You're taking those facts completely out of context. Why don't you compare Chicago Pre-Gun Ban to Chicago Post-Gun Ban? Those stats would be a little bit more accurate. Oh wait, where did you even get those statistics? Care to share a link for us? To compare a majority rural state to a major gang related metropolis is absurd. Every time you type anything on this thread you just make yourself look like a bigger fool.
  2. If she's staring at you a lot then she's definitely into you. Or you have a huge spider on your forehead. Nah, but seriously just be nice to her and make sure you put yourself out there for her. Be outgoing.
  3. I meet a lot of my friends through going to concerts and from people that are fans of my band (girls love the drummer :P ). I also know a lot of people through sports from other towns. Most of my true best friends I've been going to school with since we were in Kindergarten.
  4. I thought about it for awhile. Maybe he did it on purpose because of bicycle "treads" on the tires...maybe not. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I do believe this is the biggest EVER. Really, just re-read your post and see how ignorant you sound.
  6. I thought this article was average at best. I'm not an advocate of no-lifing and I've never done it, but I can honestly say that 9 times out of 10 a level 70 character will be a complete moron. In most cases, I just ignore begging pleas from them or acronym filled attacks when I "take their monster". I don't attack or ridicule. Give respect to get it.
  7. I thought that's what you were referring to with those two sentences, if not, well then I have misunderstood your aim. I apologize.
  8. [hide=quote] Are you really trying to tell me that the makers of RuneScape are putting Pagan references into the game via the skill of Runecrafting? Runecrafting is a skill to make things that help you cast magical spells! That has nothing to do with Paganism WHATSOEVER. Where the hell does Runecrafting fit into any of this crap? It sounds like daddy's been telling you that everything that isn't Christian must be evil. Before you start throwing immature flames, perhaps you should do a bit of studying? ;) http://newage.suite101.com/article.cfm/runecrafting Yes, That is what the translation of the word 'Paganism' means. However, it is not what Paganism is. Paganism is a generalisation for religions that pre-date Christianity. The symbols that are commonly used on Runes, are characters from the Futhark, as Germanic NeoPaganism seems to be bigger on Runecrafting, than other smaller religions. EDIT: Also, why don't you read some of my posts? I am a Asatruar, why would I hate my own people? [/hide] Of course your denomination or of Paganism very much may deal with Runecrafting, but I was referring to how Pagansim came to be. Original Pagan beliefs are not even really beliefs at all. Romans considered them Pagan because they were not exposed to Christianity and rather believed that the earth was the greater being and each of the elements of the earth had a power behind them. Most of these people were nomadic in a sense and only lived to survive, not to serve a higher being; thus Pagans. Believe me, I've studied all of this material before and to classify "NeoPaganism" with the true earliest form of Paganism is very incorrect. They are two vastly different worlds.

Are you really that insecure that you assume that everyone wants to kill you? I really don't understand the incessant need to carry a gun around for "protection". Even in some of the worst neighborhoods I've been in, I've never felt that carrying a gun would have actually helped me. I've stayed in one of Milwaukee's lower end neighborhoods (my cousins live there) and I saw people holding guns on the street outside the house, but I never would have even thought to carry a weapon to "protect myself". These stupid caveman-esque pro-gun control statements are starting to sound like nails on a chalkboard to me. Hand guns serve no purpose but to injure or kill another human being. The perfect reason why they should be completely banned.
  11. I became a Sun Worshiper overnight. Well, not overnight because you can't see the Sun, but first thing the next morning I was worshiping the sun. But I don't pray to the Sun. I wouldn't impose on our friendship; it's not nice. You know who I pray to? I pray to Joe Pesci because he looks like a guy who can get things done. Ok enough Carlin : Runescape is a made up fairy tale land where nothing has meaning. If you or your friend are paranoid or offended by a made up game, then that is very unfortunate.
  12. Didn't laugh until the bunkbeds part started. Looks to be average. Definitely better than Blades of Glory was though.
  13. A lot of the people loved them because they were so "peaceful". I've always thought that if I wanted to listen to "everyone love each other" music, I'd just listen to THE KING of that style, Cat Stevens.
  14. I don't see it going any higher than 11m. It hasn't been that high for a long time.
  15. There's a big difference in sleep patterns in humans. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/88/1/26 Long sleepers require 9+ hours per night to feel like they can function the next day. Short sleepers require 6 hours or less per night to feel like they can function the next day. I am a long sleeper. 10 hours per night usually.

Although I don't mind people owning guns for hunting purposes, there is no reason to have a handgun besides to shoot another human being. I have plenty of friends that hunt (I live in a town of 2,000 people). Hunting is their life. Bow or gun, these kids and their parents love hunting. Not one of them uses a handgun to shoot a deer, turkey, duck, coyote, or pheasant. There isn't a way we could ever make all guns illegal, nor is it a just thing to do. Our country was founded on hunting for your food. Honestly, just play Oregon Trail and you'll understand. But I think this article of the Constitution should be amended to fit more modern needs of our society. You have no reason to carry a gun on you. This was instated almost 250 years ago when there was threat from another country's military, not some street thugs. It needs to be amended. Own rifles for hunting purposes kept in your own home? Absolutely. Own a handgun and conceal and carry it? Absolutely not.

  18. It's the whole album, not just the song Lateralus.
  19. My best story includes one set of Barber's Clippers and one eyebrow of a person that I've never gotten along with and have had a few fist fights over the years. Never pass out at a party I'm at if you have some unfinished business with me :D
  20. The US troops staying in Korea only antagonized the North Koreans, they didn't prevent anything from happening. I say if we wouldn't have left troops there then they would have no right to be angry with us. When there isn't occupation, countries have no reason to hate another. And by the way, the United Nations made North Korea back down, not President Bush.
  21. It's been happening to Iraqis and hundreds of other countries for a very VERY long time. I did state in my post that the South Koreans wanted us there. My point was that when we meddle in other people's business, it comes back to bite us. We have extremely good relations with Vietnam now but unlike Vietnam, North Korea now has nuclear capabilities and guess who they're threatening with them...Seems to me that in the long run just leaving something alone is a lot better idea than trying to fix every little thing in the world. The people that are supporting this war in the government were probably around during the Vietnam era and don't want to see another war that ends in us just leaving without a giant victory. Of course that's just speculation on my part, but I'm sure that it has some truth to it.
  22. The development of the machine gun has turned wars into, "who can shoot each other from further away". There really hasn't been a real war since the Civil War. I wish armies still fought like that But greatest invention...I'd have to say the drums. If those hadn't been invented we would never know the likes of Neil Peart, Buddy Rich, or Danny Carey! How terrible of a world would that be?
  23. Alright I'll give you two examples of why "getting the hell out" is the best option. Korean War. We went there, fought a very long and useless war (just because the fact that it ended in a stalemate) and basically stuck around to "fix" everything that was supposedly wrong with that country. The Koreans, except for the South Koreans, didn't want us there. Instead of leaving when we were beat, we left troops stationed there even though there was still hostility towards US forces from the North Koreans. They've been stationed there since the Korean War and are still there today. Vietnam War. We went to Vietnam thinking that it was going to be a cakewalk. Of course since the French couldn't fix it, surely the United States could. Well, we did for awhile. Then came the famous Tet Offensive. The North Vietnamese did everything and anything they could to destroy American forces. Long story short, we ran with our tail between our legs out of Vietnam. Everyone left. Not a single troop was left in Vietnam to "fix" the country for the long run. Now answer this: Which one of those countries has the most animosity for us now? It seems to me that "getting the hell out" is the best option for the future of OUR country and Iraq.
