  1. I can't believe the brain trust at Planet Jagex added a wheat field behind the Cooking Guild, but didn't add a dairy cow. But hey, at least the windows are purty and there's a street sweeper.
  2. The book is probably in Varrock library. You may have stored it in your POH bookshelf (as I had).
  3. It was an ok update... but I don't understand all the raves about how great Varrock looks now. It doesn't look that much better to me - just different. I am glad they took out that spearwall on the western side - it was a PITA during clay mining. The museum was handled a lot better than the Karamja diary. At least you didn't have to go run and gather all that stuff up again. Now, back to power fletching...
  4. I have seen fishing caskets come from mystery boxes.
  5. I assume you are using Windows XP; please correct me if I am wrong. Please download the Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility from MicroSoft at this link and install it. You can use that to change your default decoder. Try a few different ones and see if you find better performance.
  6. If you see a villager with sticks in his hand, you can ask and ye shall receive. If you don't see sticks, pass that particular villager by. Killing jogres is not a bad way to get sticks, either. Sure beats dodging broodoo victims in Tai Bwo Wannai.
  7. Silverberg's Lord Valentine's Castle is good. If you like that, there's more in that cycle.
  8. Catherby bank has an oak or two nearby. Nice to cut while you are waiting on the tomatoes to grow...
  9. My monitor is connected to my Windows XP box by a DVI cable. And yes, it is a much clearer picture using the DVI cable. I assume your video card has both VGA and DVI connectors, as well as your monitor. What are your video card and monitor, please?
  10. Get your seeds from Miscellenia. Manage a kingdom and take maple @ 100% and teak as the rest. Every 3 days, you can get 27 or so nests. These are better than Wydin's nests, as they don't contain allotment seeds.
  11. If you have the highest level Karamja gloves, then banking in Shilo becomes an attractive option.
  12. The best place is the Brimhaven gold circle, hands down - if you have done the Holy Grail quest. There is a fairy ring near the grail castle. So you can go this route: Zanaris ---> Ring BJR ---> blow the whistle (there is one in the castle in case you didnt keep yours) ---> Arrive just north of the ring Mine the ores Go back north and blow the whistle ---> Go back to Zanaris by the ring ---> Bank Lather, rinse, repeat and keep all your ores. Alternatively, you can mine at the circle, use your Karamja gloves (or the rickshaw) and bank in Shilo, then take the rickshaw back. Lather, rinse, repeat and keep all your ores.
  13. I have the set - took me several days to get that top. Woodcutters don't seem to know anything about lumberjack suits, though. They are always asking me what top I am wearing. I have 82 nail beast nails in the bank. Probably will never use them.
  14. Still alive, but inactive. Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting Hangin' with da IMPS in Lumby courtyard.
  15. There will always be a place for sharks - but they are not the elite one-bite food they used to be. If you have not been trawling, try it. It's easy to get a pile of mantas and turtles now. Really easy. Face it - the days of 1k sharks are over.
  16. Well, I bought an onyx before the update - but it was for personal use. Now that I see the items are not so desirable, I am stuck with an onyx. So it didn't just affect market speculators.
  17. This is too time consuming to be a random event. This would be better classified as a minigame. In that context, I like it. But as something you get drafted into by the JageX random sniffer? No way.
  18. Cooking doesn't need more depth. Jagex recently added a load of different things that can be cooked - and made butter nigh impossible to get in any reasonable quantity, though they did help out on the cheese a little bit. Churn-X is what cooking needs. Nerf the xp down to near nothing for dairy products if you must, but give us mass butter & cheese.
  19. I used to listen to RS music from time to time... before that last major update. Before then, I could control the timbre and volume of the MIDI by using my own wavetables (I have several options). When they took control of the game volume off of the Windows Control Panel MIDI slider, I started listening to iTunes and haven't looked back.
  20. I see them in trade offers from time to time. There are more than many of you think. I will say 350-400.
  21. Jagex is implementing the different languages in the worst way. If you go to a German server, then all the dialog is in German, whether you speak it or not. BAD. This is they way they should do it. Since all the NPC dialogs and prompt are canned, they could be put in a table. 0|English|German|Spanish|Dutch|French|Greek 1|Yes|Ja|Si|Ja|Oui|ÃÆýÃâÃ
  22. I am not overly impressed with the rabbit's foot. I have cut for a couple of hours and gotten a handful of nests. I have worn a Fury instead and gotten a comparable number of nests. It's just too easy to go slay the mole and fund your kingdom. I think the rabbit's foot is all hype.
  23. Right shield half. Been in the upper left corner ever since I finished Legends. Still there. :(
  24. There are two whistle spawns there - one inside the castle and one outside. Congratulations on your discovery of the best gold mining method there is!
  25. I do agree that the cape is perhaps overpriced. I have an obby cape. But I didn't buy it - it was a drop. The marketplace is strange, and the Legends Cape doesn't get nearly the props it deserves.
