  1. I do like the interests thing...but why would you add one for seperate games? Console only. There is no need to put specific games.
  2. Ok I'm a little rusty on this one...but here is what I can tell you...some of it is confidential. Windows has a basic tool for 'macro'. It's for people with severe carpel tunnel. Last I could remember...this was actually legal to use. You cannot have the program auto cut, auto fight, etc. It cannot be considered "intelligent". It cannot re-log in for you. Etc. BUT this is not considered to be a bot so long as your there by the computer. This is the reason that using an autotalker to sell things is not against the rules, but frowned upon. However, the automatic macro detection software will probably pick this up as you being a bot..And your are entirely at risk of being banned for it. You have however, perked my interest in this and I'm going to send a message to Jagex right now asking them to clear this up for me...
  3. Not sure how the Wii online works. But I think just a simple box for XBL and PSN names would be nice :) That way the information is already available to you, and you don't have to ask. That is unless the user chose not to provide that information.
  4. That usually only appears when the moderator puts a reason for posting. Sometimes the forum settings can get messed up and it won't put that, unless you actually state a reason for the edit in the box. As for the OP's topic...hehe I just think you have a fear of the color red commonly called "Rhodophobia" (It's real, look it up :P )
  5. I think there should be an optional profile box for your XBOX Live Username or your PSN. This is a very easy thing to add in, and it could be fun playing with other tip.it users :) Note: if this was already suggested then I apologize, if someone could point me in the right direction I'd be much obliged if I don't find it myself first ;)
  6. Eh I don't share your same opinion. I think that if there are that many people rioting...they can't all be wrong can they? They odds are just too great.. As for being entertained by it, yuck. Neveh!
  7. Guess I'm stuck up then... I began playing Runescape 2 weeks after it was first released. I got into it because my friend played the pre-cursor to it, DeviousMud. I'm proud to say I've been playing that long, and I like when I find other players who played back then, and I discuss the 'good' times with them. Guess it's all just a matter of your opinion.
  8. I disagree and am slightly taken aback... Personally I steer as far away from these riots as I can get..I like to hide in the lumbridge church ^.^ In my opinion you guys have every right to complain...just as I stated above...doing it in a more constructive and organized manner...not mobbing.
  9. You just need to watch what you say on the forums...Use common sense. Don't be offended if a moderator comes along and locks your thread. Learn from it! Re-read the rules. Get to know them..make them your best friend ;) Don't be afraid to rant...just make sure it's constructive and legitimate. Don't make trouble when there shouldn't be. It just causes a fuss. And harper128, I noticed you said, and it made me wonder, do they still allow you to report/appeal a forum moderators decision? I don't think you can appeal a lock..but one time on another account of mine I got in trouble for posting a link...but the link was a link to the runescape knowledge base. Not sure if it did anything, because it was just an automated warning message but I know I couldn't appeal that...but I thought they had something like that. I'll ask my friend, or ask a Jagex Moderator when one logs in.
  10. These two links may come in handy in the future for you..read them and get to know them :) Forum Rules Runescape Rules
  11. A tip: Make sure you've got it the right size...I don't know how many times I've had to upload and re-upload scaled down images because I could never get them the right size.. Good Luck :)
  12. Duke_Kaleb replied to Nicole's topic in Help and Advice
Range is definitely a time consuming skill to train. I recommend saving money and doing what Nicole said above. Just find something rather low level, that you can range without getting hurt, and just keep on grinding at it. Another possible way is to set up a cannon, I havn't been on members world in FOREVER, but when I was, I used cannons to train. They're actually pretty fast, especially if you set them up in the right areas. (shadow warriors beneath the legends guild??). However, the downside of those are really really annoyed players. :P Taking all their monsters. A bit expensive and possible impractical? I'd say so.
  13. Nothing is solved by these 'riots'. If you want to get something changed, post constructive-criticism on the RSOF Rants section, or better yet post alternatives in the Suggestions forums. Believe me, Jagex doesn't really like riots... and more often then not it just turns into a huge rule breaking fest that just ends up getting people reported, muted, or sometimes banned and they just get more upset. Jagex WILL listen to you...you just need to do it in the right way.
