle so it was really one at a time since to use the further one you had to walk through the other one.)- Today...
Going up to visit the fam in New Hampshire tomorrow for a bit over a week. I'm pretty excited, I'm going to be on the lake a lot and water-skiing and all kinds of good stuff like that. I'm going to be doing some work for my grandparents too though, which won't be bad at all I'm sure. I'm more than happy to help out, my Grandpa can't really do too much these days, being in his 80's and with his Parkinson's. It'll be really good to see everyone. (Also, cigarettes for like $2 less a pack? Yes please.) It'll give me some time away from all the shit going on at home too, a least for a week. Next Saturday I'm going be hanging out with some of my friends, so hopefully that's okay. Or more specifically, I hope the girl I hooked up with isn't there because [bleep] that noise. Also I don't know what happened but I find myself wanting to post here all the time now, where as a few months ago I'd just check in every few weeks/months. Probably because I've been mostly sitting around at home all summer.
