A fetus will eventually become self-aware. A redwood will not. The ability to become self aware is a mere property. So is being self aware. Why are these properties more important than others? Yeah but there plenty of other born children that can't because they live in poverty. Using the money it costs to raise a child to save third world families contributes to life in a more cost effective manner. Anti abortion is a gut decision. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but that's what it is. That's why you tend to see more women who are anti abortion, because they go by their emotions and rationalize it after more than men. Again, I'm saying it's different, not that it's a bad thing. We're hardwired to protect our species. It's a great reason for not liking abortion, but in todays world it's not a great reason against abortion itself. Suffering and murder is embedded into our culture. Abortion is killing yes, but relative to what goes on, it's really not all that bad. Animals are no better than people, and most of us happily eat them. For those who don't, they eat food harvested by machines that kill animals. Buying clothing made from sweatshops is more convenient than finding clothing that hasn't been.. Avoiding killing is too inconvenient for everybody, which makes it a terrible argument against abortion. Less death is no better if it could have been avoided.

In my experience if she is into you then she will make time. If brad pitt asked her out she wouldn't be busy. I tried to meet up with my current girlfriend early when she wasn't that into me and we were only FBing and she was always busy because of uni, her 2 jobs, her volunteer work, plans with others and mma. When she became more into me her schedule cleared right up even though she still does those things. I don't know what's been said and how she acts around you so I can't give accurate advice on this, but maybe push pull a lot more. Act really into her, and then really disinterested.

I'm australian and have no idea what any of that means apart from the degree, but it is nowhere near degree level maths. It was for an electrical apprenticeship. Very basic [cabbage], I would have probably gotten 100% on it 4-5 years ago. Indice laws, multiplying 3 digit numbers, picking the biggest fraction from a group, rearranging formulas etc. I failed that but just ask me about imaginary numbers :rolleyes: I smashed the energex aptitude test because it was much longer, so I had more room for error to get a high percentage. This one was like 15 questions and not much time at all. If you give me enough notice I could probably find a cheap place for you to stay next time, depending on the amount of people.

[bleep]. I didn't get the job. I only missed out by a couple spots because my basic math let me down at the aptitude test. I calculus etc at school and got rusty at the basic stuff. Good news is I still have a well paying apprenticeship offer, and it starts a bit later so I don't have to come home from america early. I'll reapply next intake in a year or so and get it then because I'll be more experienced and will l2basicmath.

Go back, ask to talk to a manager again, tell them your name and that you're looking for work. They won't get annoyed if it's only fortnightly, but you'll find out when they're hiring.

Keep your resume 1 page, make it look professional, list healthy hobbies and interests, education etc try and make it relevant to the job you're applying for, but make sure you can edit it easily for a specific job. Go in to multiple places and ask to talk to a manager, bring your resume with you and ask if there is any work going. Keep coming back every fortnight, they will remember you and see that you are keen. If you need something to fill the page with write a couple sentences about yourself at the bottom. By about yourself, I mean how great of a worker you are etc, but be subtle. Don't do what my friend did and list playing computer games as a hobby, then apply at a couple places once and give up.

90 meters, sub 10.75s? That's a huuuuge difference, I don't think you will get 10.75 anytime soon. Find a sprinter and get him to critique your start, and your form. There isn't much I can help with form over the internet. When doing a race/time trial hold your breath for the first 30m. Start at a crouch and don't go fully upright until then. When you reach the 30m mark you should be at full speed, upright, and push out all your air hard. Keep your face and arms relaxed, drive your knees down hard. Do 30-60-90m*3, with your walk back as recovery. Put in 100% each rep. That 40 yard time also sounds a bit slow for that 100 yard time.
