Couple of Questions
If your praying the unholy book is good for the shield spot. Also, if you want a sara item I think you're going to have to replace the accumulator with a god cape.

02-February-2009 Behind The Scenes - February
The fact is, we have too many useless minigames. Crap like Vinespweeper, Gnome Restaurant and Ratpits are a complete waste. Well thought out minigames such as Stealing Creation, Castle Wars, Barrows or Barbarian Assault with fun and/or have good rewards awesome. I'm fine with Jagex putting there focus into well thought out minigames. I'm fine with minigames if they offer equipment rewards or if they are meant to be played mostly for fun, but minigames offering overpowered exp rewards or being somehow by far the most efficient way of training a skill change the whole face of the game. Right now I'd need to play stealing creation for hammers to train smithing in the most efficient way (unless I find a way of making huge amounts of gp per hour). Pest control also used to be the best way to train some skills. Now I have the feeling that Slayer is about to be minigame-ized as well. Minigames usually require a lot of your concentration when you play them. This means that my style of playing the game which involves a lot of watching videos and reading books while I play is being killed off by the way better exp from minigames compared to the traditional ways of training. If RS starts requiring 100% of my attention it loses one of the biggest reasons of why I play it instead of WoW or RTS games.

Why Would People Train?
I don't know if you've noticed this, but most skills hava a way of being trained without grinding. I rarely if ever play this game without doing something else at the same time. Right now I'm typing this post and a while ago I was doing chemistry calculations. At the same time I've been fishing monks. The only thing that I need to do is listen to the game sounds to hear if I'm still fishing or not. When I'm mining or training hunter I'm watching videos on a different part of my screen. The only things that really requires a large amount of concentration in this game are questing, fighting high level monsters and minigames and pking where you're working with other people. I haven't even tried most of the minigames and I only do a few quests every now and then if I really like the rewards. If you make this game into a grind then it becomes one, but I wouldn't suggest it if you hate grinding. Had that had 47 characters less, I would have siggied it.

Bandos Vs Dragon
This is the most common responce you'll get. Also, your sig is getting pretty big (again).

Haunted mine
You just need to keep avoiding the machinery (stepping on the mine cart tracks and to a square next to the posessed crane) and make every hit count as he teleports after the hits. Magic or ranged is a good way to go because the long range allows you to avoid the machinery more easily. You won't be able to be too far away though because you can't attack from behind most of the obstacles there. Use fire blast or magic shortbow with addy(/rune) arrows. Magic/Ranged potion and putting the +15% prayer on when you attack is a good idea. Also bring a super def pot and the explorer's ring 3 for run energy recharge. A prayer pot can also be good since you'll be praying ranged for the whole fight. You can still wear the ring of life, just have the explorer's ring in your inventory. Pineapple pizzas are great food for this fight. If you decide to melee I recommend bringing a high hitting weapon with a one hit special in addition to the whip. For example the dragon dagger spec will only hit him once when he teles. You can wear better armour when you aren't attacking him. I don't think it would be a good idea though. Even having a granite plate would weight you down and you would need to have super energies instead of food.

