Unfortunately, yes. The problem with F2P, is that I think that in the past, players were rude and snobby to the beginning players, and maybe some of the players learned some techs. Not to mention that part of RS is a free game that requires JAVA and the internet, so anybody can make an account and log on. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any way around the community, but its not as bad as WoW for the most part.

I always try to be nice to low-level players. However, a lot of us find it hard maybe because of the fear that they'd bug us with annoying stuff. I wouldn't say I'm "racist", but its hard doing stuff with a low level player because you are more advanced than they are. I gotta be honest, I find it hard going in a low-level area due to some of the low-level players themselves (the annoying ones that try to bug you).

You are so right. But why would people rush for a glory ammy? A lot of people sell those in seers bank.

I think they should do articles about player and forum mods. There's a lot of mis-information about us, and so maybe someone could write an article about what mods really are in RS. Not that all of you are "0mg! m00d! phr33 st0ff p0x!!11!1!111shiftinsanity!!1!!!!1111".

Eh, some "cuss" words (damn, crap, sucks, etc) are not block-worthy. Maybe Jagex is trying to avoid some pointless lawsuits, who knows.

In many respects, these are "holiday" items. Runescape is not club penguin, but it needs to have some fun with some interesting stuff. I don't think Jagex is getting younger exactly because what you pointed out were holiday events and I'm not gonna repeat myself of course. Anyway, today's Halloween event was not "kiddie"-like exactly due to some gruesome items (skull, eye, etc).

I know... I'm a learning German speaker, so I probably wouldn't be too fluent. However, its funny how you got kids telling you to speak English on a German server... I'd say give it time, you'll encounter a German speaker sooner or later.

Those are just immature people. And using the wildy isn't as strong because pking areas involve competition and you'll encounter more bozos there. Best thing to do is just ignore them or use some sort of wit.

I liked PC, I haven't tried new PC though. I think anyone ranting either is a lazy bum, someone who seriously doesn't like new PC, and people that don't get it.

I'm not criticizing Halo MP, I like Halo; its just occasionally you'll meet some snothead. Now, I may not have pointed this out, but when I first started playing Runescape, rarely anyone bugged me in the RSC days. Now you will have people that bug you, but I seem to have seen a decrease of idiots a year after I quit in August 2005. Its like this; a game has a lot of hype, but soon the immature players will all leave and start playing another cool l33t game. The same with Halo; I stopped playing in July 2006, year later, aren't as many idiots as there used to be. I think it has to do with new games coming out and how eventually a lot of people are going to get addicted to some new 1337 world.

No prob about the censor. I'm starting to agree with you. But I also think the rule-breakers are in the high minority while immature people probably in between minority and majority. I am starting to think there will be an explosion of these people as time goes on. Partially because you can do almost anything on RS In Halo, all you do is kill stuff. Eventually you'll get tired of the same thing all day. But in Runescape, there are a ton of updates and a big world with everybody there.

Hi! My next debate is on the community itself. We mostly see some people claiming it is "all bad", but if you explore around as a new character, you'll quickly see it isn't that bad. I made a pure (name is a secret :-$) and so far, I never got any "noob" comments. Why is that? My character wasn't being in a very annoying fashion. Maybe some people annoy others, hence comes a lot of "get lost noob" stuff. I'm not for these people as what they are doing is immoral, but you need to see that half of the time, the people will bother others. Yes, you get some foolish people, but even a foolish person can be the nicest person you ever met; minus the rich snotty lvl 92. Now, some people actually gave me feathers for free many times, and this is F2P we are all talking about. Unfortunately there is a fair amount of people you want to avoid on P2p at times. Some people are in it for annoying rich people and little old mods like me; and usually these are from high-lvls. I can conclude that the community needs work, but is not as chaotic as Halo MP. On Halo MP, you'll get a lot of this when playing. I censored the curse words for a very good reason.: kid - FFFFFFFFFFF*********************CCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK [kid2 gets killed by a guy] kid2: die n*gger! Eat ma muthaf***in' sh*t! Its because it has to do with fighting and so the most "0mg! fu n00b p0wned" comments are in the more aggressive areas. Like all combat places, there's more competiton and this explains the noobs there. If you look at Halo MP and Runescape, you'd realize Runescape has a far better community than Halo MP (though, Halo MP has tamed down the kids). In Runescape, its common to see this: "noob" "0mg! die noob" "ancient noob!" and so on. In Halo MP (a bit uncommon), you may get these. Censored for a reason: "FFFFFFFFFF************************************KKKKKKKKKKKKK" [kid dies] "Eat sh*t n*gger!" "F*** this!" [logs off] [kid2 was killed by smartguy (with a rocket)] kid2: lol, rocket wh*re.
