Yes, you will just get more screenie-worthy results. I recommend putting 10 on raw fish and 5 on flax, I only put the workers on coal because Seer's diary had just been released when I was about to go f2p and I didn't know what would happen with flax prices.
  2. Yeah, I was blackjacking today and this guy came, opened the curtain, waited a few minutes so that Ali the Dyer walked in and then proceeded to hit the bandit I was blackjacking to make it follow him outside the house. He took over five minutes of his time just to waste a minute or so of mine. I think there is definitely a small minority that is rotten to the core. However, the majority of scapers aren't too bad, it's just that the [cabbage]holes are easier to remember.
  3. It's starting to look like Finland won't be playing in South Africa. Russia beat us 3-0. After the match Hyypiä announced that he won't play for the national team in the next qualifications so that was probably his last home game playing for Finland. I guess I'm rooting for Brazil again -.-
  4. You will get banned in a matter of hours if not less. GhostMouse will do the same exact moves every time which is easily detected by Jagex. Everybody would be botting to 99 fletch by making bolts/arrows if GhostMouse was allowed. So you're saying that using Firefox is an offence?
  5. It's a guide to powermining at the quarry and it explains powermining at the quarry quite well. 2/10 is something that you would give to a nearly unreadable guide that shows some effort. This guide has pictures for clarity and it's easy to read, the layout works. Sure, it only covers a small amount of things and the method is quite well known, but those are really the only things separating it from a great guide. You should add some info on this guide, for example an exp/hour rate, the use of humidify to fill waterskins and the water tiara. Other than that I think the only way to expand this would be to cover other training methods for mining.
  6. You can remap your keyboard so that keys corresponding to F4 and F7 are next to each other. Totalpwnage wrote a miniguide on how to do it on Wakka's mousekeys guide thread.
  7. That GM bacteria would essentially have to outdo 2.8 billion years of syanobacteria evolution. Also, there is something like a bit under a teratonne of carbon in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere so you would be making a lot of organic material. This was a great find for me as well. Thanks. Also, the webcomic isn't too bad.
  8. Bracelets are equipment for the glove spot. Regen bracelet is one of the best items for the glove spot unless you have gotten far on Recipe for Disaster. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=6908
  9. If you're looking for internet forums, then all you need to do is google. Searches like "science forum", "politics forum" and others will always get you to a popular forum. There is a forum for everything on the internet. I think Richard Dawkins's site also has a big forum with a lot of bioscience discussions.
  10. Poor: These people don't have money to buy good equipment nor do they use MTK/herb farming or have high skills to make money. <500k Working class: As the name suggests, working class players are always working to make money for their next expence, be it a barrows set or money for MTK. 500k-5M Middle class: These people have a cash pile that will allow them to do most activities in the game, but a single big item purchase will send them right back to the poorhouse. 5M-40M Upper class: People who can buy 99s, several cheap rares or godswords without going broke. 40M-150M Rich: People who can buy several expensive 99s or pretty much any item they want. 150M-1B OMGWTFBBQ :twss: rich: The special class for the people who will get a 10/10 rating from everybody if they post a picture of their beloved gp mountain on the Rate This! subforum. The only purpose this much cash on your account serves is to make sure that you get to end every money pile discussion with "Mine is bigger than yours". >1B
  11. [hide=quotes] Usually people won't keep yelling at you if you talk to them in a calm manner and keep telling them that there is nothing to be upset about. They are looking for a strong defence response and not giving them one is an excellent way of making them stop. You can also leave the house for a short while to give your parents some time to cool off. I've tried that, I never raise my tone at my mum because the moment I do she starts yelling (which at night wakes up dad) and I try to get out of the house often to let things cool down, which doesn't seem to work well. :? [/hide] Well, I can't really come up with that much more good advice (since I'm a horrible person and would probably just try to manipulate my mother in your situation). Just try not to let the yelling get to you. For all you know, the yelling about small things could just be a case of letting some steam out. [hide=quotes] Are you sure that there is no conceivable circumstances in which your parents would listen to you, or are you just picking the wrong moments and the wrong ways to reason with them? You need to reason with them in a relaxed atmosphere in a calm