Nerves
One thing that I don't see mentioned here that has helped me personally is mental image training. There is really no reason to skip it as you can just doh it when your on a bus or in the shower. Put yourself both in the spotlight and the audience roles. Thinking about how you walk in front of the audience and how you then start playing the tune soon realizing how it's not that different from when you were practising reduces the shock factor a little. You've already gone through the whole process in your mind before going on the stage. Go through the worst case scenarios as well, it will teach you how to avoid them and show that they aren't really as bad as they first seem. Sure, your palms might be sweaty and you knees might shake when you first walk in front of the audience, but neither of those two things is going to stop you from performing and the latter will make people see that you're nervous and hope you'll be okay. You might not know this, but a common way to start a lecture on how to teach public speaking is to simulate a worst case scenario start with dropping the lecture notes or simulating technical difficulties. This is done in order to demonstrate the power that these things have for winning the crowd over. It doesn't matter if your name is Demosthenes or Horowitz, not a single person will be going "this better be good" in the crowd after you have a bad start. When you put yourself in the role of a member of the audience you will quickly see that the audience is always on the performer's side. When your classmates play their songs do you hope that they will fail miserably? I'm guessing you don't. What is your reaction to when they play a wrong note? You probably hope that the rest of the performance goes smoothly. Almost everybody feels very nervous before a public performance. Can you tell by the look of the other pupils that they are nervous? Probably not. Everyone of your audience members has very similar thoughts when you're performing as well. Also, when you feel nervous it means that you're ready to give it all you got. It's a natural reaction to a big event with a lot of performance enhancing hormones like adrenaline being released into your blood. It's not a bad thing, it's a good thing. Have you ever wondered how basketball players are able to make the most incredible shots in the closing seconds? They're nervous, that's how. The only way to make a bad thing out of it is to evaluate your performance in the middle of it and think about how your nervousness will hurt your performance. The correct time to evaluate a performance is when it's over and the adrenaline flowing in your veins actually has a performance boosting effect. It was you telling yourself that nervousness will make you perform badly that made you perform badly in the past, not the adrenaline. Just concentrate on the part you're playing at the moment and the result will be similar to the result of Michael Jordan concentrating on the last play of the season.

Skillers
The first link leads to the opening post that doesn't talk anything about skillers. The picture even shows the player merchanting barrows items. The second link leads to a post by somebody who argues that final products should always cost more than the materials that you need to make them. He even takes addy plates as an example and states that skillers are somehow to blame for the fact that you can't make money by making addy plates if you the buy bars. #-o I would think that mains would also make addy plates to train smithing if it was a good way of making money. 1.There's probably less than a thousand mains in all of p2p if that percentage is right. 2.The game doesn't slow down because of the skillers. 3.So now all the pures need to go as well? What have they done wrong? Answers to the questions on the OP in bold: I'm extremely tempted to get P2P now just because of the atrocity that F2p has become.

Temporary lack of penguins
Yes, I guess I was a bit too hopeful of having a way to see if Jagex really does ban everybody they know is a bug abuser or if they are all about short term profit. The person who showed 97M and said he got it from the glitch was probably lying or by far the biggest abuser of this bug. I think the video on the second page might show the spying delay. I watched it late yesterday when I was already quite sleepy, but I think it showed the player using this glitch. For me it says that the video is not available in my country right now.

need help training
Slayer. When you get the requirements for the quest "Smoking Kills" i suggest you do it so that you can start getting slayer points early. It's going to be difficult at your levels so wear a ring of life and read the quest guide for which prayers to use in battles. When you get 130 attack and strenght combined you should go to the Warriors guild and get a rune defender. For armour dragon is best as long as you can't wear barrows, granite is very affrodable and rune is also good. Get a Berserker necklace and use it with obsidian weapons, preferably the obsidian split sword. The obsidian cape and dragon boots are both great pieces of equipment, but a bit expensive. Ring of life and the explorer's ring from Lumby diary are both inexpensive but functional choises for the ring slot.

Temporary lack of penguins
I'm guessing it must have lasted for quite a while if 3M exp was possible to be claimed. This player got to 90 Magic and Strenght that day. (He's still visible on highscores as well as Red_Jude and all the other clear bug abusers, so they haven't been banned.) I guess one could calculate how much gp he could have got if he traded all the points for gp. Well I did a quick rough calculation and I no longer think there are many people who have enough cash for partyhats thanks to bug abuse. Maybe godswords though depending greatly on how long the glitch ran.

aviansies huting guide help please
If you're really too lazy to use the search function, you should at least try the very first page of general guides. viewtopic.php?f=180&t=708158

Temporary lack of penguins
Judging by these: and I get the feeling that that guy just got a free 97M. The GE graphs of godswords (yes, I know there is a rising trend with them already) and the amount of partyhats traded will tell me if I'm right. Even though JaGEx is telling us that they will ban those who abused the bug they might be tempted to let the people who got <500k exp in any single skill go. These people are paying cutstomers and JaGEx has never really mass banned anything but bots paying with stolen credit cards. I'm going to look at the GS prices and the phats traded on GE as indicators on how thouroughly JaGEx goes about finding all penguin point bug abusers invisible to the community, both those who cashed in points for gp and those who didn't rub the bug abuse in everyones face with 1M+ exp in a single skill. I would have rather had a rollback with bans for anybody who got say 1M+ exp clearly through bug abuse. That way all the trades with ill gained gp and any benefits however small would be clearly and completely erased with some of the more blatant bug abusers loosing their accounts for good. There could also have been a small newspost similar to those regarding RWT bans that show some stats of the accounts that were lost, like how long they have been logged in in total. Oh well, I guess I'll do a couple of searches for partyhats on GE and see how well JaGEx did with this one.

