Nor did Bruno ever state that his values were the same as that of every other person. What he did state was the most efficient method known to us. Obviously, to anyone who values efficiency (which happens to be a lot of the people who come to this thread asking for help), the most efficient method will... wait for it... matter! That's all bruno has been saying. What exactly is the debate, and why has this discussion been going on for several posts now? I don't think there's anything controversial here. I am far from the RS mathematician crowd, but even I am inclined to agree with them on such a non-controversial matter.

I get the feeling that it's more about attitudes than the advice itself. That is why it bothers me. I can tell someone how I feel something should be played, but I wont outright say they're wrong like you have. Don't tell me what I can and cannot say because it doesn't mathematically give the highest coefficiency rate. I don't give a hoot about high efficiency rates. Goodness sake, sometimes you're stubborn for the sake of being stubborn. No one is telling you what sort of crew of you can have or what sort of priorities you prefer. What they are saying, and reasonably so, is that when other people who do care about efficiency come into this thread, do not give them false or erroneous advice that isn't efficient just because you don't care about efficiency. To do so, is a disservice to those people.

What book are you currently reading?
Actually, that'd be Wealth of Nations. Capitalism, and capitalist theories/works predate the advent of Libertarianism by centuries. Libertarians advocate a very particular form of capitalism; by no means do they hold a monopoly on the system, or the concept. Nor is Libertarianism the only capitalism out there. Far from it. Not to drag this into a political direction, but I thought that this was a correction worth making.

--Mark Rosewater Agreed completely. This is precisely what I have been saying for ages on TIF, and this [is] precisely why I don't take the "Well, it's the choice of the players, no one forced them to do it" crowd seriously. As every psychologist and sociologist worth a dime understands and have understood for ages, humans are tremendously impacted by their environment. If you have a gaming environment that incentivizes players to do obviously stupid things, then players will do obviously stupid things despite how obviously stupid they are.

To get the CW bodies, do you have to capture any flags?

Despite you fine-printing it with 'joking'; I will address it anyway for those who might genuinely think it. When Dungeoneering came out, it was ridiculous and insane to expect people to go for 104M experience in one skill. However, it was gradually made extremely fast to train with each batch of floors, and post EoC, it is ridiculously easy to train. Oh, and Dungeoneering is actually fun. Very few mains actually loaf it or buy floors. Usually it is lower levels who leech.

Don't be silly. If they did that, the use of the sanitary napkin might actually distract you from RS for a moment or two; we can't have that now, can we? That's an XP waste, as the kids these days say.

This is nothing more than the ad hominem argument that Fallstar had. As for this sort of "over-achievement", I have absolutely no tolerance for it whatsoever. It's insanity, imposed on addicted and hapless players by depraved men and women like Jagex. It has absolutely no place in this game, or any other, as far as I am concerned. ---------------- The flaws within it from an in-game perspective, as well as perspective for the sake of real-life health view have been pointed out numerous times. If they haven't convinced you thus far, nothing will. As far as I am concerned, this sort of thing borders far past ridiculous and cruel, and Jagex should be ashamed of themselves for ever having implemented this; if not out of a sense of decency, then at least some notion of common sense. They should also be ashamed of their intransigence on this matter. People often do stupid things or make mistakes; but for them to make this mistake and do nothing on the matter for years, and then only to make this most ridiculous of "adjustments" is a disgrace.

Castle Wars immediately disconnects for everyone in the waiting room as soon as the game starts, so everyone is left out. Way to test this out, Jagex.

Your argument assumes half of us are even going for trimmed comp. I have two 99s... trimmed cape isn't even on my radar, let alone an achievable goal. I don't care for it, but I can still point out its flaws. This. Fallstar's argument is basically an ad hominem attack that needlessly personalizes the issue. If you don't like it, then why don't you abstain from it? It's senseless. Mainly because most of us are not aiming for the cape, and are in fact pointing the flaws within this requirement (not our personal gripes against it), and the devastating effects it has on the game and our fellow players.

Yes, how benevolent of Jagex to only ask for 900 hours for one requirement for a trim on one item in the whole damn game? Are they not merciful? And those ridiculously unreasonable critics, how dare they suggest that Jagex not ask players to piss away hundreds of hours of on bullshit! They are just whiners, I tell you -- they will never be pleased with anything!

