  1. wouldnt that be a slow and painfull death and not rapidly? and wtf didnt you take it to the vets if you knew it was dying and it was a WEEK LONG If you know anything about rat poisoning, you'd know the only way to fix it would be a complete blood transfusion. We would have had to have her taken to the University of Minnesota's Animal Clinic and pay thousands of dollars. We didn't know that it was poison until after she died. We just knew she was dying because her back leg started to swell up and she couldn't move very well. Do you really think that we would just let our dog sit in agony and do nothing?
  2. To be fair I could say that all soccer is is people sprinting around a field that is too large for 90 minutes and that there is no action except when a goal is scored which doesn't happen often because of the nature of the sport. If you want to get simplistic, you can describe any sport in that way.
  3. It's like AC/DC. In all reality, they're not that amazing or deep but sometimes, they're just right for a situation. Once in awhile I like a stupid comedy like this.
  4. Just listened to the new Mars Volta album. F-cking amazing.
  5. See I think they know death as an instinct. My old dog ate rat poison put out by our neighbor (on purpose, and he killed 3 other dogs on our block the same way) and was dying quite rapidly over the course of a week. I had a hockey game in the Twin Cities an hour away and we came home to my dog lying by the door waiting for us. Not 3 minutes after we came back she died with us next to her. It seemed like she knew she was dying and wanted to wait for us. I don't really know if that's true, but it seems she had the instinct of death.
  6. I'm on the same page as you, I think almost all of the superhero movies suck huge balls. Well Played. I can't get into rap no matter how hard I try. Or Anime.
  7. For sure, my friends didn't tell me the ending of it either, what a hilarious way to end it.
  8. Paul T. Anderson double feature from last night. Watched Boogie Nights for the first time. Pretty good.
  9. Love that one, in my Western Civilizations class we took a day to cover it. Our prof told us either you "get it" or you "don't". I "get it" haha.
  10. A song. Funny thing, I just took the last two weeks to master that song on drums. I might record/film me playing it at my old high school's auditorium and post it on here. On topic, life is pretty meaningless in a basic way, but the fun of life is what you make it. For some, making it dull and cynical is their interpretation of life, but for others being joyful and finding happiness in every day accomplishments is what makes it worthwhile. It's really an open-ended question because of our freewill to interpret it as such
  11. I just got done watching Magnolia. I was absolutely speechless and blown away after 3 hours. Amazing writing in that movie. Simply amazing.
  12. Stravinsky is better than Tchaikovsky by a mile.
  13. Holst is an amazing composer. 1st and 2nd Suites are my favorite.
  14. I've been watching Conan on Late Night for years and honestly, last night's show just confirms he's going to keep being the goofiest and funniest guy on air. His set looked freakin' amazing and he didn't sell out and do ridiculously stupid material, he stuck to doing his classic routine. Anyone else a die hard Conan fan?
  15. Hardcore dancing is for idiots. I dance like a 6'4" white dude.
  16. Why would he plead guilty to this? I would have fought it in the Supreme Courts. Maybe there's more to the story than we're getting. Possible things on his computer and such.
  17. With Twighlight As My Guide- The Mars Volta I snagged a four song leak off the new album. It's awesome.
  18. I had an entire liter of Smirnoff to myself in about 3 hours this last Christmas Break. Blew a .39. I almost died, it was a crazy night.

    Sims 3

My girlfriend is absolutely obsessed with this game. Has every expansion for Sims 2 and is going crazy now that Sims 3 is coming out. It's ridiculous. I won't see her for a good week unless I visit her basement the week it comes out.
  20. Really, how about Abraham and sacrificing his own son. Sounds like a test to me.
  21. I hate Wal-Mart and Green Day equally. Hopefully they destroy themselves in this process.
  22. Exactly. And things like the species of white moth during the 19th century in England that completely turned coal grey because of the massive amounts of factories pouring out soot into the air, turning most surfaces dark. Those that could not survive died off and those that had the mutation, lived on.
  23. Really, it's a primate, with a similar skull to humans and an opposable thumb: something no fossil has had before in the class. Still, I want hard proof not mights, could be, etc. I hate to speculate. I do find it really cool find for science but as of right now I just see it as a huge publicity item. What they have been saying before was mights, maybes, and possiblies. This bridges the gap in human evolution. We've seen evolution in countless other species, but have not been able to complete the gap in humans. This is not a might, this is 26 years of studying one fossil before they claimed it was "The Missing Link". This puts away all of the mights, maybes, and possiblies. Kenshin: I would have simply agreed to disagree before today but now that evolution has factual, scientific evidence in favor for it without a gap, I cannot do that. I have never once posted (that I can remember) on the "Does God Exist?" thread. I don't argue religion with people anymore unless it seriously encroaches on someone's rights. I.E.: laws concerning homosexual marriage, abortion, etc.
