As was mentioned before, you were muted by a Player Moderator. And I know exactly why he muted you and honestly, I'd have done the same thing. It's against the rules to Solicit, and definitely inappropriate to ask other players to "get in bed with you". If that isn't suggestive, then I don't know what is. I understand that you were probably joking around - but if you got muted in Lumbridge on a free world, you were probably on one of the big trade worlds (1&3). Word of advice - P-Mods really like to hang out there :-#.

[/hide] :-s What rule did you "break"? no clue.. maybe its cus i was flooding.... my own cc.... ? i was only muted for 10 mins... so...? Well yes you were muted but it was only by a p-mod and the J-mod lifted it because it was most likely a miss mute. so no worry about it. Twas not by a P-Mod. P-Mods can only mute for 48 hours. Jagex probably just made the mistake - and then immediately noticed it and removed it. No worries, mistakes happen. We're only human :P

I've got this same problem. I'm going to ask Jagex whether or not it's happening from their end, or if it's just Firefox.

Edit: Mod Jod just said that it was an issue with Firefox. Make sure you have the latest Firefox update (3.5). I believe this fixes the problem.

It's probably an old program/file you had on there that's long since been deleted but is still in the Dynamic-link library. I recommend using CCleaner's registry cleanup tool to get rid of it for you. It's nifty. Also - When did you receive this error message?

Every night or when I'm not going to be using it for over 4 or so hours (Like when I jaunt off to work). It's not really worth spending that extra money on the electric bill to have it on for no reason. When I'm gone for just a couple of hours at a time - I'll just put it in hibernate mode. That's a super low power state that saves everything to the hard disk so it can quickly be resumed later. Also, it helps to restart your computer a couple of times throughout the day - keeps it fast, and cooled down.

Jagex stats that these four things all have an effect on your potential drops: Scenario - I have 60m worth of items - my victim has 200k worth. Would I receive a potentially better drop if I were risking a lot more then him, or if I were risking 200k also?

They rebooted the servers to upgrade the Report Abuse screen. As you have probably noticed it's changed drastically as there are now only three categories of rules. A lot of the bans/mutes were lifted to coincide with the new 'punishment' system. Not all however have been lifted; those mutes/bans that were serious enough to warrent - remain there. They have applied the new offense system. Check it out - Make sure you read updates to it.

I have nothing against the clans per say...but I do hate when they spam their clan chats -.-. Absolutely hate that. Ignore list fills up faster then a pot of coffee.

There is nothing more you can do now then sit and wait. Chances are that if you had recovery questions for the account - and you submitted the correct answers to them - then you'll probably get the account back. Good luck though. No one likes a hacker =/

As stated in the above post, yes this was true. I'm assuming it will be exactly as you say it now. As for the future of pmods/fmods - I have a feeling they're here to stay. However, I can't see Jagex giving all pmods/fmods dual modship. There are over 4000 Player Moderators, and just a handful of Forum Moderators. Giving Forum Moderator privileges to that many PMods would probably be a big mess for a while XD. *sips coffee*. I'm sure Jagex has everything figured out already though, and it'll be a very exciting and welcoming change to see a more simplified way of reporting. I just hope Jagex drills it into some players minds that Bug Abuse has nothing to do with players annoying you!!!!hehe.

In the past it has always been that when you were muted in game (whether by a player moderator or by Jagex [i.e. you were reported by a player and Jagex muted you for a temporary amount of time]) you weren't able to post on RSOF(Runescape Official Forums). I'm glad to see this new change. I think rule breaking on the RSOF should effect your in game account as well.

It's technically taking advantage of a bug, so =bug abuse. :o It's very much bug abuse. They're slapping IP bans left and right for the people who even tried the code, which is sad because even if you were just crashing your friends, your still mega abusing.

Ok, so I'm just hunting regular chinchompas right now and I was wondering, does it matter how far away you set your boxtraps? Like right now I've got them set a decent ways away from each other (5-7 squares roughly). However, my friend keeps his right next to each other. Is it faster if they're closer or farther apart?

Bots are bad. Period. End of story. I absolutely hate them. I won't even go into detail why...but they're just so unfair and just a way of cheating.

F2p: Definitly behind varrock castle. Right next to a bank. If your going for experience, then go to remington. P2P: I always liked camelot/catherby. North of Seers too. All of those were relatively close to banks.

Hmm, to be honest I think a lot of the wealthy elite players would be bored, because they wouldn't have anything to spend their money on. I mean what if you've maxed out your skills and you've got the best armour in the game? What then..? And another thing, players, like myself who played in RS1, wouldn't have been able to see their holiday drops become worth anything, and wouldn't have the wealth that they do today o.O

Ok like I said earlier...If it really bothers you that much, take the cape off. Simple end of story. People wear the cape to draw attention and look *good* so that's the point. You shouldn't complain about something if it's purely optional...

Eh I don't have a skill cape on any of my accounts yet XD But I suppose, if I had one I'd try to be nice about it...at first at least lol..but then I'm sure it will get old and I just might use this little trick :P. Even if it is a little *mean* :P You can always just take your cape off though...wish you could take the crown off sometimes =/

In my opinion prayer is the EASIEST thing to level. The reason? Because that's literally all you do is click "bury bones". However, it's getting to that point that's hard. You've got to do a lot of work to get all that money if your going to buy the bones, or your going to be spending a TON of time getting the bones yourself. And it's even longer if you are using altars. So the skill itself is inititally easy. :)

Easy way to unravel this problem. When you log in, Jagex provides the IP of your last log in. Check to make sure that is your ip. If it's different you have a problem. Make sure you run an up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware scan. The most effective way to do this is by updating all of your software, unplug your modem, run the scan, and then plug it back in. After. you do that, as recommended by others above, change your recovery questions and password. Keep your passwords and recovery questions updated regularly for best security. And remember, never enter your password on any other site except www.runescape.com.
