  1. Acceptable, fair or just....tough shit. I prefer the third option of thinking it's a little poetic justice for, as Jagex put it, trying to gain the advantage. Trololololololololol! I take it you're part of the trolls then.
  2. This. I dislike the flower game as much as anyone else, but anyone who disagrees with the above and states that Jagex randomly muting people (without any warning of the rule change after allowing such behavior for well over an year) was acceptable or fair is bitter or trolling.
  3. Good news, Superior Armours can be fixed at any point of their degradation now. Edit: With regards to scrolls, I'm just happy that I got all the armour ones. I never cared much for Scrimshaws, though I am starting to care somewhat lately.
  4. That's certainly one way to put it. Basically he got tricked by Guthix into completing his obligations - that too, without the fanfare that he desperately wanted. I found him trying to downplay the situation to be somewhat funny.
  5. I was referring to Staking, which they can eradicate anytime they wish.
  6. To be precise, gambling still exists in the game. Only a particular form of extremely disruptive gambling has been removed, that's all.
  7. No more spamming in GE, wonderful! Lots of good fixes this week: - No more automatically getting Festive Aura back, that was very annoying. Frees up a bank space. -Superior PoP armours can now be repaired at any stage. -BoE armour back to 80 stats as it should be. -Fight Cauldron, plenty of nifty fixes. -Diango can finally hold Valentine's SOF stuff, which was just sitting in my bank for no reason at all. --- Still waiting on fixes to PoP armour Alch value.
  8. I have all 3 Helms and Legs, the Superior Versions that is. An interesting thing happened today to me. I had a mission for 5 Chi, 20,000 morale it was. I placed what I thought was 4 Traveling Bands, and 1 Merchant in Ship 3. A few hours later I discovered that the Merchant was still in the same row as Ship 3 crew but was no long in Ship 3 and had returned back somehow. I thought I had forgotten to put the merchant and cursed at the screen, but when mission actually returned, I somehow got 6 Chi nonetheless without any Merchants on that ship. When the ship returned it only had the 4 Traveling Bands.
  9. But Mod Osborne said that a new NPC would ascend to Godhood. Sliske seems to be a likely candidate, no? Given Slike's treacherous nature, that'd be his final betrayal/renege to finally turn on Zaros. Besides, if he thinks he killed Guthix, I doubt he much fears Zaros anymore.
  10. I don't think there are going to be any new regions for a while. They have sort of boxed themselves into a corner, with such steep requirements in Pincers, how high are new regions going to be? It's sort of like dungeoneering chaotic rewards, PoP armours are the reward and that's really about it. I personally don't want to acclimate to a new region, I just want more trade good voyages. Also, they need to fix the alchemy values of PoP armour; currently, chaotics protect over them which is is insanity. Getting the first set was hard enough and that was with generous rewards from storyline missions, I can't imagine how long a second set would take.
  11. I disagree with your proposal. To be more precise, I oppose your proposal in RS's current form, but if RS were to be changed then your proposal would be a great addition. It would only exacerbate all the current problems with the wealth disparity that exist, and it wouldn't really attack the root of the problem. If we did as you said, because of the unreasonable amount of time it takes to get top tier gear (pre-EoC it was hundreds of hours, but I guess now it's like a 100 or something) most people would simply stop getting top tier gear or simply get it and stash it in their banks and never use it. Why? Because no one wants to lose their hard earned armour and spend another 50-100 hours replacing it. So you'd end up with a situation where wealthy billionares would flaunt their top tier armour everywhere while everyone else welfared. Where's the fun in welfaring? You would either have to welfare or get several sets of top tier armour so that losing one wouldn't you set back. Why get top tier armour if you can't use it anywhere? In the old days when the game wasn't as messed, death was a good risk, you lost your stuff, but because most practical gear was expensive but not supremely so, people could just replace it and it served as a sink of items and provided risk. In today's RS, it's unreasonable to ask people to make that kind of risk. If the core issue (moneymaking) was fixed, then you could have risky death again. So really you just have to attack the root issue.
