  1. Yes, let's put little stars on them too. ...And then the DBZ fans would organize some sort of cult like the Order of Cabbage dedicated to collecting these "dragon balls."
  2. Several months ago I was aimlessly rummaging through houses in Ardounge looking for a set of drawers that my next clue would be in, when some level 77 (I was 92 at the time) walked into the building I was in, called me a noob, then promptly left. What in blazes was that for? But yeah, there are some bad apples in this game. Just do your best to ignore them, there are still some good apples left to befriend.
  3. Go on a free world wearing full mystic, perhaps with a dragon halbred. Or any more unique looking members items. You'll get swamped, no matter your level... If I were level 120, I'd be bored thanks to trouble gaining those last few levels, rather from being swamped by beggars...
  4. Possible, yes. Feasable? No. The slayer counter probably relies on a single counter that is reset each time you get a different assignment. The black knight counter I would imagine rests on a similar counter. So that's two counters for each player. Now look at how many monsters there are in the game. If they were to add a counter for each monster, there would be (someone please doublecheck this number) over 300 counters for each player. Now multiply that by the number of players total, and... well, it's a lot of extra storage space used up. Storage space I'd rather see used on expanding the bank again(how do I constantly manage to run out of space, yet feel I have no junk?). I'd rather be able to see the date my character was created, which is something they used to store, and still might do...
  5. There seems to be a growing trend of legitimate high skill leveled people with level 3 combat... If you think about it a little, it adds challenge to the game. Challenge that is typically missing. If you have to constantly dodge monsters and vicious random events because you have 10 hits, 1 defense, and nothing but iron armor, then you have to pay attention or lose something. Not to mention you have to be careful what you do, because if you mess up and end up hitting much, you can easily gain a combat level. Plus, you have the added challenges of not being able to kill anything for any possible supplies, not being able to use magic, and having several useful areas(like the entire morytania area) locked off to you because you're a level 3 combat who aims to stay that way. Not to mention that in the quests you can do without gaining combat-related experience as a reward, you often need to kill stuff. Not only that, but what if you choose to attempt to raise slayer on a level 3 combat account...? Imagine trying to kill enemies with no prayer using nothing but rings of recoil and flowers so you don't accidentially gain combat experience. It's meerly a different way to play RuneScape. I think it's rather sad that most bots are used on level 3 combat characters , which causes legitimate level 3 non-combat skill levelers to be almost automatically assumed to be evil by most players. Those legitimate level 3 combat players I think are amazing.
  6. This will be quite useful for us crafters, that it will... Now if only we could fill all our buckets in inventory with a single click, like herblorists can with their vials and water...
  7. I'd imagine it'd depend upon your goal. If you want as many points as possible, then yeah, doing each type when its bonus comes up would be best. If you only care about experience, then just enchant one type. This would be faster than constantly running between the colored piles of shapes.
  8. I'd say One Small Favour and Tail of Two Cats, because both give you lamps that you can use on any skill you like. However, I think the Tail of Two Cats lamps gives far less(like a fourth) than the One Small Favour quest ones... Priest in Peril is pretty good, I'm fond of Morytania. Ghosts Ahoy! was good, too... Phasmatys has the ectofuntus and the furnace there is the closest to the bank. Plus, if you're a farmer, you get access to a relatively easy to get to allotment area using ectophial. After that, I'd say the quests that give you access to new runecrafting areas, but they're only worth it if you have the proper RC level to make them...
  9. yes but u get xp. so lets say u buy 1000 nats, and alch em in that game (i havent checked it out yet so dont blame me for not knowing all the facts) you get points off it, AND xp, and with those points you can buy another 500 nats! and you get money off it too! sorry but, IMO, thats a really good deal Everything in that shop costs a certain amount of all four Pizazz Pints types. So in order to redeem your Alchemy points for more natures, you'd have to play the other games as well... So you'd end up playing two games that use nature runes, one that uses laws, and another that uses cosmics. This certainly reduces the number of runes you could get back greatly. Plus... The highest amount of coins you can get in the alchemy game per cast is 30. To get 1 alchemy point, you need to turn in 100 coins. So it would take 10 casts to get 3 alchemy points. Furthermore, if I recall correctly, it costs 4 alchemy points for a nature, plus amounts of the other points... The points are better spent on the other prizes (robes, ect) anyways. So you're sadly better off just making your own. :\
  10. I'd completely forgot about the healers! This will be much easier than repeatedly trying to eat bananas in the graveyard challenge to recover hits...
