  1. These ideas are ALL genius, I want to more *drools* One question, Are you making this up as you go (as in finding something, brainstorming, fleshing out, designing as you go) or have you planned them all out thoroughly BEFORE you posted the first idea (same as the latter, but all before the initial posting of the topic)?
  2. My pet peeve when it comes to a player's behaviour is when they say something like: "People that are 16 years or older and play runescape are nooby" or "People who play runescape are 21 or older need to get out of the basement" [generalistation]Are they forgetting they had to mention their age when they signed up? Do they remember they had to lie to get to play (or to get out of quickchat)? [/generalisations] One day these people are gonna get a big, firm lecture from me and I won't be held responsible for boring these whipper-snappers! I reserve the right to use humour to help me cope!
  3. Thanks for the advice. I'll get around to changing abbreviations. I figured the extra info would be only useful for jewelery, such as how many charges a ring of forging had, or perhaps weapons/armour with inherent abilities, such as An examine isn't hard to come by though, so if anything I might omit the extra information.
  4. Say you'd like to know the individual stat boosts from an item but don't want to take off all of your armour and weapons and then have to open the equip item interface. If we can look up our exp by hovering over it, why not the individual stats of an equipped item? Here's a picture to show how it could work: Now, as you can see, we have the name of the item, so you know what you are checking and the stat boosts. It's a pretty simple idea, the advantages few, but it would be much nicer to see a few more conveniences here and there. It would allow us to know how much better a square shield is over a kite shield, or perhaps how many charges an item has left. The whole point of the idea is to save time and make it easier to know just what benefit we get from wearing an item. Supporters 1. armourdilo - me! 2. zaaps1 3. jenove 4. boydeath 5. daniels911 6. resonae 7. romy 8. balazeal Criticism accepted, I'd really like to develop this idea further, thanks in advance for your input.
  5. 900! we're getting close (I talk like I've posted here many times... What lies!)
  6. That idea is pure genius, though I still think 10 people isn't enough, maybe double, just to be safe? I support :D ... Hey, Unjustblood, where's the supporters list? You're going to need one!
  7. This system is flawed. All it takes is 10-11 people that want the chat to themselves to keep it. Coupled with the fact that when people are kicked from chats they can't re-enter for a certain time, we'd have few people dominating the chats, and I wouldn't put it past the general Runescape public to do such a thing. Furthermore the report for offensive language may get an innocent in trouble, the temp. ban from the chat is enough. Maybe it's better use the traditional 51% system There's just one more thing I don't get, how would the vote to kick system work? Would there be a window? Or would it be located somewhere in the chat window?
  8. I remember reading somewhere that they were doing away with behind the scenes and replacing them with more development diaries. http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=1648 See paragraph 4
  9. "This is fun" - mean's I'd have to keep my avatar the way it is though... "Yay!" - see above "chicken feather" - just to confuse people. "the cattle launcher" Just to name a few. (100st post woo!)
  10. I wonder if he wears the Santa Suit for kicks these days...
  11. Only one thing to do. BRAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!1111 Then once there are a few braindead zombies, just chill. Talk about all that is important Brains, Thriller and super cool shambling styles. And we'd listen to Zombie, by the Cranberries. The zombie life could be quite interesting. Aside from the whole rotting body thing.

I'd suggest making the speech/performance as interesting and enjoyable for the audience as possible. Once you've designed something, test it out on family and friends to see if they liked it, sincerely. If they did then chances are you can do it for them. That means use visual aids, do something different that will make them go, "Oh, wow, did he/she just do that? Cool!". Finally, when you have it down, think about how much they will like it, not how much they will hate you. Finally, as almost everyone else says, just don't think about it. Do it. You can't go wrong!