Herb xp?
what does decanting at the Herbalist do? dont u make 4 dose potions by using 3 dose potions on other 3 dose potions?? o.O The decanting herbalist at the GE can make 28 three dose potions to 21 four dose potions and 7 empty vials in 1.2 seconds I believe. It's much quicker to choose the decant option on him and bank at the GE than to use the potions yourself.

Cheap Shards
The Runescape Wiki has the GE price and Bogrog shard swap values pretty close to each other: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Summoning_pouches I don't think they update the GE prices that often, but I'm sure it will give you an idea on what pouches could work.

Fashion & Men
I spend about 10% of what I have left after taxes on clothes. That's a bit less than a quarter of the money I have left after the staple basic expenses like rent, food, transportation and the internet. I think it's also worth pointing out that in Finland we have to have separate jackets and shoes and extra clothes for winter. As for the exact expenses my t-shirts usually cost about 25 and I have three pairs of jeans all of which costed 120-150. I make a little over 20 per hour at my regular job so I guess the clothes don't seem that expensive to me. Also, I don't think any other brands that I mentioned except for Armani Collezioni can be considered "top of clothing", more like good quality and designs with some thought put into them for a somewhat high price. The average AC clothes cost about five times as much as the stuff I buy more regularly, but I make 3000+ per month on vacations and I like to reward myself for the hard work with a nice cardigan or a couple of really good looking t-shirts every now and then. I think I was a bit irritable at the time when I responded to your post, I had just trained hunter for two hours. -.- Sorry if I came off a bit angry. Don't worry about not noticing that I'm Finnish, it's pretty nice when people don't immediately realize from my posts that I'm from a non English speaking country. :

Fashion & Men
The entire post read like a sterotypical 'rich kid' from the movies/tv dress (reminded me a lot of Cruel Intentions actually), so I'll have to agree. Wow, I'm really surprised. It's true that I haven't bought any Armani Collezioni clothes lately as I'm saving up to buy a car, but that's really what I wear. Well, I suppose I'm well off for someone my age, but it's not like I'm leeching off of my parents or something. I just have an outside work that requires physical endurance during the night (early morning postal service 2am to 6am, no elevators and plenty of newspapers to deliver all the way to the doors) and the pay is what you would expect from doing that sort of work. My transport/eating expences are very low because I have my student benefits from studying at the university. I also get a second job for summer and christmas vacations from the uni. I have average taxes because of my average wages and I don't often go drinking. I suppose I spend a lot the extra money after rent, food, electricity and phone bills on clothing. You have to keep in mind that Finns have a high average income and it's even higher in Helsinki. Is it really that bad? I'm actually from a working class background (mom:cleaner, dad:car mechanic, that's about as working class as you can get) so it's very weird to see people telling me that I dress like a "rich kid". I probably make more money than the average university student, but it's definitely not a look that I'm going for. Hmm... I guess I should reevaluate my clothing budget and choises if I'm giving out the wrong messages with them :-k . But then again, Armani is nice. Meh, kinda zero content post I know, but I don't like to be branded as a rich snob/upper class citizen and I felt that darkrick was trying to do so. I work for a living and I have a sweaty t-shirt to show for it every morning. Edit: For those who don't know, Armani Jeans is actually a brand that is a bit cheaper than the Armani Exchange that is sold in the US. And I don't buy tailored suits lol, kranked1.

