Ten more years is one way to look at it. $600 for each member they can string along for those 10 years is another way to look at it. And that's just 10 years of planned updates. No telling how long they would keep it up after the end of updates.

iTunes has been DRM free for over a year. I don't know if Amazon has ever had it, but they don't now and neither does Puretracks. The only way I could ever rationalize torrenting music is when the music is out of print on CD & unavailable as a legitimate download. Artists deserve to be paid for their work.

I will add that you can get the rocks making ungemmed jewelry as well. I make plain gold bracelets every week for my crafting rocks.

If they really want to jazz up Treasure Trails, they should (IMO): (1) Make them rarer. You shouldn't get a clue twice or three times a slayer task, or even once. They should be a lot scarcer than they are now. Getting a clue should be a memorable event, not an expected entitlement. Now I don't mean as rare as Challenge scrolls... but certainly less commonplace than they are now. (2) Remove the junk. When I say junk I mean firelighters.

Just so we all know, Jagex is a privately held company; you can't buy stock in it.

If i pay for something and am promised(essentially what the bts is) an update, can i not express my disappointment/anger? There are genuine reasons for this. If people, or even companies fail to deliver, being criticized for it is the lest they deserve to be. Some people paid only for this month, and essentially, didn't get the product that they though they would- in most countries, false advertising for products is punishable. They don't have to release a bts, but if they do, then atleast be sure they can deliver. For your information(and you are uninformed) the update to be released wasn't only about elite clues, and anyone who has ever done a clue scroll is affected by this. This is exactly why BTS is still a bad idea, despite it's popularity. The shallow sense of entitlement in the RS player base is appalling.

Spot on - I always get the fishing & mining rocks in 2 loads or less. Getting a hunter rock is like puling teeth.

+10. I was accused of botting this past week because I wouldn't indulge some snowflake who was crying for a dfs ("Sell, Kaf? Sell? Ah you must be botting.") But I digress. I really think the ranarr spawn is just to bring some balance back into the prayer potion market. When untradable super prayer pots came into the game, it sucked a lot supply out of the market, never to return. I used to sell my surplus, but now I can't do that - they just pile up.

I find I can complete a solo medium in 30-45 minutes. Right now I'm bagging about 8K a floor (working the lower 20s).

Now, for the better recollection. It was a door requiring 103 construction (I saw a similarly-designed door just now and it jarred my memory). But I still couldn't boost to open it - the strong artisan potion gives 6 + 6% of levels. I'm 85, so that would have been 85 + 5 + 6 = 96. Unless pots stack with hidden familiar boosts?

I haven't figured it by the hour... I am getting about 8K a floor right now on mediums, opening every room I can (usually 100% of rooms). I take my time & kill every NPC, so I'm not blazing fast. I'd guesstimate somewhere between 30 to 45 minutes to do a floor.

This post is more of a cry for affirmation than anything else. So what happens when too many people start wearing fire capes? Or SW capes? When do you step off the treadmill and wear what you want for your own reasons? Or do you go through your RS life constantly checking the pulse of the community to see what is currently hot & popular? Some of us really don't give a rat's ass what the rest of you think of our in-game apparel.

In the time you all spent in your pissing contest, I completed a dust devil assignment and added 4 ugthanki kebabs to the RS economy. :grin: It's really not efficient of any of you to sit here and post these speculations when you could be leveling and contributing. You are either part of the problem or part of the solution. A rising tide lifts all boats. If you take the time to respond to this instead of being in-game super-efficient, I'll know you for the poser trolls you are. I've seen it all before...

Oddly enough, I'm not on the loyalty rate. I let my membership last for a couple of weeks last year. I log in every day, but on many days I just go buy my daily battlestaves. Then on some days, I'll be in for 10 hours. It just depends.

Can bots really do that kinda stuff these days and get away with it? If so Jagex definitely shouldn't have done this or made it somehow bot resistant. I do agree with you that currently prices are only going down because of panic selling. Who's to say Jagex isn't laying a trap? I'm just playing devil's advocate. :twisted:

These are new to soloers. Perhaps it's dependent on dungeon size. Since I started choosing mediums, I get one of those. I never had seen one before.

Well, I went to all the resource dungeons and hit them up for the XP. Now I can finally face Bal'lak the Pummeller and unlock the last Dung tune (only 1 more song to go). But the contents of the resource dungeons mostly left me underwhelmed. I saw the spent rune rocks, and watched several world hoppers in the scant few minutes I was there. Yawn. The room full of blue dragons was promising; perhaps I'll spend some time there with my imp boxes. I don't see the point in yet another room full of fire giants. The deposit box in the Dwarven Mine RD tells me there will never be one out in the Mining Guild where it belongs. For the record, I still don't think it's a skill. :-P Haven't had a chance to solo dung; been a busy day and tomorrow looks no better.
