I'm watching a bunch of idiots I went to school with have some ridiculous argument of facebook. Part of me is incredibly amused, the other part is just so frustrated at how stupid and petty they all are.

Forgot to get my damn cereal. Oh well. Had a pretty crappy day at work, but it was a short day so it's fine.

We have no good cereal in the house, it's all either super healthy granola, or stuff like coco puffs. I want something in the middle, like miniwheats, or cornflakes, or chex. As such, I ate yogurt for breakfast and plan to buy my own cereal after work. Which will inevitably get eaten by everyone except me. Also my sister has a phone interview sometime in the next few days for a job that has better starting pay than what my mom makes. I'm super jealous, but she has worked really hard and I hope she gets it. Makes me want to be an engineer, instead of an environmental scientist. I should change majors.
  4. Calling Healthcare Reform "Obamacare". Normally this isn't the kind of thing I care about but since Olympic season is at the same time as campaign ad season, I've been sitting through a lot of political advertisements. And without fail, every republican running for anything says that they are going to fight "Obamacare" at least once, often more. And I'm fine with repealing it being their political agenda. However, I know that by calling it Obamacare, there are tons of people who will vote for them because it's anti-Obama, while if they had said that they plan to fight against Healthcare Reform, plenty of those same people wouldn't care, or would even be less likely to vote for that candidate. Not really a pressing concern or annoyance of mine, but one of these ads came on while I was eating breakfast and I thought I'd post. *I'll add a disclaimer here saying that being against the Healthcare reform isn't a bad thing, nor do I think that everyone who is was tricked into it by blind hatred of Obama. I know plenty of people who are intelligent and have reasoning for why they are against it. It's not the being against it that bothers me, it's the misinformation.
  5. I never did the "mandatory" alcohol education for my school. Nothing happened to me.

I find bad fanfiction generally amusing, but that made me sad.
  7. Noon is early man. Then again, I strongly prefer night time.

I keep losing weight, I don't know what's wrong. I weigh under 135, I haven't weighed that little since I was a freshman in high school. Looks like I'm going to have to start binge eating and working out.

My girlfriend broke up with me again. This sucks so much. I just wish I could stop loving her so it wouldn't hurt so much. But I can't.
  10. I'm listening to the new album by Aesop Rock, Skelethon. I'm two songs in an so far... I hate it. It's bad. I was so excited, since Zero Dark Thirty was an amazing track. I mean lyrically and delivery wise he's on point, as always. But the beats... they just don't fit with his style. Song three now, it's sounding a bit more how I think Aes should sound. The beat doesn't try to outshine him, he's lower in the mix. The piano interlude seems pretty unneeded to me, but he kills it on the outro. That last 45 seconds are reminiscent of Bazooka Tooth with sharper production. Track four is Zero Dark Thirty. As I said earlier, brilliant song. I can understand why it was the first single. I think it could have been a bit more aggressive, but it's well produced and the lyrics are typical Aesop Rock. We'll see how this goes from here. I know no one will read this but I'll probably keep updating the post, for my sake. Track 5, I don't like once again. The synth hits are just jarring, and not in a good way. The hook is not for me either. Not awful though I guess. It seems like an evolution of previous styles, just maybe not in the right direction. Ruby '81, the next song, is interesting. Not something you see much in an Aesop Rock song, a linear story. It's pretty simple, but effective. It comes off more as a poem or perhaps very short story than a rap. As such, it doesn't do much for me in terms of musical enjoyment. But I liked it as a piece of art, if nothing else. The theme of disappointment continues for me with Crows 1. And for the same reasons I've outlined above. Although on this song I dig the girl in the song. Her parts are, eerie, for lack of a better word. Aes redeems himself on the end of the track a bit. The next track, Crows 2 feels a bit better to me. I'm running out of ways to describe the songs without writing redundant criticisms. So I'll just say that this track was okay, for me. Racing Stripes, the ninth track sits with me better than most of the others so far. Some parts are annoying, and the goddamn synth is back, but otherwise it feels like what I was hoping for out of the album; a return to more off-kilter lyrics and less flashy production. Still not totally what I was hoping for though. 1000 O'Clock. Similar feel to Racing Stripes. The lyrics are more warped, the beat is grimy, the claps are distorted and heavy. Aes sounds angry. He is angry. Probably the best so far. The first that I could see myself putting on repeat. Next up comes Homemade Mummy. It's distorted like Racing Stripes. I don't think it's nearly as good though. Song twelve, Grace is pretty classic Aesop Rock. I think it's a song about him not wanting to eat vegetables as a kid. I'm sure there are a lot more metaphors there, but it seems like a very detailed account of him sitting there staring at green beans. The next song, Saturn Missiles, is pretty much what I was expecting from Aesop Rock. A lot of lyrics packed into a short amount of time, almost indescribable because of the cadence. Kind of like a less catchy version of None Shall Pass or something. In Tetra, we see a return of the distortion. And we see a return of a previous Aesop Rock, one that I can't quite place at 3 AM. It's slower, the delivery is jaunty, the pop culture references are sprinkled very heavily. "Three Wolf Moon" and "This is why we can't have nice things." are dropped directly into the song. But it's practically mocking. This song is going to get a few more listens from me for sure. Certainly at least one more where I'm not trying to type at the same time. Lastly comes Gopher Guts. It's personal. I don't know what I think. I know it's good though. I'm tired, no one will read this. Tl;dr : I'm disappointed with Aesop Rock's new album, Skelethon. I'll give it a few more chances, but I don't think it's going to get the play from me that his other albums do. Afterthought: I miss Blockhead.
  11. My point was similar, albeit slightly less legal. However, it wasn't a suggestion to anyone else, just a part of a post implying I played a game without actually purchasing it. Granted it was also two years ago. Crazy to think that I haven't done anything since then. But I do try to avoid doing anything to upset the fine staff here at TIF.
  12. Re-reading The Fellowship of The Ring. It's longer than I remember. I also did an awful job reading it the first two times, so it's like a brand new book to me. Sure it's taking me much longer, but I'm not missing out on like half the book like I did before.

