The rapier is superior over the maul and longsword in almost every aspect besides looks. Dps is everything when slaying and bossing, so you can easily overpower anything you fight. The maul is good for td's but unless you suck at switching prayers then you shouldn't need it. The real question is which rewards shield is best?

Stewing is a hassle. Getting orange spice may seem easy, but I always get red and yellow up the wazzo, and actually getting them to go in my favor can be a nightmare. 30m Is definitely worth it amigo because you only need to ale your way up a level for the strength. You can always stew if you really want to for the extreme ranged. Since you can make money rcing and you need the exp anyways then I say just spend it and go for the gold.

It would piss me off if they released this as a dungeoneering reward. All the current rewards have some tie into the actual skill, like for example most armor and weapons bought outside of the game are versions of the in game gear. Defenders have no tie in with the game at all. This should be left to the hands of a major quest reward; grand master no doubt, and hopeful an untradable monster drop. Knowing Jagex they will release it in such a manner that its under appreciated at first, and no one will use it. During that time I will strike.

This article really makes you think about runescape's future. Runescape-Jagex for that matter- is a buisness, like many others, with the interest in a profit. It is, and was always a buisness, but this is one that has great success. The main thing behind runescape is its unique coding for the great gameplay that has hooked over 5 million people. Jagex has done an amazing job so far and will never cease to amaze its bound players. I am hoping that this buisness dose not turn into a sell out company because the money lost would crush the gower brothers. The article says its worth over $50M. Just think how it would impact them if they lost that annual income. I know for a fact this game has a decade at least left for expansion. Further on i have NO idea what will happen, or if the game will still be around, but that gives a lot of time for some major updates and for Jagex to continue there already complex storyline. Jagex will not sell out, they know how stupid it would be to give up this great game. Also as i read i had to re read the part where google bought youtube.com I did not know that. Fascinating... :-k

Well that was comical. you know it will happen eventually... Except that they won't be as stupid to put in loans, but like a low level monster that drops 500k every drop always... Loans require too much thinking, and Jagex would probably take the easy way out. He He! Feel free to read my story too, please.
