  1. Zuriaake's Afterimage of Autumn album. Listening to the song Moon of Frost right now.
  2. Yeah it all depends what it's for. I should also say that if you're doing any heavy typography work Jpg's are horrible too. Otherwise they're fine though.
  3. Come on now rick lol. It's just a rectangle. :P

Yeah they're really distracting, I agree. It needs more of a focus, right now I think it is too reliant on the character being an easy focus but you don't really have any lead into it. The colors just seem really murky too.
  5. I don't think I have 75 albums I could recommend, haha.
  6. That sucks. My server is a PvP server yet we pug naxx with ease. edit: Just tanked UK as fury w/o tank gear. Man that sucked, but managed to get through it lol.
  7. This. I don't believe in a draft so I don't think either should have to.
  8. Just leave the guild and pug Naxx 10 IMO (or find another guild). Even pugs can kill Patch 10 easy. Really all of naxx is pretty faceroll.

  11. Not even sure if beta is "out" yet. I would guess end of march or beginning of april we'll see the first wave of them.

Game design is almost completely based off of your portfolio and work, and not your grades. Sure, being able to say you had good grades can help, but the ultimate decider is your portfolio. I am studying to become a 3D Designer for video games and even though my degree isn't exactly related to that or game design (it's a communication graphics degree) I still am getting experience and, in the end, all that will matter is how well I design. If you're interested in game design there is a lot of options. Level design, programming, art (Both through concept sketches, website design, 3D Design [and all of the sub-studies of 3D]) , writing, concept design, Sound design, ect. Honestly the industry is pretty varied and it all depends on what you want to do. It also depends if you want to work at an actual company or create your own games from scratch (as an indie company). So I would recommend finding something you really enjoy and do a lot of it. If you enjoy level design and mapping, pick up a copy of something like Half Life 2, Unreal Tournement 3 or another game known for its modding community and start making maps with it. Likewise, if you're interested in the concept design part of it, stuff like what should go in the game, what numbers to use (for example games like WoW have people dedicated to figuring out balance of classes and working with numbers and stats like their HP, bosses HP abilities, ect) then maybe try and team up with someone and work out an idea for a mod. For my area of specialty I am interested in, 3D design, I am simply learning it from the ground up. It doesn't have to be related to game design although I do think it would be nice to make some 3D models for a game such as Half life 2, or at least start at reskins and such. If you're interested in concept art then have a portfolio full of drawings and concepts of characters, landscapes, enemies and such. And of course if you're interested in sound then find out what area of it you are interested in and try and build up a portfolio from that. So if it's music, try and have a portfolio of various tracks. If it's more of ambiance stuff then do that. In the end though your grades aren't going to matter man.

That's my problem too star. When I was messing around I'd do a bunch of stuff and mess it up. Then again I was trying to make more of an abstractual thing. :P
  14. Why shoes? Would have been so much better without that and a 3D abstract in it's place.
  15. Meh I usually use speedfan personally. All the programs are going to show a difference though. Try CoreTemp like joe said.
  16. It's true sega's controllers kept getting bigger, haha. The dreamcast one was great though, and the analog stick was full of win. I remember the saturn joystick controller too, thing was [bleep]ing beastly lol. Always used to argue with my little brother and sister who would have to use that controller when we played multiplayer games. :P
  17. I can never stand using a Dualshock controller. I realize it might just be the fact that I never play playstation, but having both analog sticks right next to each other just sucks.
  18. Nadril replied to RayOxide's topic in Off-Topic
Isn't that given? I don't think anyone here is trying to say they hate popular music for it being popular...
  19. The one thing I hated about the N64 controller was trying to explain to your parents how to hold the goddamned thing. I have to say too I have a soft spot for the dreamcast controller, even if it was a little bulky.

Led Zeppelin does belong in any discussion involving the beginning of metal, just because they were an influence. They themselves aren't a metal band though.
  21. Lies! That dpad is hard and awkward to use. I've had bad experiances playing street fighter with it >_> But yeah, ps1/ps2 were really comfortable. Are we bringing old school systems into this? Otherwise I'd just go with dracion1 with the mouse and the keyboard :P The Sega Saturn controller was hands down the best 2D controller ever. :) Crazy good 2D controller. The MadCatz SF4 controller is actually a lot like it as well (same kind of dpad almost).
  22. Those sprites suck.
  23. Nadril replied to RayOxide's topic in Off-Topic
They both suck? Anyways, I don't really listen to the radio. Only time I really did was listening to some metal channel on XM Radio on the way into work. Wasn't that bad. As far as TV goes I really only watch Adult Swim when it's on, and I guess that is about as far as you could consider "underground TV". Well at least the shows on it wouldn't be shown on a more mainstream channel such as FOX or something. Not really sure if you could consider it underground though, haha. Other than that though I really don't watch much TV at all.
  24. Boo night elf! Trolls are [bleep]in awesome though, I wish my warrior was one (but he's orc so cool enough). Then again the good thing about my orc warrior is Blood Fury is a crazy good talent for him. Also want to see something funny? Check out www.wowwiki.com
