2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
I'm on the fence about whether Obama's support of gay marriage will help him or not. It's probably going to re-energize some voters who may have been starting to lose faith in Obama actually delivering on the social change he promises. However, it's probably going to also bring a lot more people to the polls to vote against him who may have otherwise stayed home. In fact, I think there are more people who are strongly opposed to gay marriage (meaning they would be driven to vote just to prevent any pro-gay legislation from passing) than there are people strongly in support. That being said, I think the deciding factor on how this decision affects Obama's campaign is the effect it has on young voters. Since not many people between the ages of 18 to say 24 know enough to have an opinion on foreign policy, economic issues, etc, I think that the social issues are going to be what gets the younger generation's vote. I'd like to think that a larger percentage of people my age are pro-gay than anti-gay, so maybe that would actually make this decision work in Obama's favor. Or not. I know pretty much jack shit at this point.

my firend is down to his ears in the dandruffs
Conditioner would probably help as well. But the main thing is to just wash you hair. Tell your friend to wash his hair. Wash your friend's hair. Wash your friend. Wash. wash wash wash wash wash wash It's like it isn't even a word anymore, man.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Reading out loud in class is literally the worst thing ever. I mean sure, in elementary school it's fine, but even all the way through High School people in my classes would insist that things were read aloud.

Of course, the only adjustment that I do to it is to chop off some 2-3cm every year, and made a long fringe. ^^ I'm glad, I always thought you had awesome hair. Not many people have hair that long, and it rarely looks good when they do. ---- Anyways, my mom gave me some pictures off of her camera so I thought I'd put a few up. They're all at least almost a year old. The older ones will be... obvious :-D

Today...
It's been summer break for approximately two days and I'm already bored as hell. I need to get back to work. The sooner the better too, tuition went up this year, I'm going to need to work like 60 hours a week to cover one semester. So realistically I'm going to cover about a third to a half of it if I work every week from now on. Minimum wage is a [bleep]. Might need to look into getting a second job. Mod Edit: Not a good joke, especially not tonight sorry. Sorry :(

Is there a God?
Never understood the point of a religious debate. No one ever comes out thinking "Man, I'm glad I debated religion today. I now understand the other side and am a better person because of it!" So, because of that I'm going to say my view of religion and then duck out to never post here again. -------- I'm non religious, although I wouldn't say I identify with atheism due to it practically being a religion in itself. I would say I am apathetic towards religion; its presence, or lack thereof has no bearing on my daily life. I've never really believed in any religion, I've just looked at it in the same way I would a work of fiction. That said, I would be pleasantly surprised if there turned out to be a benevolent deity. It certainly seems to me a better alternative to nothingness after death. Plus it would be satisfying to be able to know life's secrets. If there is a deity like this, I don't think its prerogative is to be worshiped. If that's what it wanted, surely it would have shown itself or given some more concrete evidence of its existence than a book that has been rewritten countless times over the ages. I think the most likely case of a higher power would be one that has left us to our own devices; moved on and perhaps forgotten us. The other option would be perhaps we are observed as a sort of science experiment, maybe even by a race of omnipotent life. Without all that speculation though, I would say that we were created because of a "perfect storm" of sorts, which isn't too hard to believe with the scale of even the observed universe. To those who want to believe it was an act of God, all the more power to them. As long as they are respectful to others, I'll respect their belief.

I think I'd really need to something on to pick the color, I'm leaning towards gray, but that's just from what's in my head and looking at pictures of other people in suits. However, it seems like gray suits work better on people with darker hair, which I don't have. But yeah, I'll probably swing by a department store to try some stuff on and get a feel of what color and style I'm looking for. I think I agree on going with worsted over flannel. Even though it's cold where I live more often than not, I assume most of my time in a suit will be spent indoors, since not many formal events are held outside in cold or poor weather. Plus I deal with cold far better than heat. I'm assuming that if I go with the navy suit the shoes/belt can't be black, right? It's not something I planned on doing even if it is something you can get away with, but I just figured I would ask to make sure. Is brown okay with gray? Or is that pretty much the same as mixing brown and black? Sorry I'm asking so many questions, this is just a pretty big investment on my part and I don't want to piss my money away by not knowing what I'm doing.

Sounds like what I was planning on doing for the most part. Only real questions are: charcoal gray, light gray or something in between? Where would you suggest I get the suit from, online or somewhere else? Also the wedding is outdoor and in July, so is flannel going to be too heavy of a wool, or should I just suck it up for the sake of future use? Since I live in a place where it's usually not very hot I'm guessing I should probably go for a heavier wool just for the sake of versatility. I'm either done growing or pretty close, I've probably grown an inch in the past two or three years. I am looking to put on some muscle though, but I don't know how much that would affect it. I'm 5'8 and about 140 pounds if that helps make any decisions. While the suit is something I'm looking at as an investment, I also have to pay my way through college which is a more pressing investment at this time. However, I could probably get some money out of my dad to put towards it, so we'll say $300 is the most I can justify putting towards it myself, any more is going to have to come from somewhere else. If you guys could throw up some pictures of what you're talking about (basically you, Omar) it would be greatly appreciated. I'm a little lost when it comes to the higher levels of dress. I don't really know the difference between types of dress shoes or anything like that. I have a basic idea of how the suit should fit, but not stuff like where the pants should break or what the lapel should look like. I have seen from the bit of research that I did that I should avoid pleated pants.

Going to be buying a suit soon, I figured I'd come to you guys for some advice. I need one for my cousin's wedding, but I want it to be something I can wear to pretty much any formal event. Basically I'm looking for something (forgive my lack of terminology) with classic styling, probably in black or gray. Beyond that, I really have no knowledge of suits in terms of what material I want, number of buttons, brand, etc. So yeah, general advice would be awesome. If I missed anything critical just ask me. Thanks for the help, if I get any. Oh yeah, price. Uhh... not really expensive, $300 is probably the most I really want to spend, but $500 is my definite max. Anything closer to $200 would be better.

New Aesop. I'm digging it first listen, bit of a departure from his norm at least in terms of the beat, but I like it.

I like Dandelions. Favorite flowers thread would be [bleep]in' but probably unneeded. I don't know what mine is though. Probably an orchid. I'd have to think about it though.

I'm really starting to get Death Grips. First couple listens I was like "What is this shit?" and put the album down. Now that The Money Store is I decided to revisit, and honestly I love it. Hhhnnnnggg

Much better with short hair to be honest. It suits you (and pretty much everyone) much better than the long hair. --------- I finally got prom and graduation pictures from my mom. They're almost a year old, but I might throw some up anyways.

It's 420 and Spring Weekend at my school (aka spend 4 days completely drunk). Campus is going to be completely shut down, but I have to work tomorrow so I have to go home tonight :( Not implying that I was planning on getting drunk or anything, just that I like being on campus more than being home.- question about the 'harpies'
Forgot about that whole glass eating thing. [bleep]in' wongtong.- question about the 'harpies'
This thread has greatly saddened me.- Today...
Decided to take a nap, I woke up like 30 minutes later to "Rack city [bleep], rack rack city [bleep]" at about 200 decibels. I guess there's a "music festival" going on outside my building. I tolerated it for a few minutes since they played Beat It after, but then the window promptly got closed. - Today...
