The history of your forum/game name.
Ehm, my forum name comes from my RS character (because it's from late 2001 or something). My RS name is an abbreviation of my two names IRL.

CPU Cooler Question
No I didn't think of that, makes complete sense tho. I hesitant on doing that at the moment because I don't have any thermal paste. Am I able to remove the CPU cooler and put it back on without putting on a new coat of thermal paste? Btw, thx for the help so far :D . I'm going to bed and will check back tomorrow. Depends on how many times you've booted up since putting on the new paste, more than 5 times since you put it on? Then i'd recommend you to put new paste on, since it gets "burnt in" (don't know the english word) after a few rounds.

Laptops
I'd pick one of these two: http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/produ ... l=de&s=dhs http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/produ ... l=de&s=dhs Personally i'd pick the "studio" laptop. You said euros, that's why it's a german version of Dells page. There you have 2 more alternatives.

CPU Cooler Question
Np. My first thought is - have you really attached it properly? It's the only thing that would explain your temperature. Push-pins can be a hell sometimes! Have you checked if the paste spread correctly? 85c sounds too much... What program do you use to read the temperature? I'd suggest getting Core Temp or checking in the BIOS.

CPU Cooler Question
Uhm, you know that your cooler is for Socket A and that your cpu is using Socket LGA 775? You need to buy a cooler that is compatible with 775. I also suggest you reading some tests about coolers before you buy one.

Could a Facist Democracy work?
Based on what you see as Communism (Soviet), it was a total facist state - you could be Stalins righthand-man and still be executed. Seeing what Coummunism has done so far, i can't agree that it is democracy. And no, you couldn't have a facist democracy. Fascism always centres around a few lucky with all the power. Say you would have freedom of speech, and suddenly one of the lucky few starts thinking "no, i don't like to hear that" - and he (yes i said he) would remove that freedom. What's your option now as a people? Revolution? Perhaps, but you have the chief-staff still in control of the army. Thus, you either have Fascism or Democracy. P.S - I'm getting annoyed with all the USSR flags! God damn it, i should take the Nazi Germany flag as an avatar. People seem to have forgotten how many got executed during the Soviet era and how opressed the people were.

Give me a rough estimate..
Because if I bump them, people will be like "Zomg why'd you bump this thread?! It's a month old!" Well ok, you found your pc. The parts that exists in it will last for a looong time, gives really good performance. Ok? There isn't coming something revolutionary anytime soon which will up your fps to 190fps in 1920x1200 on ultra high with aa/af in Crysis... Ok. No need to make another post in december. Only new hardware by then is Nehalem and 4850x2.

How To Speed Up Runescape HD (reduce lag)
You're half right and half wrong. To begin with, yes, it could very well be something totally unrelated to Java, including other software, hardware, broadband speed, etc., but it is perfectly safe (and sometimes necessary) to change the amount of memory you can allocate to Java. The only limit there is that you can't set it to more than half of your current available memory (e.g. no more than 512MB if you have 1GB of memory), and you wouldn't want to make your system potentially unstable if you reallocate, so I'd recommend no more than a fourth of your current memory (e.g. 256MB:1GB). Well, since i don't know a crap about Java and didn't know where this came from, it's the stance i take. My caution came from - i don't know anything about Java and it comes from someone who registred couple of days ago... Not something i'd trust. But as proven by you guys, is legit =)

Give me a rough estimate..
Zzzz.... Why don't you take one of your two-three other threads and talk about hardware again? You seem to create a thread about hardware and Crysis once every month, which never amounts to anything.

How To Speed Up Runescape HD (reduce lag)
Nice second post... I wouldn't touch this. If RSHD lags, it might be several different things - hardware/software/internet etc... Changing values in Java is just dumb, might need to change a setting or reinstall java... But changing values is not something i would ever recommend.

I want to buy a console but .. TOPIC CHANGED
Hm, i'd still get a new graphics card for the computer or a xbox 360... But that's me.