How to own bork's behind?
Yes, you don't wear Morrigan's gear to pvm. Karils, black dhide, anything with good defence bonus is good enough at your levels. The mage hits you less than every two seconds, so you have plenty of time to eat. Just remember to pot up before the battle and have 4+ prayer pots and good food. Your prayer turns off when you enter so remember to put it back on. It's an easy fight. I have lower combat levels than you and I do it routinely with black dhide, whip and prayer boosting gear.

Fashion & Men
I fail to see how it's gay to wear nice clothes. I mostly wear Armani Jeans/Collezioni, Gant, Pierre Cardin and Peak Performance for school and hanging out with friends and Adidas/Nike/Puma/And1 for sports and under work clothes. Lately I've almost stopped buying any other brands except for Armani. (I don't know if any of these ring a bell for you, I have no clue about half of the brands and none about the stores you mentioned. I shop at Stockmann and Stadium :D )(btw am I getting my prepositions right?) I like clothes that combine good quality with not making me look like I'm showing off. I could never buy something like Louis Vuitton monogram canvas items or expensive clothes with obvious brandings. It's also important that the clothes I buy won't become unwearable because they "go out of fashion". A good design doesn't have to be timeless, but I don't want to look like my dad when he puts on his early 90's jogging outfit. Stylewise I just go with a black and white/brown cardigan, a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. If I'm trying to look a bit nicer I'll go for a black and white look with black denim jeans. No hats, just freaking gigantic noise cancelling headphones. Edit: jaerkd00d: Thích Qu?ng ??c photo is win. I think tif is the only forum where it's not my avatar.

What is fastest xp for runcrafting lvl 47 to 70?
Yes, after you have unlocked the abyss through the miniquest all abyssal monsters will sometimes drop pouches appropriate to your runecrafting level. Just kill the leeches. The small pouch can be retrieved from the zamorak wizard that originally gave it as a reward from the miniquest. Have you checked your bank in case you've forgotten that you already have the medium pouch?

What Should I High alch?
There are no items that are good for high alching for profit unless you manage to buy something like rune picks in mass at min price or craft your own nats. (And even then you're really making profit by making nats and losing when you alch.) If there were, nobody would tell you about it because the price would rise. You can check for popular alching items here: http://www.scape-xp.com/runescape-high-alchemy.html You can also search GE database for items that people usually sell cheap when they get to a level when they can use a better item, for example red d'hide vambs and splitbark boots.

Finally: Runescape Classic coming to Rs2
I like the idea of paying homage to rsc as the 5 years anniversary of rs2 draws closer. I don't like the idea of a cape, though. A lot of the players who have played this game for a long enough time to get this cape are going to have both more useful and more impressive items for their cape slot. (Seriously, a cooking cape is more impressive than a "I registerred long ago" -cape.) Something like an emote at least wouldn't just rot in the bank. My idea for a rsc emote would be one in which the character changed to a rsc character in 2-3 seconds starting from the toes. After the head had changed there would be a 1-2 second pause and then a pink partyhat would appear on the head and confetti would shoot from the sky. (I really don't understand the idea of a black partyhat.) That way the need to import a lot of animations wouldn't be there. I guess the character could do something else than just stand there. It could grow a beard during the pause before the partyhat and do the old dance emote at the confetti part, but that would again require more models and an animation. I came up with the emote as I went along, but the point is that a cape that no one uses is  .

20-Jan-2009 Seers Achievement Diary
Quite interesting minor updates too. You used to be able to just cut 27 pineapples to slices and pick them up from the ground by tapping 5 with mousekeys. (This was a bug? Phew, I got lucky not getting another surprice ban there.) Now it will be much slower to cut pineapples into slices as you will need to bank more. I also wonder how long the hunter brawler gloves last. Two questions on the diary rewards: What are the new stats for the Excalibur? Can the flax person be contacted with the NPC contact spell?

- Best item to alch?
Search for items that people sell cheap when they reach a level for a better item. Nobody is going to tell you what is the best thing to alch right now. If they do, that item is no longer the best thing to alch. I can tell you that about a week ago it was red d'hide vambs and splitbark gauntlets that were great. Splitbark gauntlets are still at 2808 mid price on GE when they alch for 3k, so they are still pretty good if they buy. - Best item to alch?
