  1. Sure they may have it easier as far material things go, but that is not the only think that matters to living a better life. It can be if you know how to use it correctly ;)
  2. It really depends... I'm very glad I live in rural Kansas in a not poor, but also not exactly rolling in money family. I've learned to be frugal and I've built character as BlueLancer said. Sure if I was to turn rich I would have a different attitude about it than if I had rich parents early on and I was born into that kind of life. However, if rich kids know how to use what they have then they have a definite advantage. I have a friend thta is fairly smart like me and likes computers and his family is pretty rich compared to mine and he gets a new computer every 2-3 years because he thinks it's a necessity of life. :P I've had this current computer for going on 6 years now and it fulfills all of my needs and more and I've definitely learned to live within my boundaries (ie no FEAR or Oblivion) and I feel that it's a more fulfilling experience :) Sorry, didn't have much of a coherent thought structure there, hopefully someone can pick out my points
  3. Anyone have it yet? Any impressions? I'm personally waiting until the autoupdater gets it for me, because I'm too lazy to travel on over to the appropriate site :P
  4. Yeah, i have a whole guide on how to build a computer and all that and the parts and such... Plus my older bro (lives outa the house now) used to build em... How much does the software (windows xp) cost though? I wouldn't mind buying the stuff but in the end would it be significantly cheeper? Get him hooked on linux young ;) An OEM license for XP Home I believe is around 90-100 USD
  5. I used to have a ton, but now I have them al deleted after I found the best game of them all ;) Program Editor (that and my teacher lets us play on my DS after we're done with homework and such)
  6. But "he" does wear girl pants tho. As much as we love him, I say we have to mark him down as questionable along with Lionheart_0. Maybe half man, half girl, half alien emo type thing? Nuh uh, Smavey is the only true womens pants wearer on TIF
  7. Wow...I always thought you were a woom-uhn. I did too, until recently. She still could be :-s
  8. Think of the people that work there :P It's a real downer if someone isn't the least bit scared ....

I don't think I'd ever take any, I feel that I'm 'quick' enough without them :) One thing I thought of upon seeing the general description for those was a story I read months ago (Manna) where at the end there were people choosing to immerse themselves in technology for all the advantage they could get and another large portion of the population was taking land offered to them and not using any technology in their daily lives. (It's a very good read too)
  10. ^ better than I could have done it :)
  11. And isn't lightning a girl too?
  12. Just... WHOAMFG :o Best movie I've ever seen in a while :D and it was surely the only one I've seen in the past few years that had people realizing the twist at completely different points (instead of it just being revealed and the whole audience going OOOOOH, every once in a while nearing the end you'd hear an OH!). So what did you guys think? (right, I guess it just came out.... :P that's rare that I see a movie the day it came out, especially without knowing it )
  13. Most people don't include the writing section since most colleges don't care about it yet. Thus most kids still report their scores out of 1600. The writing section, at the moment, is only for placement within a group (usually). But it should still be in intervals of 10? =\
  14. Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. The common phrase for neutral good is "true good." Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias toward or against order. --excerpted from the Player̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Handbook, Chapter 6 Wheewhoo, wasn't expecting much else
  15. That's gross but true. And do you think Sony collaborated with them in this? If so, that's just wrong. Is that entirely true however? I don't know that I'd want to see every last pimple and ...... I'll stop there, but you get the idea :P

There's a number of great films like that: Reservoir Dogs, like you said, but also Memento and of course the Usual Suspects, where you see everyone dying in the beginning. Yet still they are fantastic films. And I'm sure Daan will know of a bunch of other films that can be labelled like that as well. Personally, I don't mind spoilers if the film isn't a detective where everything is about the outcome. As long as the spoiler isn't too accurate, it's no big deal. The Usual Suspects would've been a lot less interesting if you knew the exact outcome already. That's not so much a spoiler then as much as how it got to be that way is the main spoiler.

I agree with some comments I saw on /. Paraphrased: The advertising would be fine if it actually cut any cost from the game's price.
  18. Even Though I'm getting a Wii first (for a few months/years?) I have to go with. X360 just has the price + setting that gamers are more comfortable with. Option B 1. Xbox 360 2. Wii 3. Playstation 3
  19. And you wonder why people think youre a girl?!
  20. Oh! You said it!
  21. Pics: Well, I have a 200mL jar of them left.... no greens in there >.> Will it be continued? Definitely... although itll probably only be sorted by color since there are so many different intensities(?) of deformation :P like some S's are spotty, but they still give the whole outline and yet others anre chalk white but have an edge cut off :\ (Maybe they do make more reds than violets!?) (a video for those of you inclined http://www.eclipsor.com/video/skittles.avi )
  22. No you're not. Why are you trying to grow up so fast? The last time I went was when I was 16. After that, I felt too old because people asked me why they should give me candy since I was so old. 14 is Halloween prime! You have no idea what it is like where I live. Plus it bores me. I'd rather throw eggs. (who wouldn't?) Seems to me you have some growing up to do. You say you're too mature for Halloween yet you're still immature enough to vandalise property. I'm 16 and I'm still going to dress up just for the fun of it. You'll realise how much fun Halloween is when you start seeing the costumes girls wear ;) And who has time to throw eggs when you're at a party!? Yeah, I'm going to have to say you're too old for trick-or-treating but nobody is too old for a party ;) I wish I lived in town so I could dress up to hand candy out :D
  23. This fact has been proven. Link
  24. I very much crunched the numbers myself, ask Azvareth :P
