October 3 Mil Weekly Drop/house Parties!
deejay_hr replied to Da_Legend369's topic in Tip.Iters Events, Groups, and Teams
Lol man. I guess this is for real, since no one has complained so far, but why have that edited picture in the first post? It's clearly a fake. -
Christmas Drop Party 2007! Over!!!
deejay_hr replied to kevylord's topic in Tip.Iters Events, Groups, and Teams
If I'm correct, santa isn't the second prize, it's the second competition. The first competition is easier, therefore the prize is smaller, while the second is harder with a bigger prize. I like this idea, and I might even attend, even though I'll be a member then. I'd like to see how this will work out. Considering your prize, you might have a huge crowd on your hands. -
Well, you might as well get server space somewhere on a server that has PHP support, aka a MySQL database, and simply set up the forum from scratch. The PhpBB forum is free, so it's not that hard to set it up, just requires a FTP program, a little bit of FTP knowledge and server space.

Just to clarify, that was a joke made about the joke of pulling declines out of a hat. Not me complaining or something. My reason was perfectly valid, even though I think it's a funny reason. Btw, it's quite admirable that you're giving a reason and decline for each application. That's a big job. I hope you can finish it soon.

I'd also like to add my 2 cents. I use this great anti spyware program, which as far as I know is the currently most popular anti spyware program used. It's called Spybot: Search and Destroy. I'll leave it to Peter to vouch it's not a keylogger. :P http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html Enjoy the program, it does miracles.

Well, all testers are bound by the Non-disclosure agreement, which means I can't tell you a single thing that isn't already public knowledge, or on the website. I can however say that the game owns. :D Just need to wait till December. :P

I'm rather surprised no one mentioned this game. Hellgate London is a FPS/RPG made by Flagship Studios. Flagship Studios is a team of game developers mostly comprised of ex members of Blizzard North, the team that made the Diablo series. Some of them are legends of the gaming developer community. Here's a description of the game from the official webpage. [hide=It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s 2038, and London lies in ruins...] From Flagship Studios ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ creators of the award-winning Diablo̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâî series and the fathers of the action role playing genre ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ comes HellGate: London, the next benchmark in the evolution of the RPG genre. Combining the depth of traditional RPGs with the frenetic, visceral feel of first-person shooters, HellGate: London offers infinite replayability with dynamically created levels, monsters, items and events that gives each player their own unique hack-and-slash experience. A post-apocalyptic London has been overrun by hordes of terrifying demons, leaving the city desolate and scorched by hellfire. Those who were unlucky enough to survive now gather in the only sanctuary left, the Underground, banding together in order to gain a foothold against the minions of darkness and ultimately save the bloodline of humanity. It is no surprise that these sole survivors come from three of society̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s most elite factions, each of whom are masters of a robust number of skills and weapons essential to demon-thrashing. The Templar, a secret society preserving the rites of the original Knights Templar, mix futuristic technology with ancient artifacts to create powerful weapons and armor perfect for short-ranged and melee attacks. The Cabalists are students of the dark arts and edges of science which often leaves them standing right on the line between good and evil. Their mystifying spells make them suited for mid-range combat. The Hunters are mysterious, highly trained ex-military operatives who lay waste to their foes with hyper-advanced weapons that blend theoretical science and the latest in technology ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ and their bullets can come from almost any distance. HellGate: London delivers an amazing gaming experience to PC gamers of all types ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ delivering the eye-popping DX10 visuals demanded by the hardcore, and scaling to ensure the masses of casual RPG players can still get the best performance on older PCs. Key Features * The RPG Authority ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Flagship Studios was founded by the core creators of Diablo, one of the biggest PC gaming franchises in history with over 13 million units sold worldwide ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ they are the first, last and only voice in the world of action RPGs. * Beyond RPG ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Experience new layers to the traditional hack-and-slash forumla by experiencing the action RPG from the first-person perspective and through nontraditional character classes and playstyles. * Have it your way - Three unique factions with their own visual and gameplay style, offering something for every type of gamer, whether they prefer the longer-range blasts of the Hunter or want to get up close and personal with the Templar. * Infinite Replayability ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Dynamically generated levels, chance events and massive quantities of randomly created items makes for infinite replayability -- no two experiences will ever be the same and every game will be it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s own unique event. * Mad Skills ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Each faction has three character classes that contain a wide variety of skills and spells that are fully customizable. * London Calling ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Explore post-apocalyptic London, even darker and gloomier than usual. From shattered cathedrals and landmarks to the ancient ruins buried beneath the shell of a once-great city, players will need to scour all of London in search of the unknown. * Misery Loves Company ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be a glory hog ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ fight online. Gather with friends or recruit strangers in Underground stations and venture out into mean streets of London together to erase the Demonic threat. * Hell Never Looked Better ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ HellGate: London features all of the latest next-generation technology to deliver a true, DX10 experience, while being fully scalable for optimal performance on older PCs. [/hide] The game isn't out yet, it will be released on Halloween. However, I've been an alpha tester, and I'm in the beta testing now, so I can tell you the game rocks, and it will rock even more once it's out. Links: Hellgate London Official Homepage I think I gave enough videos to make you interested, anyway, definitely check the official website, since all the official videos are there in better quality, plus you can SIGN UP FOR THE BETA there. Hmm, since the topic has pretty much died, I thought I'd revive it. Is it cause nobody cares anymore, or because most people got rejected, I wonder? Just so you know folks, it has been more than 2 weeks, as said in the first post, so now the announcement can happen any second, and we'll see who the new trainees are. Anyone excited?

