South Park > Scrubs Family Guy > Scrubs Simpsons > Scrubs Entourage > Scrubs Countless other TV shows > Scrubs Scrubs isn't really all that funny at all, tbh. I can't conceive of why anyone would hail it as "The best TV show ever".

"Who do we fear? Who do we trust? How do we know?" On the whole I agree with Warrior. The cop absolutely meant to shoot this guy. There's no question about that, imo. As for gun control, I think I've made my opinion on that clear in the thread regarding the issue. I am for it, and this backs up my opinion on the issue. If the cop has a taser in this situation, the victim is still alive.

Please remove my picture. I've tried to do it via Photobucket but can't :/

Most school shooters attempt to kill themselves for one of two reasons (or likely a combination of the two, now that I think about it): One: Because they are scared of the consequences. Nobody wants to sit in a prison cell for 50+ years and slowly rot away. They would rather die. Do you see why life in prison is a better deterrent as opposed to capital punishment? Two: Because they want to be glorified after death. A living, breathing body (the killer's, mind you) with which to punish leaves the murderer no glory as his saga is on going. Another less obvious reason is that they're scared of critics. Some might not be, but I'd be willing to say that a large portion of murderers regret committing it.

:wall: Let's face facts here folks. You don't have a smoker walk up to you on the street and blow smoke in your face. Nobody does. You have every right to get up and walk away from any person around you who is smoking. Excellent point. I don't think these people should be having children in the first place, considering it is extremely hard to raise a child after a certain age who has a need to be active (obviously this differs for all human beings). I don't know what you'd do about that legally, though. I just think that it'd be common sense to not do something to harm yourself or your potential child.

There's freedom sure, but when parent's are blatantly ignoring the dangers of it when it comes to their children, endangering other people someone needs to step in and ensure it gets better. I agree with that. I don't think people should smoke, especially when raising a child/carrying a child, but I think it's their right to. If it causes birth defects in the child, I think that they ought to be legally prosecuted for child endangerment and child abuse.

Like I said...don't sleep on my Chargers. I betcha Philly gets ROCKED this week. The Giants won't lose a second time at home to the same team. Although I really hope the Eagles win :P -
If they are alive, they will still always have the potential ability to cause more harm (unless they are physically disabled of course but that is more inhumane than death). Death is the only way to ensure that they won't escape or get out of jail. Death is the only way to ensure that they won't be a threat to society any longer. You still seem to think that just because someone is dead it means that their potential to effect society is gone. When Martin Luther King Jr. died, his impact was felt nationwide at a higher pulse than ever. When JFK died, his words rang truer than ever. When Tu-pac died, his sales rose higher (had to throw a non-political one in there to lighten the mood :). The same is true for those who are driven by violence, unfortunately. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold (The two murderers involved with the Columbine Killing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbine_ ... l_massacre) continue to influence similar killings, such as the Virginia Tech killings. These people are not afraid to die folks. If they're willing to kill people, they're willing to be killed. Knowing that you will have to live out the rest of your days in sub-standard conditions while being confined to a single building for the entirety of your existence is much more terrifying to these people than being executed.

I don't understand why my posts keep getting deleted. They have legitimate answers in them. I would make it illegal to create any legal document which is created under the precedent of religious sacredness. (IE: PROP 8) I also don't really understand the "Banning smoking" idea. It's a liberty, isn't it? Freedom of choice. If it's not affecting you, why bother? If you can't stand to be in a room with smokers, why be there?

Does anyone have the (relatively) new Blackberry Storm yet? I know 3rkid made mention of getting it if I'm not mistaken? Is it any good? I'm really considering using the money I got from Christmas/My Birthday to purchase it. [hide=Blackberry Storm from Verizon][/hide]

Well, as a result of the steel dragons trip, I'm now about 1.9M xp away from 99 Mage (earned about 200k xp that trip). No noteworthy drops, but I don't mind. Went back to fishing for a while. I plan on getting 94 within a week. My progress will slow down now because school is starting back up after a long Winter break :D.

I'm not quite following. Is she smoking regularly, only in front of the guy, only in front of you, or not at all?

This is not true at all. They cannot affect society physically, but mentally people can influence generations. Just look at MLKJR, JFK, Jesus Christ, ect... No. Taking an innocent life so you can continue to kill the guilty isn't EVER justified. To be fair, the rate is not 1 in 10. It is much much less, but wouldn't it make more sense to just eliminate the risk all together?

If you knew me you'd probably seek me out for advice. You'd also know that I am weak in relationships.

Yes. That's right. He's doing the world a "favor" by executing someone. Ever considered the fact that the executioner might be executing an innocent man/woman? Yeah. The family of the criminal can just set aside their emotions based off of his actions. They can forget about the fact that he/she is a member of the family, a loved one, a son, a daughter or the like. They can just set aside their emotions because of their actions during a small portion of their life. I'm not saying what they did is right, but you can't expect the family of the criminal to just be alright with their loved one being executed. Would you turn in your own brother/sister/mother/father if they had committed a murder? Now can you seriously tell me you wouldn't have any problems with them being put to death?
