No matter what method you use bring runes to cast at least air strike, then you can have the chance of getting the first strike as well as they can. I've actually found it helpful to just find a corner and talk to the people there and start taking turns. I melee the mithrils and just turn protect from melee on and I kill as fast as someone using a rune crossbow and eat just the same, unless they keep protect from magic on. The bonus of just getting to know your "corner" mates is you can help the rangers out by getting their bolts for them and dropping back at their feet and they can help out (magers too) by attacking the dragon first and then backing up and letting you hit if other incooperative people interrupt you As of now I can't say what's better because each technique is killing around the same amount of time given the same skill level really. I can melee one with black dragonhide on with protect melee on as easily as my mate ranging, and vice versa. I don't think there is a "secret" best way to killing mithrils at the time. No matter how you attack they can hit you back and it's very very balanced no matter how you approach it. Edit: Though crossbow with diamond bolt tips seems to be the best way around ... pierces through defense, :P

Er they stack in the bank but if you are using as bait in inventory they don't.

Go buy some granite legs as well and try running :wink: Best cheap combo would be that body with dragon legs but then you end up looking like a linebacker. And I don't see a football in Runescape.

Madder_Atkha, wilderness course is by far better then the brimhaven agility course (not sure now if you use the level 2 achievement gloves, so i might be wrong here) and the ape atoll course until level 70. Unless those gloves really make a huge difference, go wilderness all the way to 70 as there is not really any other viable alternatives. I tried all the other courses myself when getting those levels and the wild was hands down the best (of course before the achievement gloves so bear that in mind)

If you are just able to use granite and have the extra cash to spend most certainly get granite it is indeed a better replacement then rune platebody. Though if you are higher a level with more defense then the benefits are neglible and it's really more for status symbol and for looks. Most armor is only neglibly better then the previous, save for barrows where you can really notice a difference in battle. It's all really dependent on your defense level though as a defense level 40 in full rune will notice more benefits then a defense level 70 in full rune compared to dragon. Personally if i had the extra cash which isn't too hard, I would choose granite body over rune anyday.

If you are using a mithril bar then you need a maple log. If you are using iron I would think you need to use an oak log, since the log corresponds to the type of metal you are using. As far as fishing is concerned, you can either use bait or feathers with the heavy fishing rod, both work.

Best I could think of is killing chickens until you have 1000 feathers which shouldnt take too long and then advertising in the marketplace here that you are selling 1k feathers 10gp ea for 10k... and get lucky that someone buys them :|

No there is no need to talk to him in order to get the drop. It's been confirmed multiple times and I guess it's only a rumor perpetuated because the visage drop is such a rare one. Rest assured, anything you have killed prior to talking to him you would have had the same chance of getting the drop, unless Jagex is hiding something from us :-k I still rub my chin because I have killed in excess of 2k combined steels and irons and 60+ king blacks and as of today a few mithrils and yet to get one. But no as far as what I've read from reliable sources you do not need to speak to him first.

If I have to vote at your level, my vote isn't on your list. I would just goto Moss Giants and reap in great experience and great drops at the same time. Sure you could goto rock crabs or experiments but it's going to be a shallow experience unless this isn't your first character in Runescape. Same thing with Pest Control, you might be able to level at a decent rate with those stats (nothing spectacular though in experience per hour at that level) but again it's going to be a shallow experience. I would suggest honestly though, getting Slayer assignments and leveling your combat that way. You will get a much greater reward then just the fastest possible experience (which would probably be either moss giants or experiments at your level), which is a greater feel for the world. Whatever method you choose though as long as you enjoy it, then it's not the "wrong method". So add another vote for slayer, and good luck whatever way you go. Edit: and +1 to above post, you will be having to run back to the bank for food to often for bandits to be really useful)

Hey wow you took some good time getting all this info, I was certain someone would :P As others have stated though, you might want to put this as a disclaimer that the max hit is not ALWAYS the max you can get hit for ... for example Bronze Dragons look easy at a max hit of 12 but go in without an anti fire shield you are going to be getting hit a lot harder then 12. Other then explaining that there are other circumstances surrounding the true max hit, excellent work.

Mithril dragons DO drop it it's specifically stated in the knowledge base. As far as the brutal greens dropping it that's up in the air, as nothing is said as far as I can see there about it and I haven't heard anyone saying that a visage drops from the brutal blues, but you would think it would since they are that much more intelligent... [edited after some thought] but just because they are smarter I wouldn't assume they drop it, and it's not been proven to my knowledge that they do yet and it's not reliable, and not trying to imply that they do, as this thread is for reliable drops ...

