Yellowcard, Fall Out Boy, MCR, Good Charlotte? Punk is a pretty fun genre (although it did die out, all that is left is crappy pop punk and pop rock stuff) but these bands you listed are horrible, and not punk. NoFX and Bad Religion are probably my two favorite from the genre, NoFX pretty much just for their incredible song The Decline which has to be the best punk song ever. I've never really explored the genre much though.

Well I gave King Crimson a listen. I'll be checking out more prog rock in the next few days I think. :) This is a lot better than the mindless [bleep]ery of a lot of progressive metal bands.
  3. Rap

+1 Well, rap literally isnt music. Music does require instruments/whatever you call whats made from a turntable, or just noises. Rap is *rap* not music. mu?sic ? ?/?myuz?k/ [myoo-zik] noun 1. an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.
  4. I'm not sure how well warrior/priest would go. Personally I'm doing Warrior/Shaman, because I think it's an excelent move for S2. They have a ton of armor (not as much as paladin, but much more than druid and priest) and have some awesome mobility and offensive skills (purge, shocks, hex). What I'm curious is how my 3v3 team, Warrior/Shaman/Hunter, will do. Also I heard prot PvP is pretty good, I remember some guy [bleep]ing about a prot war/prot war 2v2 that would just perm stun people pretty much.
  5. It's a netbook, my roomate has one. We actually got steam on his and got Half Life 1 to work. :D
  6. Interesting idea. Of course I'm skeptical on how it will work with thousands of users at once, but really this could be the future. Of course the other part of this is how long will it take before computer technology and computer graphics get to a point to where you can't make them look any more realistic? I mean, eventually computer hardware will be able to do whatever, and honestly I don't think it's that far off. Looking at games in todays market (Crysis for example) I'm not sure how much further we can really push everything.
  7. AVG sucks, use Avira. And Avira does have a free version. As far as a firewall goes, I know people will probably kill me for saying this but personally I use the windows one. Of course if you're worried about security feel free to download something better.
  8. Yay you can run runescape on a computer. Truly an achievement. Yes I know it is a netbook. Doesn't make it any more impressive
  9. My main goal now is to get some decent gear before S6. :) Unlike most warriors I'm really not worried about 3.1, hell, I'm looking forward to it. I really want my bubble remover :>
  10. Lol that image example is horrible. Realistic?
  11. King Crimson's In the Court of the Crimson King Really never listened to prog rock before. Thought this would be a good start. :)
  12. It overheats the XBOX. It's [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]ed and anyone who recommends it is [developmentally delayed]ed and should not be allowed near technology.

    No.
  16. Don't do C or D. Microsoft isn't stupid and their workstaff certainly isn't either. They can tell if you overheated it on purpose or not.

Diablo with the Diablo Plugin edit: 1 hint: This game was made by a company still alive today.
  18. I'm left handed. I've built 2 of my own computers before (one was mine, one was for my younger brother). I also have probably dealt with more oddball problems on the PC than anyone else, so I guess I'm pretty competent on a PC. (I've also been a digital artist for over 8 years *Points to signature*) so you might be right about it pointing to creativity and technology.
  19. It's tough to say if it was a problem with the CD Key or if it was a problem with his computer. Honestly I wouldn't really trust buying it online from someone.
  20. Simple; Lag. What does your latency usually sit at? Some of my guildies sit at around 800 average. 50-90ms.
  21. What about your current one? That one is recent and looks good. Will edit with some stuff later. Yeah I like that one :P .

You're right in saying I've played pretty much every big name MMO and a ton of smaller ones too. However runescape just does not stick out in my mind as any fun. I think I wrote something a while back kind of.. detailing what I thought of runescape, but I have no idea where I posted so I'll just kind of paraphrase. The problem I have with runescape is it has no real credentials to play it other than to get higher numbers on your character. What I mean by this is that if you ask what the majority of people do while playing runescape the answer is often "Play it while reading TIF/Watching youtube/on Facebook or myspace". Very rarely do you get someone who wants to be so enthralled in the games universe that they play it as a game, instead of a large chat box with goals. Of course this all stems from the fact that pretty much everything in the game is the same. Combat? Point, click, and soon the monster is dead at your feet. An auto attack system and agro system makes it so that a player can simply sit there and actually "play" the game, gaining skills. Of course during this time they aren't paying attention to the boring game, but something more entertaining. The thing is this idea of AFKing while training is true for the entire game, as if you go to fish, or cut trees, or mine ore it all ends up at the same basic action. The game used to have one saving grace in the form of some sort of PvP. While the PvP in the game was just an RNG (random number generator) with stats tied to it it still had some form of danger, some form of excitement and some reason behind doing what you were doing. However, as with anything else, they pretty much took that away. Of course I'm not even talking about the recent additions but even as far back as just making the wilderness a safer place, or adding it in period. One could say that a good community could be the saving grace for a game, because the fact is if you have a good, fun community to experience the game with it very well can be a different experience all together. However in runescape that is not the case. The gaming community is, by far, the worst I have ever seen in all the MMORPG's I have played. I have played all numbers of countless F2P, P2P MMOs out there and runescapes is horrible. It's not that it is a popular f2p game, no, it's the fact that the crowd it brings in is the exact crowd that the rest of the MMO world wants to get rid of. The fact is I have seen great f2p communities (Anarchy Online has one of the best, and it is an f2p/p2p MMO) but runescapes is horrible in every regard. Really there is nothing in my mind that can salvage this game. That's not to say that people aren't going to enjoy it, they will. However I feel that a lot of times all of that enjoyment comes from the few minutes worth of excitement when they hit a new, "milestone" level and proudly show it in the Rate This section (really, out of every single MMORPG I have ever played I've never seen a section like that. No one cares) and then go back to the mind-dullingly boring grind. So that's the problem I have with it. The fact is is that, in my experience, a lot of f2p korean grinding MMOs can be fun for what they are. You get in there, you have some fun with the combat (which usually is pretty fast paced) and you can just toss it aside later. I'm not going to do some sort of scale placing runescape on an arbitrary point either, because I see no reason in trying to rate crap. I'm not sure if I get this part. You should know me well enough by now to know that none of these apply to me. Although it does bring up a good point, and that is that the artistic style of runescape is so dull and lifeless. It has nothing to do with the graphics engine, so to speak, I mean I still think Ultima Online and Anarchy Online are both two very good looking MMORPGs because they just DRIP with style. In that same vein I don't really like how AoC looks because a lot of it is pretty boring (except for fatalities). And I'm certainly not lacking experience in MMOs. In fact, I would say that those who enjoy runescape are the ones who lack experience, and who (chances are) have not played any good MMORPGs.
  23. I'm not even sure if I like any of my signatures anymore lol.
  24. I don't know how people can fail on the safety dance. Scratch that, I don't know how people can fail in naxx period. edit: I <3 bloodlust on my warrior. So much rage. Had pretty much the perfect group set up for me (DK, Paladin, Shaman all in the group) so I ended up doing 2300DPS on the last boss in VH. lvl 77 now.
  25. I'm not a fan of the style, the brushed look with hard black outlines is odd because I don't like the clash of styles (If you're going for a clean, anime look do that. Don't try brushing in "Detail" on a detail-less person). Also the arm on the chick is crazy weird looking.