  13. Most teachers I have are actually rather good. Though I did have this cooking teacher once... She seemed a bit sexist and she was one of the few teachers that I didn't quite get along with. Probably because I could burn down the entire school scooping out some ice-cream. Aside from that, singular teachers don't annoy me, probably because I'm really good at getting along with them, it's moreso a particular quality I've found only in Primary School teachers. They always demand "respect" or say "how rude" or tell us we're "role-models". I guess it's the cliche factor, or perhaps they forgot that respect is something earned, not demanded. No student is going to like a teacher just because they say "like me or suffer the consequences". Anyway, I guess it's a whole age thing. Perhaps it is because when a student is young they don't really have many morals or understandings, so a teacher could act that way and no student would think twice about how foolish it is.
  14. What was the question? I couldn't be bothered checking it. Honestly though, yes I enjoy reading, though I hate to admit it. Anything with an elaborate storyline, anything funny and anything strongly thought provoking gets me hooked on a book. The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a favourite. I'm still looking for The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne, I hear it has a pretty mind blowing twist.
  15. Yup, sounds fair, if you can bash/slash/stab/burn/soak/cover in dirt/blow away/freeze people free of charge, why not also get to drive an arrow in to them from a distance free of charge as well? Support! :
  16. Simple, but ingenious! I endorse this suggestion/rant/or product. Support :D
  17. Exactly -.- But when you explain that to people its like " Oh no your just a cruddy driver!" Hm... Whenever I play that game, someone rings the Police thinking that a big fight has broken out in my house... Well, not really, but I hate it, but I hate it, but I hate it, but I hate it, but I hate it, but I hate it, but I hate it! multiplied by 9^10000^1000 Biggest screwover I have ever felt in videogaming. Here are some unsaid screw you moments I could think up - mind you, I didn't get angry at them.... Yet. - Urban Terror (open source fps): I'm doing some sort of jumping course for the heck of it and it glitches up and what's that? I die, after completing about 10 or so really difficult jumps that took 10 tries each! - Transport Tycoon Deluxe: It was my first time playing and I decided to mess around. I build a one square island costing me 60,000 credits!!! I could never recover from that with my poor finance skills.
  18. Obviously, if you lose a friend for that, they're not worth having, honestly. I agree that we should be able to play as we wish without all of this ridiculous banter, in every aspect of play. But there is some logic in the way these typical PKers deal, be it intentional or not so. If you eat a lot at high hitpoints, chances are your foe will drive you down and you won't get to retaliate too often and eventually, someone will give, and no one gets a kill. As far teleporting and having defence goes, it's all good!
  19. No one needs to get rid of anyone, sure these non-contributors are wasting valuable band-width that could be better used, but maybe the means of conserving bandwidth are mislead. That is a dirty trick, just because someone has a different sense of humour or behaviour they are giving them the ol' kick out the back door. I fail to see how this is the "best". But let's not start anything here, and stick to the topic, just giving my 10 cents on the off-topic (blame inflation). On Topic: I feel construction is a good thing, sure losing money can be a bit disheartening for some people (such as myself) but there are some things about the skill that make it awesome, that have been listed earlier. Maybe not fun at lower levels, but when you get to about 32 construction, things REALLY pick up! I hope to someday build a massive maze-like dungeon that only the best players can penetrate, but first I'll need about 2b geepees...
  20. I'd death dot on him. Or perhaps, if I didn't have a death wish, drop the items I can afford to lose and then turn on protect item prayer. You don't need to hide if you have nothing to lose.
  21. Good call! (did you notice that the dragonkin symbol, the semi-circle one looks kind of like a metroid on it's side?)
  22. If you knew me; you'd know either how much smarter, or how much more foolish I am. Saying that, it's hard to tell if anyone really knows me...
  23. How about if Jagex made up Runescape holidays, like "Cabbage Day" or something? Cabbages could get some buffs on the day. Like they heal 1 more hp than normal. They can be buried for 1 prayer xp. You could have cabbages following you around and all that sort of nonsense... Hey! I have something here *runs off to suggestions*
  24. Thanks for the advice. Ironically enough, I want 68 summoning to help with slayer.