way, not when you are at each other's throats. Just pick a moment like when your parents are reading the paper or watch TV and say something along the lines of " We need to talk. I know you have been upset because I've been staying up so late and I would like to explain myself. You see, I feel very relaxed late in the evening and I enjoy that feeling. I understand that you fear that it might make me tired, but I'm confident that I can listen to my body and adjust the time I go to sleep accordingly. Would it be possible for you to allow me to have my relaxing late evenings if I promise it won't cause any disturbances? It would mean a lot to me and it wouldn't require any action on your part." Talking to your parents about your feelings and needs in a calm adult-to-adult fashion goes a surprisingly long way. They won't let you do everything, but having these types of conversations does help them realize that you are becoming an adult and should be treated as such. If it has got to a point where you don't want to have anything to do with them once you move out, then you should make them realize the severity of the problem. You can for example contact your grandparents or some other family members that you know your parents will listen to if you are having trouble getting through to them. Tell them how you feel about your parents and ask that they will talk about the problem with your parents. They just won't listen, I have tried something similar to that, but all mum does is argue till she is right,or until it becomes a because-I-said-so arguement, dad just says that when he was my age he would never dream of doing such a thing, and then he also goes to the because-I-said-so arguement. Also they know it's a big problem, letting relatives know just means my parents will be told what they already know, my mum knows I would move out given the opportunity. [/hide] It's awful if your parents know that you're not happy at home and aren't doing anything about it. You get one cyberhug from me. If you want to, you could look into different ways of getting a place of your own at a young age. Of course you can't move out just yet, but having a plan of how to get out of your predicament could help you endure it. If you're looking to study programming at a computer science department of a university then you could probably get a student home from somewhere and get subsidies to pay for the basic stuff you need. You could also get a part time job and rent a small place if you are confident that you keep up with your studies at the same time. I personally have a job in the early morning postal delivery and study at the university. I don't live in a student home, but I can still afford my rent because the job is physically demanding and therefore pays well. The only real downside is the small amount of free time.
  12. Just put that together with the health benefits of relaxing and...umm... well, it's still going to give you lung cancer. Just because you smoke doesn't mean you're gonna get lung cancer, there is just the possibility. I mean I don't have lung cancer... I don't smoke either but I still don't have lung cancer. Yes, I smoked two cigarettes once and I don't have lung cancer either. I realize that smoking doesn't lead to lung cancer the same way as dropping an object leads to it being pulled towards the earth by gravitation. However, smoking will raise your chances of getting lung cancer very significantly. I used lung cancer as an example of how the health hazards of shisha smoking far outweight the possible health benefits. You won't think about how relaxed you get if you indeed do get lung cancer.
  13. The best case you can make is pointing out that it's not as bad for you as smoking cigarettes. http://www.shisha-smoker.com/Home.htm http://www.shishapipe.net/ Just put that together with the health benefits of relaxing and...umm... well, it's still going to give you lung cancer.
  14. You can make money on RS quite easily without much work at all nowadays. For example Manage Thy Kindom after the quest Royal Trouble, buying battlestaffs from Zaff in Varrock after the completion of the Varrock Achievment diary and using the farming skill to farm herbs can be combined to a 15 minute daily routine that earns you a couple of thousands of gp. The Great Orb Project minigame at the mage tower south of Draynor village is a very low focus money making method for anybody with 50+ runecrafting. Also, the game logs you off automatically after over five minutes of inactivity and all of the fighting randoms have been removed, so skills like fishing and woodcutting can be trained easily for a small income. Magic is mostly trained by stringing amulets or bursting rock lobsters. High alchemy is also used by some people. All of these methods cost money. If you want to train ranged I recommend the Aviansies at the GWD and for magic I recommend bursting rock lobsters because of the charms you get for training summoning. Using red chinchompas is a very quick way to train ranged, but it requires a lot of money. Here is a guide for the rock lobsters: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=754040 Aviansies: viewtopic.php?f=180&t=708158