  11. If the peaches heal more than bannanas(at least double), and you want to get ALL the stuff in that store, then I'd advise getting the bones to peaches first, so lasting a long time in the Graveyard place will be easier, thus making gathering Graveyard points far easier. It's not totally useles... just... mostly useless.
  12. Off topic: The security announcement about images not working on Tip.It is stickied to the top of the General P2P forums... On topic: I do hope it's nothing more than a bug. This will really get in my way when I try to raise my prayer next...
  13. Less supplies, more demand. More supplies, less demand. Prices are determined by the point where the prices a seller wants to sell for and a buyer is willing to buy for meet. Want to reduce demand for partyhats? Introduce more rare(by rare I mean limited supply) and discontinued items to compete with partyhats. Partyhats just don't have enough competition in the "extremely high priced limited quantity" category. I really think they should add more rare, limited quantity items to the game...
  14. Off topic: Little more clarification: Is it considered 'scope creep' when the developers (or the project managers) themselves decide to add features to a project, rather than the client specifically asking for said project? Like, in your example, the builders decide to add 2 more bathrooms even though the client did not ask for them? Jagex more or less work for themselves, no one tells them they must put magic coffee mugs of +1 twitchiness into the game. Us players are the closest things to clients they have. I don't know how many additions to the game have been specifically asked for... Then again, I guess whoever is at the top deciding what features to put in would be considered the 'client.' On topic: I'm glad to see Paul's post on the Carpentry/ POH delay. I just wish they'd learned this lesson back in the RSC days, and just surprised us completely with Carpentry. People ignored the word "try" in Jagex's statement. Try doesn't mean for sure they'll have it out by the end of the year., but that's the goal they're aiming for.
  15. Uh... yeah. Thinking about the quests one would have to do for blood crafting does make me a little nervous. But first I need to get the level to do it, that's the killer for me...
  16. You got me there... Sorry. I guess I should've paid more attention in Systems Analysis and Design...
  17. Off topic: "Client-side" infers that YOUR computer handles something. In RuneScape, the only thing your computer(the client) does is show graphics. Everything else is handled by the server. Things like the Bank and Farming are most likely handled using data that is linked to your character, which is all stored server-side. You only see what you see because the farming patches are linked to that data. Sorry, mis-use of terms is one of my pet peeves. On Topic: I wish they had NEVER mentioned Carpentry and POH's when they released RS2. It just generated more noise. like this. Perhaps it will come out, perhaps not. Either way, I don't care about them. Jagex has always had a real bad problem with "scope creep" -- in other words, they found out projects required more time and effort than they planned for.
  18. Haha, that's kind of funny. But it's easy to do. Anyways, if you lose your cannon the dwarf will give you another for free. I had to get mine replaced 3 times while doing slayer. It's really handy if you get dagganoth, kalphites, or anything else in a multicombat area for a slayer assignment. Though the time spent making cannonballs is quite the pain in the rear... Hope you have fun with your cannon.
  19. Okay, I've updated my guide again. This time it should be complete.. or at least near complete... If anyone has anything to add or think anything needs clarifying, please post and I'll do my best to accomodate you.
  20. Please don't post a correction someone else has already posted. As for the names that sound like something else, that's a White Knights thing. Most named White Knights in Falador have names like that. I beleive a couple of Knights in the Varrock Castle have names like that as well...
  21. Thanks for that explanation. It hadn't hit me that Dihydrogen Monoxide was actually the chemist's name for water.:\ I was just writing what the examine in the game called it, heh. Another clever thing from Jagex. Sodium Chloride is ordinary table salt, for anyone who hasn't had Chemistry yet.
