I may or may not be able to make a live draft, but don't let your scheduling hinge on me. I can make do with an automated draft; it's not like we are playing for money. FWIW, from the Yahoo Fantasy Football home page: NFL Season Opener: 9/9 Live Drafts End: 10/9 Full Season Registration Ends: 10/22 All Drafts End: 10/22 So we could probably slip to next weekend with no real hurt. There's just the one game that is on Thursday the 9th.

Ive found it quicker to just search the urns without checking for snakes. if I ever fail an urn 3 times in a row, I just skip it and move on. I carry an antipoison pot & 2 monks. I try to do at least 4 urns in room 7 + the chest, all the urns in room 8 + the chest and open the sarcophagus if I have time for shiggles. I can almost always get 15,000 xp per run this way. With a conservative 9 runs an hour, that comes out to 135,000 xp/hr. I get slowed down more by people resetting the doors than anything else.

Well, he did say Yahoo in the first post. But it really doesn't matter to me. The season begins on Thursday, September 9, so I'm guessing that rules out a live draft (with the only weekend between now and then being Bonus Hallelujah Weekend).

This topic deserves to be bumped - it's a rant for the ages. As Jagex has laughed all the way to the bank, however, I feel it's a bit like shouting into a hurricane.

Isn't this page showing people search "runescape" more then they search "world of warcraft"? Or am I missing something. You are spot on. Why do they search more? Because they can't find what they want on the official Jagex site, or Jagex' game resources are too cumbersome to use, or other reasons I suppose - but not necessarily because there is more interest in Runescape as a whole. But wow... what a pretty graph.

If the next skill is anything like the last skill, I'd prefer they just sit back and say the game is skilled-out. We don't need any more contrived minigames-as-skills.

Does anyone know with 100% certainty whether long/curved bones are bonus-eligible? Did anyone do them last time around who will vouch one way or the other?

Once more, with feeling: They should just pull out Dung and a few of the bosses and make them available over on FunOrb. That way, the attention defecit crowd who wants to do nothing but slash & hack could only play the parts of the game they want in the way they want, as in “right now and none of this deferred gratification crap that goes along with the rest of RuneScape.” Jagex still gets to collect money from them, and the purity of the game is preserved.

Well, the two skills on my radar right now are thieving & runecrafting. The goal is to become effigy self-sufficient. I will have 97 thieving in 10 days at my current rate. I have 99 runecrafting bought & paid for, and have had it for months - just lacking the motivation. But Labor Day weekend is a big holiday in the US and it is also the first weekend of the NCAA football season. So I may boycott and just enjoy real life that weekend. The easy button has no real appeal for me.

It's a bother to have to run to Varrock all the time with the rocks - especially when you are bumping the limit on bank space. If I were doing SH, I'd appreciate the bag.

I can't find any evidence that darts are faster than knives (or vice versa). As I understand it, you have a slightly longer range with knives than you do with darts. I get by with steel knives, but I am renowned for my frugality. YMMV.

A 10-minute grave that costs 5M seems plausible to me. The clock shouldn't be counting down when you are not in-game to attend to it.

Instead of blaming the fuses or your sister, you should be blaming Jagex for their half-assed implementation of gravestones.

You are either an idiot or just overreacting... I have had all the skills to assist any effigie but for rc since the update and have never been PM-ed by a complete stranger to assist an effigie, and the slight spam of people is barely noticeable if you just don't care about it. It really doesn't break a leg if you ignore some begger or tell them you have full assist 1-2 times a day, and if you can't put up with some social activities, this game likely just isn't for you. Black and white arguments are fallacies; i.e., look in the mirror the next time you feel compelled to use the word idiot. And yes, both those examples I mentioned happened to me within the past week. Ask me once, you'll get a polite refusal. Ask me more than once, you'll get suck my left nut like some snowflake in Edgeville did (who asked 6 times and was about as sanctimonious as you are about the MMO experience.) :-P

Last week, I got mine by building oak lecterns & linestone fireplaces. This week, FWIW, I’m turning off SH at Varrock Museum. I have one pair of rocks to turn in and then I’ll be shed of it.
