Anyone who brags about playing for a long time is silly, it's clearly better to have all that knowledge, experience, openness, personality, levels and to belong to part of a community and have a good reputation in a small amount of time - I started RuneScape yesterday! :thumbsup: (fully aware of my lack of most of these things :oops: )

"congratulations you've just reached level 99 combat - you now know how to use report abuse" Absolutely, not matey, Pmods need neither time nor combat level - though this may indicate experience, It is not always set in stone, for all you know he may have been an avid, respected player of another MMO - maybe even a moderator. How would you know if JaGeX pick from random anyway? Do you work there, do you select Pmods? ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ranting here, while it gets the problem off your chest, it only does half of what you need to do with this problem - maybe it's time to drop a bit more of the prejudice, maybe we should all get to know Pmods better, find out why they are the way they are, why they are such [kartoffel]. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of Pmods around on this forum, why not PM them; have a little interview. This is the other half of the solution. In the other hand, I dislike WBMs as well, they'll report for a lot of things, depending on how "enthusiastic" they are, there's more than one type. Those that think about what's happening, people with a lesser understanding of the rules, but do the duty, and conniving WBMs, those that log on for reporting - even fish for an abuse to report. Be careful out there is all I can say. Though, hopefully, anyone that has learnt from a black mark can tell you that. Anyway, I was a little tired of training so I decided I'd go and play a little bit of Fist of Guthix - but before I went I'd need to get some equipment from the Grand Exchange and that's where it happened... A spammer was spamming as they normally do. Someone trapped me in a room with a chicken once, I lost about 150k+ worth in items - a lot of money for me at the time. I tried running back to find the guy and by then he left. Eventually I got back on track and levelled up rediculously : It was a dishonest, low and absolutely mean way of making money - just as bad as scamming IMO.

there will be no doubt a lot of changes when pvp worlds are released, but RuneScape might not ever be the same - not that this is a bad thing. The economy is now controlled by the Grand Exchange, not the players, I bet that the economy will never be the same in that respect. Sure, potions and food will be on high demand again and skillers will be rolling in Coins and Partyhats (if they're still not frozen). I have a feeling free worlds will remain empty unless some of them become Pk-ing servers, the reason people left was because they couldn't PK. Though I do expect to see changes, I don't expect RuneScape to be like it used to, there's too many restrictions on it for it to be the way it was. Nevertheless, this is one update I can't wait for! :thumbsup:

This question nibbles at my sanity, I can't imagine what it would be like for a P-mod, let alone a J-mod. I see the question every time I see a mod speak in public chat, even before these updates were announced. If they asked me that often, I'd probably be mentally unfit to play Rune Scape within a few weeks! It's just one of those things that get to me for some reason...

Why are people offended by the term nerd? Nerds are cool :thumbsup: . If anyone calls me a nerd I just say something along the lines of "why, thank you! :)" and be on my way.

quite a few of my friends like the game, others are quite tolerable of me and my other friends discussing it a lot of the time. Some play FunOrb instead so we can still all relate. :