I personally would have unplugged my xbox and given it to my dad along with a hammer and told him to show me what kind of a dad I have. (Okay, actually I would have just let it go because people sometimes say things they don't really mean, but it would be cool in a dramatic sort of a way.)
  16. Choose. The spear was merchanted not so long ago and it usually costs less than the helm. It's just slow at getting back to its real price.
  17. I'm not going to give out my item, but you can check items like rune med/square, blue/red d'hide, splitbark and other items that people often sell cheaply either because they reach levels or because they are clearing their bank from drops. Also, any item that is close to its price floor and still going down can usually be bought easily at price floor+2gp.
  18. JaGEx makes the game and the rules. They can make talking about pudding a bannable offence if they want. Heck, they can dish out an IP ban to anybody for any reason with no evidence needed if they want. The only rules that they have to abide by are the UK/International laws that apply for an internet game provider.

    JAFFA CAKES

you are wrong. They are half price at mi supermarket so i have a couple of boxes next to me and they don't mention apricot. it says on the box ...,Concentrated orange juice (8% orange juice equivalent),... the orangey bit is made from Apricot pulp, sugar and a squirt of tangerine oil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaffa_Cakes#Specifications : "According to the list of ingredients on a 2008 label, Jaffa Cakes in fact contain no apricot or tangerine, and are made with orange juice, an assertion protected by UK food labelling laws." It could be different in different countries. Here in Finland it (it's officially a cookie here) contains orange flavoured marmalade. It's manufactured by an LU brand and not McVitie's though.

    My rant

Do you have some different level of schooling still in between college/university/other higher education and where you are now? I remember being in this same situation in lower secondary school (school for 13-16 year olds), but everything changed when I got accepted to one of the highest ranked upper secondary schools (school for 16-19 year olds) in Finland. Almost everybody was very motivated to study there. Just keep your own grades up if there is something like this where you live. Also, once you get to university you get to do almost everything by yourself at the start of your studies at most departments (I'm so alone *cries), so either way you can solve the problem by keeping your grades up.
  22. If you are not at melee range the queen will drain your prayer. The best strategy is to be potted up before the fight and then quickly click it to melee and pray magic(?) for the whole fight. (Tip.it says to pray melee, other sites magic and I can't remeber what the fight was like. I guess you can try praying melee and if it hits you then pray magic since the magic attack does more damage.) You can use magic on the sea trolls if you like. Yes, 66 magic, 62 Cooking, 62 Fishing, 45 Smithing, 42 Firemaking and 40 Crafting and a bunch of quests (although skills can be boosted).
  23. You could still trade junk from your main for cash from your slave. If JaGEx did allow multilogging, it would probably be because nowadays technology makes it easy for some people to log on two accounts from the same location without JaGEx having any chance of catching them. IMO they should remove the multiple logging in rule, but also make sure that people can't do big junk to cash trades between their accounts. That would mean either a solid flagging system for such trades or adjusting item prices so that there are no junk items and lowering prices manually when price manipulators try to create junk value in case the price manipulators trade the overpriced items to their slave accounts (which some already do). Edit: Lol they changed website advertising to advertising another website. I can finally say "Go to www.runescape.com for a great game" without getting banned.
  24. Why would that be a bad thing? Having your hands relaxed at your sides is a good way to give a speech if you're extremely nervous, but you're never going to get a good grade if you don't use proper body language in your speech. I would recommend against using hand gestures that you haven't planned, but that shouldn't really be a problem with a short speech like this. The fact that you're using hand gestures isn't a problem, the fact that you aren't planning your use of hand gestures is. (WTF are they teaching you anyway?) I'm guessing your textbooks probably have a decent amount of information on public speaking, but here's a good quick read on hand gestures just in case: http://www.speaking-tips.com/Articles/H ... tures.aspx What sort of a school did you got to? All great speakers from Hitler to Bill Clinton use functional, well planned body language, including hand gestures in their speeches and nobody will be considered a good public speaker nowadays without proper body language. When I had a public speaking course in school we were encouraged to always incorporate new body language in our speeches in order to find new ways of expressing ourselves and feeling comfortable doing so.