  22. The Tip.It Official Quest Guide written by Empror1 has been posted. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=109 To Start, talk to Sir Amik Vase in the White Knights Castle. He is on the second or third floor. He tells you to go talk to Sir Tiffy Cashien, who is sitting on a park bench in the Falador Park. He will take you to the Temple Knights testing area where different people will present you with different puzzles. Here is a list of the puzzles I've had so far. If there are others, please feel free to add them and I will update my post. Puzzles and solutions: --- Sir Tinley's Puzzle: His one clue is "Patience." Just stand still. --- Sir Ren Itchood's clue: He'll give you a clue in the form of a phrase. Take the first letter of each line and put it into the door. Example: Rare it is that you will see A puzzle such as this! Inmany ways it tickles me Now, watching you hit and miss! Password to the door in this case is RAIN. Other passwords are: FISH, MEAT, MIND,BITE. Thanks to Spark FX for the other three passwords. --- Ms. Hynn Terpett: She will ask you a riddle. If she asks you a different one than the one(s) listed here, please post it and the correct answer and I will update this guide. The answer to the question about choosing your own demise is the wolves who haven't been fed in a month. The answer to the one about the inhabitants of RuneScape is 0. The answer to the one about the daughter's age is 10. The answer to the one involving the stone dropped into four buckets is 32 degrees. Thanks to Empror1, Runesmithie, and Umega for additional answers. If you have a riddle that is not here, check Empror1's post dedicated to Ms. Hynn Terpett. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=285833 --- Sir Kuam Ferentse & Sir Leye: Sir Leye can be defeated by no MAN. Must be a girl to win the fight against Sir Leye. Thanks to Spark FX. --- Sir Spishyus: He wants you to carry a Fox, a Chicken, and Grain to the other side of the bridge. If left alone, Fox will eat Chicken. Chicken will eat grain. Take the Chicken across the bridge. Take the Fox across the bridge and pick up the chicken. Take the chicken back across the bridge(to the side with the observer), drop it, and pick up the Grain. Take grain across the bridge and drop it. Go get the chicken and bring it across the bridge once more and set it down. Puzzle solved. Thanks to Spark FX. Thanks to Shiva for telling me my previous explanation was a little confusing. Hopefully this one is more clear. --- Miss Cheveers: Note: the "Vial of Liquid" when examined says it's a vial of Dihydrogen Monoxide. So if you can't find it that's because the game calls it "Vial of Liquid." It's actually water, as Shiva pointed out. Search all the shelves in the room to obtain all the various chemicals. The spade spawns on the table, on the other side of the table is a Bunsen burner. Pick up spade. Use with Bunsen Burner. Use spade with Stone Door. Use Cupric Sulfate with Stone Door. Use Dihydrogen Monoxide(vial of liquid) with Stone Door. Open Stone Door. Use Gypsum with pie tin. Use Dihydrogen Monoxide with tin. Use Tin with the key in the corner of the wall.(the one chained down.) Use Cuprous(copper) Powder with the tin. Use Tin powder with the tin. Use with Bunsen Burner. Use knife on the tin. Use key with wooden door. ---- Lady Table: This methood is the 'proper' methood of doing the puzzle: There are supposed to be 4 statues of each color: Bronze, Iron, and Gold. Each color has four different types of weapons being held: Halbred, Sword, Mace, and Big Axe. Try to figure out which weapon is missing of the color that only has three. You only have a few seconds to look. Tip: if you need more time to look at the statues before the missing one is bought in, then position youself and your camera where you can see all the statues and take a screenshot, then paste the screenshot into your favorite image editor. Then after the statues have been rearranged and the missing one brought in, touch the one that was missing; in other words touch the statue of the color that only had three before and holds the weapon that was missing. Thanks to Spark FX and Lowgravity. --- Once you beat a certain number of the puzzles, you complete the testing and the quest. Quest rewards: 1QP, 1,000 Prayer, Herblore, and Agility XP. "Gaze of Saradomin" which allows you to respawn in White Knights' Castle instead of Lumbridge. Temple Knight's Initiate Helm. You also get 3K and a Makeover Voucher if you started the quest as a male character but had to switch for that one puzzle. You can buy Initiate armor from Tiffy Cashien after the quest. Helm for 6k, Plate Legs for 8k, Plate mail body for 10k. Bulk deal for 20K. He can also allow you to switch your spawn point from Falador back to Lumbridge if you would rather. For information about the armours, visit this topic: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=285810 This guide to be used only by Tip.It.
  23. What an interesting topic. Personally, I think that's part of the fun, seeing how it's a role-playing game. Some guys may want to play on a girl character. There's two different reasons for this. One is the guy really wants to play a different role in RS than in RL. Two is the guy sees his character more as an assistiant instead of an avatar. Thus the female character is just some cute little thing to look at who helps him win. Like the guys who always play female characters on the console fighting games. I am not bothered by the idea of guys playing on girl characters; it's bound to happen. It's a roleplaying game, and I respect the rights of players to play on characters of the oppisite sex. It only bothers me when I see something like someone named Xx Sk8rBoy xX or Lord John 24 (names are made up, I apologize if it's a real RS username) playing on a female character. If your character has a definitely male-sounding name, it should be male. If it's feminine, it should be female. Okay, so maybe there's another thing that bothers me: guys wearing the new dwarf shorts and skirts. But that's another topic altogether...