I didn't realize that the "host" had to be online for a 360 world to be playable. That's kind of a pain in the ass. I've never played the Xbox version, but I saw a couple of videos of it when it first came out, and it seemed like a strange mix of different PC versions. The old style of health being used threw me the most, it feels like forever since hunger was added to the game. I liked the idea behind how crafting was implemented, although I've never tried it so I don't know how it would feel. My main problem with the Xbox version is the limited world size. Or rather, how small it was limited to. 1k x 1k seems far to small for any world, especially a multiplayer one. I would want more like a 5k x 5k world at the least. Strangely, I find the more tedious parts of Minecraft to be very fun. I think it has to do with my roots in playing Runescape, or maybe because I'm not a very good builder. I really need to do something about that, which probably means messing around in a creative world. Most of my builds are just underground bases, a bunch of rectangles attached to each other, or are purely functional. Aesthetics are... lacking in my worlds to say the least. I also have a bunch of half finished builds that I gave up on for some reason or another.

A fellow mindcrack viewer, always nice to see. I still remember when Oreo(numbers) posted one of Guude's earliest videos on this thread, and I've been watching ever since. I've never personally played a Super Hostile map, mostly due to the fact that the hardware I have couldn't handle the things Vechs throws into his maps, but I have always enjoyed watching them played. Maybe if and when I upgrade my hardware to something less... shitty than my 4 year old laptop I'll be able to do more things with the game. Personally, I still enjoy playing vanilla Minecraft. In fact, I've never really liked the idea of modding the game. But that's just me. What I'd really like is a server to play on. Diamond seekers was fun, for about two days. The fact that it wasn't totally vanilla and legit kind of took the fun out of it for me. Plus all the arguing. So I'll probably be sticking to single player for the time being, until someone invites me to a server or I set up one of my own. Anyways, it's good to see that there's a little bit more activity here. Hopefully it continues and increases.
  15. You have to do one ski man! It's a lot more fun, in my opinion. It's a bit more work to get up but once you are, it's a blast.

I miss my old skin (clean cut). Oh well, I'll probably get used to it. I wish the stickies were a bit more separated from the rest of the topics, but I'll live. Also I have 1 real warning. And one time Tripsis changed the email account that is linked to my account and that shows up for some reason.

All my statistics just reset  This is like 3 months old. I was up to something like 150k stone mined or so. Anyways, does anyone here play minecraft anymore? This thread has been pretty dead, so I don't think many people play anymore.

I'm working as well. Just a four hour shift though.
  19. I actually am sort of interested in the changes. Will it bring me back to Runescape? Probably not. But it might convince me to log in one or two times, although I have no expectation of F2P getting anything useful or interesting out of this. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
  20. I don't know what you look like nearly enough to figure out which one you are. I want to say you're the one in the middle, although that's a guess based off of very little.

So I bought a suit. It's not the most amazing suit in the world, but it's going to work for what I need. It's getting fitted, I'll show you guys what it looks like in a week or so.
  22. People who do ridiculous things to get ahead in traffic/while driving. If it worked I would be less annoyed, but when it gets you one car ahead of where you would have been it's just stupid.
  23. Insert any Louis C.K. or Patton Oswalt clips here.
  24. It's because you all either: Have never played a fighting game ever.Have played a fighting game, but didn't get too much into it because they are hard to learn at first.Think games like these are button-mashers that require no skill.Play nothing but Call of Duty FPS games.Play nothing but RuneScape MMOs.Play nothing but single-player games.Play nothing but Team Fortress 2 and Portal games available on Steam. (Even though Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition is on Steam)Play Super Smash Bros. as your only "fighting game". Nice, glad we cleared things up there.
