  1. Try becoming ambidextrous! I hear being able to use both arms makes you able to think better (I intend to do it sometime), that and it's convenient for when you break an arm and want to keep doing things you normally do with your dominant hand. I can't think of anything else, most of the good ones have been taken.
  2. Thanks, skiller for being the first poster - it's a pretty good one too ^_^. I hope i get 99 mining too, it's taken a long time so it'll be worth it, I know. I'll be sure to add you too.
  3. Mining Progress Finally I got it!! I also took a while to upload it... I got this June 12 2009. Yay! Foreword First and foremost - you don't have to worry about me being a neurotic, inconfident, narcissistic martyr, that whole gag is just to get your attention and keep it with a very... offbeat laugh... OK, I'm sorry, it's not funny. Anyway, to business. I was considering starting a blog for a while now, but kept putting it off because I didn't have the know-how nor believe I could maintain it. But now, seeing as I've been given some time to slow down and think, I've managed to do it. I'm starting a blog. This blog will log my progress and my daily adventures throughout the land of Gielinor, be it a triumph or a failure - it will be posted here. So, here's to the journey that lies right ahead! Goals My only goal at present is to obtain 99 mining. A brief history [hide=wall of text]I started Runescape in 2004, a friend showed me the game, there was a whole lot of them playing too (him and his friends) they were more fond of Runescape Classic though, so when it closed they left the game and I was on my own to use what they had taught me, not that I knew much - they were using Runescape Classic knowledge on me! The oldest memory I have is just arriving off tutorial island and wondering "how do I get back" and "what is this castle here for?" I was overwhelmed with text above people and I had no idea where to go. I just started killing goblins, because every good level 3 knows cows are suicide! Of course I died a few times but learnt as I did. About a year later I convinced my best friend to play runescape, we did some fun stuff and etc. We both became members for a bit and I found out my cousin played too. He taught me lots and with that I became a lot better in the short time of a few months. I made my first million with the help of my brother - we did it with steel bars, and it was becoming clear to me that I really liked mining. Later This year I started my quest for 100,000 coal. I only got to 10,000 (in about 11 days) and then got bored, on the upside I did have a whole lot of money (even more than my first plan - and I didn't have to share). That year I got my prized possession - a wizzy hat (t) from a treasure trail In 2007 another friend joined me in runescape, he became sage of lead - a really good friend of mine. He is so awesome, he deserves the mention. He set up this clan chat and all of our friends joined it. It was the place to be. That year I also got a certain message in my inbox. Jagex wanted me to become a player moderator. It took me a while to decide and in the end I said yes. Things changed drastically. I was rather scared to speak at first, worrying about the attention I would recieve. As time went by, though I got back into speaking (the G.E was a godsend). In 2008 we both became members, my quest for 99 mining truly started at 79 and I joined tif and sage and I were becoming more serious. I finally achieved my 100 combat. The game of chicken ended when sage left runescape and the clan chat disbanded. by the end of the year I had about 89 mining So here I am now after a break from teh boring skill, full wizzy (t) and pickaxe in hand, I'm reaching the end of my journey, and it's gonna be fun just getting there![/hide] Not the greatest histroy, but nonetheless, it's a history. Level-Ups Before I started the blog I took a lot of screenshots of level-ups, just in case. So, here they are: [hide=Stats at start of the blog][/hide] [hide=Combat stats]Attack Defence Strength Hitpoints Ranged Magic Prayer Summoning[/hide] [hide=Non combat stats A] Mining Fishing Woodcutting Hunter Farming[/hide] [hide=Non combat stats B] Runecrafting Construction Herblore Crafting Fletching Smithing Cooking Firemaking[/hide] [hide=Non combat stats C]Agility Thieving Slayer[/hide] Adventure Log I'll try to log every interesting day that happens to me. Milestones, happenings, thoughts Pictures Album [hide=Clan wars bug]I was a little shocked by this. I was randomly kicked from Sage's clan chat at clan wars. I log out, log in, rejoin and find my name is listed twice. In the arena I leave the clan but I'm not booted from the match... [/hide] That's about it for now, Enjoy! ...or don't enjoy, I mean, I don't want to force you to like something because I say so... It would be cool to have that control... but um... er... I'm not good at this...
  4. Absolutely NOT I'm lonely... all alone :uhh:
  5. I have so many fire capes I had to leave them all in the fight caves! Or in a less optimistic manner - none. :(
  6. I'd get 99 construction or summoning. The rest of the money would be invested into making more money.
  7. I'd tell him my main pwns him. Then proceed to tell him my main is Zezima. That will teach those gosh-darned zezima impersonators! Alternatively I'd say hi back.
