1. I'm in my last year of primary school as I am 13 2. That's why I said - At some schools, we just have homework. I mean, I think if you don't finish the work at school, you should do it at home. But, not if it's given to you for no particular reason. Yeah, in Australia, (S.A. atleast) Our schools are Reception - Year 7 --- Year 8 - Year 12. (Reception is like year 0 for people that don't know =p)

Yes, but if they didn't build a High School / Primary School, there would be more room by making a second / third (Etc) Storie, longer... And you live in Australia, and would know that we have a loss in land for houses. We think outside the classroom, we use Literature, and mathematics everyday, and nearly every minute. Ever thought about what they might want to do in their life? Controlling them is the incorrect thing. They should be able to make their own decisions. Being 18-20 at that time.

The meaning of this thread is to see if people on Tip.It agree with some of the following things I disagree with; 1. Homework. 2. The need for seperate Schools (High School & Primary School) 3. Being forced into College / University by parents or relitives (IT HAPPENS) 4. Going to College / University to party, and not to study. So to the point, I will say what I think; Homework. What's the use of it? We go to school numerous hours a day, and we still get work to do at home, this is meant to be our time. Our fun time. Not more work. The older you are, the worse this gets. It's hard enough if you have a part time job, or not very smart. If they want us to do 'Homework' they should just make us stay at school longer. The need for seperate Schools. What's the use of this? Costs more money to transfer? I do acknowledge that some Schools do infact have Juniour Primary - Primary - High School, but whyare there Schools that cut it at a year? Bullying purposes? Just stupid? Or Maturity purposes? Being forced into College / University. Some people would feel pressure from relatives to go to College / Uni because they did, they want their offspring to be smart, or just because they want to waste money? I remember reading a study that majority of the people that get pushed into College / Uni do bad, or just don't do anything. Going to College / University to party, and not to study. Well numerous things happen here, some people that are forced into College / Uni waste their relatives' money by partying, getting drunk, and stoned. But have a great time :wink: . Although they have a good time there's no use for it. Anyway, to the discussion. And remember, this is all ... My Opinion.