I need Game Opinions...
I can only recommend to not spend cash on FC2. I'm playing it currently, and it's really disapointing. I get thrown into some place in Africa, not know who i am or what i'm doing there, only that i'm out to kill this war-lord... All the missions is basically "shoot everyone you see". I was really hopefull for this game, amazing graphics, runs smooth, ok sound etc... But nope. It's not the worst thing you can spend your money on, but there's alot of better things out there. Fallout 3 have gotten very nice reviews... Might wanna check it out. Haven't tried it myself, so i don't know.

Upgrade my computer for $400
A card like 4870x2 takes advantage of it, if it used 1.1 the speed would be slowed down a bit.

Upgrade my computer for $400
PCI-E 16x 2.0 only matter for sli/cf or high-end cards. Here's something i'd recommend - Asus Radeon HD 4670 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP - 70$ after rebate. - Performs like 3850 and will blow your card to the other side of the world. And only thing i can recommend, as i don't know your power supply. You can give your cpu some more life by clocking it, but that's up to you. Otherwise you'd have to buy a new motherboard/cpu/ram. Altho games are more dependant on the gpu than cpu, if you want a better gpu you need a better cpu aswell - otherwise the cpu will bottleneck.

I want to buy a console but .. TOPIC CHANGED
The next-gen consoles will not come until a couple of years. I have no insider information (lol), but i guess maybe in 2010 a new Xbox will come? No idea at all, to be honest. But i'd go for the Xbox 360 with 60gb hd. Good price, and you got many games to choose from. I don't even own a 360, but that's the one i'd go with, seems to be the most price-worthy.

Which one is better?
Might i ask why? Damn, i should really read more about bus speeds. Denis, are you getting a P4 for free or how much are you paying for it?
-
Which one is better?
Socket 478 P4 2.8 Ghz, 1mb, 533 Mhz bus. My knowledge about bus speed and overclocking is very limited, but that's the one i would choose.

Windows 7
[hide=Much text] Hackintosh are legal if you buy your own copy of Mac OS X. Its been a good two years since I've really looked into it hackintosh so I'm not 100% sure on that. http://www.insanelymac.com/ is a site that I check biweekly and it is mainly a hackintosh website, one of the popular ones. In Snow Leopard their are some of the biggest changes since Tiger I believe. I couldn't find the exact article I was looking for but these will do: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/08 ... _more.html http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/08 ... cocoa.html [/hide] "hackintosh" is illegal. You are not allowed, even if you've bought the OS, to install it on any product than a mac. Read the EULA. And i don't know why someone said it looks like OSX, because it doesn't.

Is this considered racism?
You'd be surprised on what people could call you racist for in my country. Example, you can't sing the national-tune at some schools, because it's deemd "racist". Example two, if you're wearing a t-shirt with the national flag you wouldn't be surprised if someone calls you a racist. The country i'm talking about? The country that gets worse for every day that goes by - Sweden. And no, it's not racist to not like indian girls.

Well, i checked around a bit just now. http://www.bjorn3d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26123 - 750W should be fine. Seems lower power PSU's haven't been tested with 280 in SLI. Altho (i've got two altho's) - I'd get a bit more power to be on the *safe* side and to be able to upgrade with some more hd's. Second altho - If he want SLI i really wouldn't recommend it due to the price. I'd recommend a 4870x2 instead, but that's me. I'll stop babbeling now.

Windows 7
Well, i hope DX11 will be a bigger jump than what DX10 was. I'm gonna get this OS. A trimmed version of Vista will be nice! I don't like how the Windows button looks tho, I don't know how to explain it... But looks weird with round+square activity field!

lock please
Pretty nice setup there, Nadril. Corsair 750W (not modular)- 100$ after rebate Cooler Master, full tower - 120$ Just some second alternatives. The PSU's are a *bit too much*... But if you want to put in more hd's or go SLI it's a must have. Otherwise you could go for a bit less.