  8. This is what happens when someone with the tendency to be really annoying decides to play RuneScape for fun. It happens all over the internet, and it does everyone's head in! -.- :x  (I have mixed feelings)
  9. The greatest cause of human misery must be emotions. For starters, without emotion we cannot feel miserable. It's that simple. Emotions also incite actions. These actions can be good but they can also be bad. Anger brings murder and hate. Hate brought us the holocaust and many, many wars. In a world with emotions we have Murder, Poverty, Suicide, Hitler, etc. But yes, emotions can also do great things. They can bring people together in times of need. They allow us to reproduce (sure it can be forcibly done, but the result isn't all that good.)and protect each other. Without emotion there'd be lots more suffering. In a world with emotion is World Vision and cancer research funds, there are people putting their lives on the line in other countries just to help. Now here's the paradox - if without emotion there is suffering, but if there isn't any feeling is it suffering? If you're interested, Equilibrium might be worth watching.
  10. Why would it summon demons? The guy recorded it in the first place and no such thing happened. General public - get some logic in ya!
  11. Free to play is NOT a trial - Jagex have said so many times, it's practically plastered all over the forums. Mod MMG answered that in his Q&A somewhere, I believe. Anyway, I think level 4 would be better off without the whole boss dungeon idea and more tasks - at least 3 times that.
  12. I disagree, I think it's pleasant to get a nice "gtfo :)" When I'm mining the same rock as someone else. Ok, not really... Darn people think they can "own" a spot and tell anyone to leave... the nerve... why I oughta *rambles on aimlessly* I think if most people want the advice they'll look at a guide or ask for help instead, being told unwillingly or told in a certain manner can be quite annoying - I know I wouldn't want it done to me.
  13. Great Idea! I'll check it out. Thanks for the advice so far guys :)
  14. There is just one thing about going for 99 mining that really gets to me. Competition. I can handle the boredom, That's nothing. But when I can't progress because all the good spots are taken and I don't want to waste time running back and forth because someone comes along and starts evicting me, that's when I get ready to give up. I want to know my options (excluding give up) How can I successfully outmine them most of the time? Is it better to just avoid them for slower spawns? etc. Thanks in advance fellow tipiters :

  16. Looks good. I'll be watching this space.
  17. Sometimes I wish freedom of speech came with an IQ test... In times like these there's only one thing we can do. Find a blog that builds up RuneScape and move on! Or find one that's worse and spiral downward into self-pity... It's been done to death, but I'm going to agree. The argument is flawed, bad and not worth the time (probably not even worth posting about. But seeing as it's here and there's a chance to get my post count up, I may as well conform) it took to post onto the internet for everyone to read, and not worth the readers time for that matter. Unless, this is actually a comedic blog and the poster is trying to be funny...

Had singing lessons today, but because my parents are a bit short on money we couldn't afford to pay for some of the equipment (CD's, music theory) that I'm supplied with I couldn't do the lesson. So, I'm not too happy :( On the upside, it did give me motivation to think and refocus myself something much needed if I do say so myself (yeah, after something embarrassing or upsetting I normally get all thinkative and start analysing myself - yes I made up a word).
  19. Really? You said THAT? If so, Nice one  . Anyways, I like to be different and noticeable, but I don't want to be treated different - that is, inferior. I don't want to be treated as inferior, or rabble, or some form of cheap amusement as so many do treat me. It's hypocritical to say that I want to be different but not treated that way, I understand, but isn't that what most people in an individualist society want? Anyway, I don't do everything for the sake of being different, that's not what many people do. They just do it. For example, I wore my hat upside-down in Primary School. I never did it to stand out. I did it because wearing it the right way up was so damn uncomfortable. I don't get why ANYONE wore theirs the right-way-up (if anyone asked I'd go into a philosophical ramble about "define right-way-up" or say something really sarcastic - now that I think about it - not a good idea). I also talk to myself a lot, it's not because I want people to hear or be known as the "Crazy-guy-who-talks-to-himself" I just did it because it helped me keep myself organised and ready (or as organised as I could ever be). I'm different because it's just how I am - as the answer should be for everyone else. ~"We're all individuals" ~"Except for me" (just thought I'd leave you with a laugh)
  20. I would just love to stare at the real thing. All day long. Nice pics :D
  21. If everyone just gave the time to think about how their action would affect the other person before they did it, then acted upon that thought. Maybe then there would be a lesser amount of murder, exploitation and just plain jerks. If everyone just got along things could be heaps more fun, spend less time complaining and hating each other and more time being sociable and pleasant.
  22. Because your signature says so. Why? (because)
  23. I forgot my entrance fee to the Brimhaven Dungeon so many times... Then, it gets better. I go back and get the money. Then once I'm in the dungeon, I realise I forgot my hatchet! :wall:
  24. Anyone get the pun?
  25. These ideas are ALL genius, I want to more *drools* One question, Are you making this up as you go (as in finding something, brainstorming, fleshing out, designing as you go) or have you planned them all out thoroughly BEFORE you posted the first idea (same as the latter, but all before the initial posting of the topic)?