Each page adds a bit of lore I guess to your notebook. The one page I've gotten talks about toad crunchies... I really have no idea what happens when you get all the pages though that's a good question.

I managed killing 43 of the green brutal dragons up to this point off and on (counting green dragonhides) and what's on my list is the only thing I could come up with, and the rest thanks to the other's helping out. I am thinking that they don't drop a draconic visage because the knowledge base states that the mithril dragons ARE known to drop them since they are among the oldest of species, but mentions nothing regarding the brutal green dragons. They give me more trouble then a steel dragon to kill so I am really hoping they have comparable or better drops then a steel, but who knows. I'm going to go slaying again this evening. The blood drops more then make up for the cost of the potions and the dragonhides would as well, but I think I'm going to craft them and high alch the bodies. Ginger, is the list here all we have for the brutal green dragons?

The new lunar magic spell humidify (obtained after completing the Dream Mentor quest) is perfect for power mining granite at the desert quarry. Bring the required runes to cast, and fill the rest of your inventory up with waterskins, leaving the two bottom rows empty for the granite you are mining. Why the two bottom rows? It's faster to drop items from those rows because if you click the item near the bottom (second row from bottom) or near the top (last row) the mouse will already be hovering over the drop option. Did you calculate your averages there before or after the hidden update? If it was before the update, then your average exp/hour figures would still be the same. If you calculated the average exp/hour after the hidden update, this will net you a considerably larger gain since there is no need to take longer then a few seconds to refill all of your waterskins. The only thing I would like to see added into the guide that I haven't seen anybody else do yet is to determine these statistics with other forms of cooking, such as cooking cakes, wine (an efficient way of obtaining grapes if there actually exists a way, and I don't consider the RFD chest efficient with it's small stock), etc. Awesome guide though. Very concise and to the point. Anybody with an appreciation for the technical will have a field day reading though this.

Yeah it's a catch 22, there isn't really anything you can do except create a new account. They don't give you the room to explain and tell you you can't message them again or you will be punished more. I really meant that if you find the means to create a new account I could help you out in regaining anything you had on the muted account (with the pm in game comment). What is unfair? It's unfair that players of all ages are dumped into the same worlds without any other options. I am an older player and had to suffer one day while training range, listening to this chick talk about her first sexual experience the week before and menstrual crap (not going to elaborate). What should you do... good question. I think that you have done one of the best things you could have done. You have gotten the word out to countless numbers of players who read through these forums that no matter how innocent the intentions, Jagex takes a very firm stance on advertising websites because of the hidden dangers that might lurk within. Assuming everything you said is 100% true, I don't agree with you getting permanently muted. You made a legitimate appeal with a completely reasonable explanation. If this was in a court of law sure you still might get punished for technically breaking a law, but you would never get jail time. But there are just too many players getting reported and making reports daily for them to hold "hearings" for every report. To answer your question though like you would probably want, you say you have a cell phone and that your parents probably would be against the idea of you creating a new membership account. If you pay the bills on your cell phone, you can always use the pay by phone option to create a new account. What you do with the items on your old account is up to you, you sound intelligent enough to figure out something to do with them. I'll stop rambling, and it's a damn shame to hear you got muted and denied an appeal for this. If you need any help feel free to message me in game (st tyrael).

Exactly! I have only done at the most around 40 or so barrows runs, and before Sundays run the best I have ever gotten was Ahrims hood (on my first run ever non the less). For those runs I was only getting around 12 for a kill count and not the 25-30 I was last Sunday. I always hear people discussing the rates on the barrows items or the runes/racks but I have never heard anything regarding dragon mediums. And I have NEVER in my life ever even gotten a dragon medium drop even off a fire giant after god knows how many kills. I would like to believe there is a correlation between getting good drops last Sunday and the change in my kill counts, but as you said its too small a sample and it's aggravating me trying to even think about it.

My ring of wealth doesn't work? It's simply because they forgot to take their ring to Isafdar to the poison waste to get it enchanted by throwing it into the swamp and then fishing it out again with a large fishing net... god I thought everybody knew that :wink:

I read that one too. This one was nested somewhere in the zybez forums (hence "shopping") and I haven't heard anyone getting screwed over by this so it must be fixed or just a fairy tale.
