First of all, the article is written very poorly for a Boston Globe columnist. That aside, there was absolutely no proof against the girls, only hearsay. The columnist continues to tell of what the girls did without, again, any proof. The columnist also forgets to mention more about the relationship between the girl and the senior boy. It is likely the two had relations what would spark the name-calling, for which it is arguable that she deserved to be bullied. Really, if she slept with one of the "Mean Girl's" ex-boyfriends or crushes, it's no surprise at all that they harassed her. It's bad and all that the girl hung her self, but I just hate one-sided news stories.