Deejay's blog of extreme insanity
deejay_hr replied to deejay_hr's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
So, new update! Since the start of my blog, I've had less than 2 hours of playing. In those 2 hours, I haven't done much. Only 3 major things happened in that time. First, I got Mr. Mordaut, and answered his questions. I used the Book of knowledge to increase my Construction level, which is now 19. Second, I met Postie Pete, talked to him and took a bunch of screenie, which I won't post now due to my lack of time atm. It was interesting though. :D Thirdly, I did my slayer task, and achieved a slayer level of 17, which I unfortunately didn't screenie, cause I misclicked. As I said, I'm a bit short on time at this moment, so I won't update the main post yet, but I'll do it soon. Just a sneak preview: I'll be putting all my posts in the main post, I'll add pictures of level ups, and I'll be improving everything as much as possible, as soon as I find some time, should be done on Saturday. Peace folks. -
Deejay's blog of ExTrEmE iNsAnItY!!!! Hi, and welcome to Deejay's new blog. I got bored, quit Runescape basically, and was gone for a long time. But now I'm back. Well, I've been back for a while, but I couldn't be bothered to start this again. But since I'm playing now, I might as well have a bit of a blog, eh? I'll be changing this a lot, so don't be surprised by the fact that this page will be different every time. My current goal is to get to 50 agility, after that I'm doing some questing most likely. That's it for now. Bring on the fun!

Peter, this is a great idea. Somehow, it didn't surprise me when I saw you where the one behind this. :D I'll make sure I check this forum out every once in a while.

What is Christianity? (A CALM discussion of what it's about)
deejay_hr replied to Adventurer's topic in Off-Topic
Mirror pretty much said what I think. I don't force my beliefs on anyone. I do believe you're going to hell if you don't repent, but there's a good chance you'll have more than one opportunity, so it's really your choice. If you ask me, I'll tell you all that I know. But I won't bug you with what I think is real or true. None of us can know everything, or have all the answers. That's where faith comes in. In fact, I doubt any sane person would become a real Christian without being touched by Jesus. His love is hard to understand at all, let alone without actually experiencing it. Inside every person soul is a gap. A gap that can only be filled by Jesus. Everyone is looking for a way to fill that gap. We find temporary ways to patch it up for a while. Some people think Islam is the way, some thing it's Buddhism, some think it's atheism. In the end, the gap can only be filled by Jesus' love. These are my views, feel free to rip them apart, mock them, say they're good, or anything. They won't change. Also, no one has to believe what I believe. This doesn't necessarily have to be true either, but it's what I believe. Thanks for reading this. God bless you, even if you don't believe in him. :) -
I must agree, this thread is a funny thing to read. You can see how some people are really trying to sound cool and act like good mods. Good luck with that folks, I don't think it's working. :D To be honest, the fact that there are hundreds of apps surprised me quite a bit. Didn't think there would be that many people that know how to mod. Good luck with all those apps. You'll need it.

More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
deejay_hr replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
How exactly did you get that idea? Let's analyze this. So you are saying that members should lose a benefit that we pay for? No, the rows added to f2p would be added to members too. And if you aren't going to pay why should you get it? Already been answered, I'm skipping this one. Jagex giving more bank space to F2P would cost money. ALOT of money. It wouldn't cost ALOT of money. It would cost money, but not enough to even put a dent in Jagex's profit. And who would have to pay for it? Who pays for the game in general? Members will pay for the bank space they will use, and f2p will continue having the ads they have all the time. As simple as that. Members, it might only be a tiny bit (maybe going up to $6) There has been a lot of updates lately. Big updates, updates that actually cost a lot. Has the price gone up? No. It's called marketing. You invest money to make your product more appealing. Jagex wouldn't make members more expansive for 2 rows of bank space. It would be a bad business move. But why should we pay for something we aren't getting? Because you would get extra bank space too. As you so rightly said not everyone can blow $5 a month on a game. True, and that's why everyone should be thankful that Jagex has F2P up and running. So instead of demanding, we should ask for more bank space. As some people say, F2P doesn't pay so they shouldn't get updates. But F2P updates are a good business move. It's all the basics of marketing, folks. So you are asking members to blow more money on a game when it's not even benefiting them. Both points already explained. Hope this isn't considered flaming or something. Wasn't my intention to flame. -

Dunno if I congrated you for the fletchy and wc cape, but congrats on all 3 99's! Nice work. I did notice you didn't show up for the event yesterday, and I hope the reason was that you slept in, and that it wasn't anything serious. BUMP!!!!!!!!!! -