Runescape was feeling awfully dead these last few months, with the lack of population density, and the death of many fun activities (like Fight Pits and FoG). This update has instantly revived Castle Wars, finally there are 2 Castle Wars worlds with plenty of people on them (to the point of excessive lag). It feels alive. Unfortunately, since the update was *mostly* graphical in nature, it will probably die out in another week or so. My hope is that at least a few hundred people are still interested in it and we can have lively games for the future.

Looks like the whole building got bombed. I don't mind it, it's a change, at least.

Might as well add in a requirement where you pledge every waking hour to Runescape before you can wield a trimmed completionist cape. Because that's what gamers should be doing in this day and age.

I am a Maxed Player, having done all acheivement diaries and Quests; thus quite the no-lifer, and even the 40-50 hour standard set by Livid Farm/Temple Trekking irks me. Far too much time for one small aspect of a game like RS. I can't really justify making people spend that much time in this day and age, on a very small part of the game. Feels like Runescape has too many small and isolated things that take up a lot of time.

09-Apr-2013 - Castle Wars: Revamped
Looking forward to the update. I was at Castle Wars earlier (pre-update) and it was sort of dead, I hope it has a revival. As expected, Jagex has not decided to change the trimmed cape requirement to something reasonable. Apparently they have some sort of proclivity for torturing addicted players with misplaced priorities. Not that it affects me (I have opted to never aim for a trimmed cape -- it never interested me), but still annoying that they are bending over backwards to enforce some draconian requirement onto people and making sure they "earn" the cape or "abide" by the requirement. If you have to go to such obsessive lengths, it should tell you that there's something wrong with the requirement. Castle Wars should be fun to play, and you should want to play it; any requirement for the trimmed cape displaying your devotion to particular minigames should come passively because the minigame was fun to play and you got the requirement as a by-product of that fun, not because Jagex incentivized you to farm it like some brain-dread zombie. Runescape: where you pay money to work a job.

Even if they were to fix it and give it nice rewards, all that'd do is entice a bunch of PK'ers to camp there forever and monopolize said rare drops. Hardly a fun thing. That, or because of the sheer number of worlds, people would just sneak in at low population worlds at non-peak hours, thus defeating the element of PK'er risk. So then the way to rectify that would be to restrict it to a few worlds, but then you'd end back up at square one.

glacors vs qbd
I like doing QBD for a fun run or two. Though the profit's been declining lately. I can't believe I didn't cash in on QBD earlier on while I had the chance. Oh well, Nex's been going well. Got like 5 drops today, and bought that Virtus Wand/Book Set.
-
glacors vs qbd
I have actually done both those activities, recently. I camped Glacors, got Glaivens, Ragefires (both in the same trip), and 100 shards. I ended up buying the Steads. I camped Automatons, got 1 Tracking gloves, 2 Cresbots, and 2 Pneumatic Gloves. Sold one Pneumatic and bought Static.

Is this clan legit?
I don't really have a problem finding KK teams, there's always lots of forum teams and since I tank, I am in demand. Also, TIF teams are far too infrequent. The only people that do this sort of stuff on any regular basis are Ambler and Dragonkng; Ambler's too busy soloing these days, and Dragonkng never seems to be available. Naturally I would prefer TIF to RSOF, but teams here are far too sparse. As for avoiding Zer0, I probably will, but not because they crash others relentlessly. I don't really have a problem with that.

Is this clan legit?
If you want to join a clan purely to enjoy PvM especially in regards to GWD bosses, have you taken a look at this months BtS? I am interested in KK and Nex specifically. God Wars is dead, and requires far too much effort for far too little reward, with far too much risk. As for your comment on the BtS, if you are referring the instance update, as far as I am aware, Nex will not be made instance-able.
-
Is this clan legit?
I will reconsider, even though in this day and age, crashing is simply par for the course because of the fierce competition (Thanks again, Jagex). I have started tanking Nex (the only boss I had problems finding teams for on forums because of mass abundance of maxed attackers) in my Seasinger; so I am a hot commodity now. Probably won't need a clan for that now (I didn't really want to leave HYT anyways). Though, I can sort of respect a clan that's powerful enough to just throw their weight around and crash whomever they want, whenever they want.
-
Is this clan legit?
Oh, how come?

Is this clan legit?
I am thinking of joining a particular clan: Zer0 Pvm. I need to know if this clan is legit and whether their forums are safe to visit or not? How do I do this?

Yet another Oxhead rerolled, by accident, that makes 2 I have lost that way. Not that it matters, I have 2 Oxheads recruited and all my armours done.