  12. I have been having somewhat better luck, but as a whole the Pincers is disastrous and completely dull and boring once you get all the scrolls you want + the crew/ship upgrades. I have had all my crew + ship + buildings and have been in Pincers for weeks. I only do steel voyages for random port events and reroll the rest in hopes of getting some trade goods. So my PoPs is totally lame, all I can do is hope for trade goods -- which on some days I don't get. Stopping the ability to get multiple port events and being able to farm adventure rerolls was a big mistake, IMO. It kept Ports fresh once you do everything else. Here's what they should do. Un-nerf the PoP random events (not fully, but at least allow us to get more than 1 per day). Also here's some other ideas: 1. After a certain Port score in the Pincers, Surla should be able to give you trade good voyages for her weekly 'Barmaid's Tip', since the region's voyages are all useless after crew + ship/building upgrades. So her trade good voyages should be slightly more than the standard trade good voyages for Pincers are; so instead of 5, maybe 7-8? 2. Give us the ability to buy standard trade good voyages for the Pincers for something like 4-5K stainless steel. That way, every 2-3 days you should be able to buy 1 standard trade good voyage. You'd buy it, and the next reroll you used would result in a voyage for 5 of some trade good. These would certainly spice up PoPs and make it far more bearable once you hit the Pincers. Also, the voyages for spices should be greatly increased, the amounts are too pitiful right now.
  13. Finally finished all my armour scrolls. Just need them trade goods now.
  14. All these lore talks are such teases. Can we just cancel whatever Warbands or whatever other dead content they have in store for us and direct all those developers to the quest sections. Given their decision to make all quests accessible, I'd have thought that this would be the year of quests, if nothing else. 1-2 more GM quests, pl0x.
  15. I really like the outfit personally, the only thing stopping me from wearing it, like all cosmetic outfits, is they have no stats so they can't be worn in combat. They should have been made overrides but I can deal with just the sword. The Sword was awesome, my personal gripe is with the butterfly outfit. Oh well, I got the Robes of Sorrow, which are pretty neat. Another thing I have noticed about SGS is that they are running out of ideas, they are releasing more and more stuff with 2 versions: one version with a fixed colour, and the other with the recolouring option.
  16. I love how completely unimaginative, lame, uncreative and aesthetically displeasing the outfits for official events are while the SGS gets the best stuff. The outfit for this event was atrocious and wasn't even an override. If they aren't even going to try, why bother giving us such outfits that we will never want to wear.
  17. For port events, if you have maxed all your effects except, say, adventurer's reroll, then will you get adventurer's reoll or will it be random what effects you get?
  18. I don't see why everyone else's gameplay should suffer just to artificially keep the cost of a few set of items high forever. That's the same shit they pulled with Nex and those Og Blogs, and the set effects and PoP. I say yay to Chaotic Wand. Oh no, billionaire host's Virtus wand lost 25M in value, what ever shall he do? ------------ Quyneax I was not aware that they changed the damage boost of Ovls when they nerfed the level boost. As for comparisons, yes, I took the conservative and lazy approach by doing the superficial analysis of just the % of health. At 99 HP in Pre-EoC you could hea 14 per scroll, or 42 for bar. 42/99 hp is roughly 42%, whereas the current Pony heals 30%. That was my thought process anyways. As you correctly point out, the lack of comparison makes it useless. So, thank your explanation.
  19. Weaknesses certainly need to be looked into, but the main concern is the HP, it's a far more pressing concern. At the moment people just run through rooms spamming specials and it drops everything. Pre-EoC, you actually had to prep up a bit and think through it, now you just spam specials. Actually their boost was nerfed. Pre-EoC, Overloads boosted (assuming you had 99 in all combat stats) to 125 Att/Str/Def, 122 Ranged, and 107 Mage. Now they just give a flat 116 in all combat stats. As far as the health-drain I sort of liked it, but I don't care too much on that, I suppose. Virtus Wand is a luxory item. High levels need another Wand that is accessible, and what better way to introduce it than Dungeoneering? Unicorns heal 30% of your HP, if you unload all 3 specials. Before it used to be 42%. Drygores are completely overpowered, not just in relation to hypothetical 90 mage/range gear, but just in comparison to everything. This needs to be fixed, just like Dharok's got fixed. It's how Dharok's was... on steroids. It's completely antithetical to the notion of EoC (you know... balancing the combat triangle). If they love drygores so much, Jagex should just reroll EoC back, because it shits on the entire premise of the project. Also, unless I am mistaken, we have absolutely no idea when 90 mage/range will be released. It's already been 3 months.
