He'd need to outgain skiller by 1.5 times to have a chance so i seriously doubt it. He never truly was that great, just consistent(Nova outgained him in less than half the playing time, for example). I wouldn't also call him a real oldschool number one, as there were many great players much before him, much better(efficient, etc) than him. Oldschool isn't defined just by how efficient one plays, but more factors like popularity, playtime length and perhaps the fact that he was #1 for so long - I'm talking rs2 and not classic. I feel exactly the same as Squisher and Obt: Zarfot was my favourite, but if he doesn't return, Suomi would be my guess. If you think about it, the longer you are the number one, the less likely you are to be considered oldschool. It's true that he is an oldschool skiller, but he didn't achieve rank one until rs2, which really can't be considered oldschool. Being oldschool has nothing to do with popularity, efficiency or anything like that, it's purely about when someone reached number one. As for him having a chance, considering some people are already half there and that zezima isn't an efficient or nolife skiller(he was nothing like zarfot or soumi/drumgun), it's highly unlikely, infact, i'd guess that if he didn't stop playing, he wouldn't be number one today(he was great because of consistency, and nothing else). So by your logic, nobody is oldschool but those who has been #1? I'd say having played RSC makes you oldschool. I guess it depends on how you define the term "old school", but I think more than the small handful of players who have been #1 are old school.
