  1. But when money is involved isn't that make it buyable meaning RC cape is buyable? And even so, does that make buyable capes like construction less worthy (which is statistically the rarest cape)? You can't really say all the buyable ones are easier than the unbuyable ones. There are exceptions on both ends, like combat skillcapes which are easy and not buyable
  2. Thats acctually a really good idea, because that wont ache, cause msot people say "mine 2, drop 2" Wehre this is mine 2, as ure about to mine the second, drop 1. Really good! yup, the idea is that you only click once, (as you can prepare a right click and hover over "drop granite") and lose virtually no precious time as opposed to dropping all at the end which not only is annoying but wastes time. Originially thought of this as an alternative to hireing a granite dropper and it seems to be usefull in this situation where you can't have a full inventory.
  3. A lot of reasons, but the last straw was probably the skills + map
  4. Keylogged twice. 380k pure ess with me, i was getting 91 rc and I log into find myself at varrock west About a few day later, back at varrock west but this time my santa hat gone with plenty of other stuff. (how the hell a keylogger bypassed the bank PIN is behond me), This one took place in about 30 mins too. Then I find my account is locked so I spend 3 weeks trying to confirm that I am the real user I guess the most annoying part was the timing. It was prime time for making laws, I had bought the ess the day before pure ess came out, I was about to become amazingly rich with 91 rc. Bang. All gone. Fortunately, 1k sharks later (and with a bit more cash) I got my glories back and 10k pure ess, which became 30k, which became 80k, which became 232k pure ess and back to the law company. One month later I get 91 rc
  5. Ha! that's awsome. They deserve it too
  6. You make that sound simple. It's big but it's managable, I estimate about 8 - 9 days to do it. I think the trick to doing big amounts is to set small goals for each day.
  7. No, you are wrong. It's perfectly legitimate, that's why it exists in the game. It's not a bug, if it was then this would be bug abuse and that is cheating. However flagholding is a perfectly legal strategy and it can only happen if you screw up. You screw up and get a dissadvantage, that's fair in every way. You shouldn't be annoyed at your own mistake. You keep insisting that flagholding is something illegal like macroing, it's not. You can win in caslte wars, but does that mean you should? How is killing a player dishonest? You claim it's cheating when you sound like a sorry loser who can't stand flagholding to the point where he has convinced himself that it must be cheating.
  8. double nat crafting and the legendary 1 mill per hour. Most fast methods like merchanting, staking are exremely unreliable. Most reliable methods like fishing or woodcutting are exremely slow, or bound to a bad hourly rate 91 rcing bring a method that is both extremely fast and extremely reliable
  9. *update* got 72k pure ess. All I need to do is craft this and that will give me enough cash for 99 construction.
  10. Then what you have there is a case of bad teamates and bad organization. Sure he is weak, but he wasn't very well guarded. In that case you should take out the ancient mage that tries to jump him. Or you could fight fire with fire and do the exact same thing on the other end. This isn't easy of course but not all teams are good. You will notice one big difference with other CTF games: They have means of killing the enemy very quikely, what good would holding one's own flag do? they would be taken out quikely unless they just hide. This doesn't happen as much in runescape since in runescape it takes a long time to kill an opponent. This can lead to a lot of games in CW which ends up being both teams are right next to the other flag respawn, and both grab it as fast as possible. That's not really all that great. Finally, this still doesn't change the fact that if you are strong enough, then round some people and go get that flag back. If you can't do that then obviously the other team is either stronger or better organized. That makes it fair for them to win.
  11. It only ruins the fun for the losers, that's only half. You can't just go up there and get a hold of your flag just like that, you have to KILL the opponent before he managest to get back to his side. This isn't an easy task and being able to pull it off is rewarded by letting you hold your flag. You are acting as if people somehow grabed their own flag without having to do anything which is not the case. In other words, it is fair. stopping the enemy from scoring is not cheating, it's startegy. Also you have no eliminated all chances for the opponent to score. If you were killed and the opponent took the flag, you kill that opponent and get it back. Simple is it not? It is possible to recover a flag when the enemy is holding it if the enemy does bad teamwork. That's a very selfish way of thinking "Hey it's not my fault, he was the one who was killed". You act as a team and when you don't protect the people going for the flag you are excercising bad teamwork, this will result in the whole team suffering. If you claim to have a chance against the other team what you need to do is round people up and go hunt down the person holding his flag. He is likely to be guarded by most of his team but if you claim that you are stonger you should be able to defeat him. If this is not the case and he kills you then that just proves that his team is stronger and therefore they deserve to win.
  12. First of all, the bank at the mage arena is out of the wildy Second of all, this isn't about pking this is about RC pking.
  13. It is legitimate. If the enemy gets hold of their own flag it's because you screwed up somehow. You made a mistake and pay the consequences
  14. You don't get it do you. The point of skillcape is to get honored by others, the construction skillcape is THE rarest and therefore you get the most honor. How is that pointless? Furthermore Construction is one of the few skills that acctually has something that you can make at lvl 99. How is it more pointless than, say, fletching which ends at 85? You even said it yourself, a fancy house. A fancy house is worth the effort put into it. I really don't understand why you say that construction, which has many benifits and which is reguarded as the rarest skillcape, is more pointless than common skillcapes which don't have anything new at lvl 99 and have a not so admirable skillcape. PS: Skillcapes gave recognition to players who reach 99, and you claim that giving recognition to players reaching 99 is a waste?
  15. I'm having the butler plank the logs. The alternative is barely faster and much more expensive
  16. Useless fact. the term "merchanting" is slang, the real word is "merchandizing".
  17. I don't think you can really compare a fire cape to a skillcape. It's not a question of stats but a question of pride. the fire cape has the aura of "Fear me, I have defeated a lvl 702" the skillcapes have an aura of "Honor me, I am a master of this skill" One cape doesn't make the other obsolete, they represent different things.
  18. Bit late I suppose but who cares I'm solidus, I've been playing runescape for 2 and a half years. Got addicted by the whole "making materials from scratch" part, now I'm goal driven to insanity. I'm a skiller, I don't participate in combat related features and dissaprove of people who judge by combat lvl. I'm an abyssal rcer (double) and I love construction. I'm always looking for economics theories applied in runescape and will debate fircely about the evidence of an economy in runescape.
  19. No dungeon unfortunately because I don't want to invest in the 2nd best of things, I want the absolute best. I will get 99 con then I will make a full 3 room dungeon with hellhounds and a steel dragon (curse you room limit!!)