  20. Just a few things off the top of my head: -Bring back the combat experience rates back to whatever they were pre-EoC. -Fix Dungeoneering so it's actually challenging (the monsters; give them more health, a lot more health). Right now Dungeoneering is a joke. Revert the boosts of OVL back to what it was pre-EoC. -Remove the new combat formula, it is atrocious. Being level 200 combat should mean that you have actually mastered all the combat skills, not 2 out 8. That's ridiculous. It's the equivalent of giving out Max Capes for having only gotten 2/8 x 25 skills to 99. -Introduce a Chaotic Wand and a Chaotic 2h Sword. -Stop giving sooo much free bonus experience all the time, it is destroying the game and upsetting what used to be a good equilibrium. -Fix Unicorns. Pre-EoC they used to be able to heal nearly half of your XP, now their healing is pitiful and worse yet, it reduces your adrenaline. -Give Magic more useful specials, most of the current ones are sort of lame. Magic needs some more hard hitters. -Give high level monsters/bosses a lot more HP, and slightly more DPS. -Fix autocast spells so that you don't have to set autocast back on every new dungeoneering floor. -Nerf Drygores and the exponential curve. Tiers should be obviously better than their previous tier, but against the combat style that they are weak to, a strong tier weapon should not guarantee automatic victory, it should still be a challenge. So, for instance, a warrior in level 90 Melee gear should still have to struggle against a Mage in level 85 Mage gear. -Undo the recent update whereby Mage weapons can no longer be used to Melee with or use Melee specials. It's very annoying, lame and illogical. I should be able to whack a person with a Battle-staff if I want, with the understanding that it would be vastly inferior in Melee in comparison to real Melee weapons. -Give Range cape and the Max cape Ava's ability. As it currently stands, Rangers are at a disadvantage: Meleers/Magers can use their respective skill capes without any major hurdles, with the understanding that the critical boost will be lower than Fire Cape/Mage Arena cape, but Rangers can do no such thing because of the annoyance of picking up arrows. -Give Tokhaar-Kal and Fire cape critical boosts in all 3 combat styles, with the amount of effort it takes, it is ridiculous that they have worse stats than Skill capes and the ever cheap Obby cape. I know that Jagex wants to standardize all 3 combat styles, so each item has an equivalent in the other 2 styles, but the combat styles and inherently different, this approach shouldn't be taken to an extreme. They should be relatively equal, but still different. I know they want to pretend that the 2 Tzhaar capes are the Melee equivalent of Ava's Alerter and Mage Arena capes, but they obviously aren't. These are all just small things that annoy me as of late. I have a bunch of other stuff but don't have time and I am sort of blanking.
  21. My pure speculation on the matter is that it was precisely because Gelinor (I think it didn't) didn't have any inhabitants that it attracted the interest of the Gods. It meant that they could fashion Gelinor to suit their own purposes, whereas other worlds often (but not always) were filled with bloody wars (like Guthx's homeland) which would require a considerable effort to conquer. Also, it's possible that they were aware of the ancient energies of the Elder Gods (like the Stone of Jas) residing in Gelinor.
  22. Just got a Cresbot. I am sort of glad, since the gloves can at least be bought whereas the Cresbot can't be. I guess I will still be around with Automatons until I get bored since I have got the main thing from there now, no compulsion to stay if I don't feel like it.
  23. Like I said I got 5 adventurer rerolls this past week, almost every day. I thought those were working fine?
  24. What? I don't understand what they fixed with regards to adventurer rerolls, I thought those were working fine?
  25. I never really noticed Dragonbreath missing often for me, but what you guys are saying seems to make sense. I have noticed that from certain angles it will only hit 1 target despite it being very close to another. In other instances if I change the angle, it will hit both targets.