  14. Well firstly, it's stated in the forum rules that you cannot use the forums to complain about an offence against your account, being muted, banned, etc. That is why the locked it. And even though you did not mention the reporters name, perhaps because you didn't know it, it's still flaming the player who was just reporting what he interpreted as offensive. As for my opinion...I don't really have one. I don't normally report people who are joking with their friends, or just trying to liven a situation up.. as long as it is blatantly obvious that they are joking. My advice to you: just watch what you say from now on, read up on the rules, and just be aware that there are children who play this game, and even if they're legal, drugs are still harmful to your body.
  15. This is considered as the same old rule of drop trading. I know it's hard not to want to be able to transfer money or items, but the whole reason that Jagex put the 3k drop rule into effect was to prevent EXACTLY THAT. Yes this is against the rules, and falls under the category of Real World Item Trading. Doing this puts you at a very high risk of repercussions against your account including blackmarks or even your account being banned.
  16. I agree. I don't like what the Runescape forums have become. I've mostly dealt with that problem by not renewing my membership. It's my own little way of boycotting ^.^. And do just that...as others said, just don't use them anymore. If you don't like something, the best thing you can do is stop using or doing whatever it is. As for the moderators locking everything...my good friend is a Forum Moderator, and I know a few others. And I know their job is a bit more difficult then you think, but Jagex sets the rules and I have a feeling they're getting sort of lazy now...and not bothering to hide individual posts. But the forum's are not my department..so I would not know.
  17. Ahh, I'm glad they made this one f2p and p2p :) Just have to get 4 more runecrafting levels on my main and I can get in. More information about the mini-game can be found here.
  18. Ahh...one of the great debates of our time. I'm all for more freedom and less restriction, especially one the rules. I've always been against the censor, and even *some* Jagex Moderators think it's a bit overdone. However, the target age of Runescape seems to be that tween/preteen crowd. I do think they need to loosen up quiet a bit on the censor, but as for the personal information, I think they should keep that the way it is, for the safety of ALL users. I like other people's ideas of an option to turn the censor on/off which would release Jagex as being liable for things said in game. Or at least uncensor MOST words. There are certain words that I don't think have any place in the game at all. It'd certainly make my 'job' easier.
  19. You just got muted for 24 hours? As in today...because that's insane...if Jagex is really that up-to-date on their reports that they can process them within 24 hours...my jaw would drop. Seems like something that is just MAYBE worth .01 blackmarks for. You should just tell them that you meant Buying weeds. (I believe those are tradable???) But in my opinion, drug references are probably better left unsaid..
  20. Now the hard part is actually finding a plain green cape without making one XD
  21. Haha ok. Well I think I'll just get myself a green cape then. Just plain ol' green :)
  22. Suicide is not something that should EVER be joked around with.. You should have been comforting this person and encouraging him to go get help. To be honest talk of that in-game can attract a lot of attention from Jagex...especially their ICU department. It's not something you should mess with. It can get you in A LOT of trouble.
  23. There seems to be a lot of accidental mutes now adays... I honestly think that they automatically give you a 24 hour mute no matter how little black marks you aquired from a report against you. It may be there way of warning. In the past, it just notified you that you had a black mark and it would give you the option to appeal. They didn't always mute for EVERYTHING. Not too long ago my main account got reported for something little, and I was muted for 24 hours XD. And it was something that you shouldn't even be reported for in the first place lol. I believe I got out of that though..
  24. I'm doing F.O.G and I'm trying to get all the best stuff I can. What is the best F2P cape? or is there a difference between them even?
  25. Just a reminder here, it is not the roles of Moderators(whether forum or player) to become involved with another person's account status. It's up to the player to try to deal with customer support as best they can, even if customer support doesn't seem to be any help. It's sad when these sort of things happen, but Jagex does not ban lightly and without reason.
