  1. Dual monitors doesn't strain your computer unless you have an app spread across both monitors, because then it would be a larger resolution. Other than that it doesn't slow down anything and there is no reason for it to.

    Looks like Sonic CD.

    Bully?
  4. ok
  5. ....who pissed in your cornflakes? What?
  6. Yeah, I'm using CS3 myself currently. I want to try out CS4 extended sometime, too lazy to download currently.
  7. Who really gives a damn about technicalities. It looks great and has so much more style put into it than the simple "trace over an object" vectors that people seem to think makes them so skilled. Love the image, but I'd get rid of the right side text. I don't really think a lot of people on PR know anything about other mediums other than what goes on into a signature anyways.
  8. If you just use it for photography do you even need to upgrade to CS4? I'd try the trial out on both versions (Extended and regular) and make up your mind that way.
  9. I kept waiting for the funny but the funny never came.
  10. I still like how, every time one of these threads pop up, people still think that it is largely the person's fault (who commited suicide). They are ignoring the entire point of it being a mental illness, and how their "Cry for attention" is them crying for help.

    Yup.
  12. Yeah but he can just get windows 7 then.
  13. Yeah 3.0 is a solid B average, I don't see how that is bad by any means. Than again, as always, most people on TIF have a GPA of 4.0 or higher. Who woulda thought?
  14. Chrono trigger is about..hmm...30x better than Chrono cross, imo atleast. Yeah. Chrono Cross had way too many characters.

No, I mean like I've noticed it being much harder for the survivors. People are dying a lot faster from the horde.

Got the deal 5000 damage to survivors achievement today. And is it just me or did Valve make versus a lot more difficult recently?
  17. I'm doing bad if you look at my overall GPA... so don't really want to talk about that. I'm hoping this semester will be better though, aiming for at least a 3.0 or higher. I figure my grades are somewhere along these lines: layout and design: A Graphic Design: A (I know this one already) Inks and Substrates: A-B (hoping A) Sociology: C (doing poorly in this class) ELS + Lab: B-C (depending on how much the lab factors in).
  18. it will be in your bios options. if you have a old motherboard you mightn't be able to use a usb, so you will have to use a floppy or something, but most motherboards i believe to support usb booting. have a look around for it in the bios. make sure if its enabled or whatever you put it above the hard drive in the boot order otherwise it wont work anyway. ive never used a usb device to boot before but thats what i imagine you would need to do. No, I know that. You need to turn the USB into a bootable drive too. Paging size is at 4GB atm.
  19. The newegg deals are nuts. $29.99 for 4GB of ram with free shipping.
  20. Am I the only one who hates 2Fort? Its such a boringly easy to defend map. Put a sentry just outside one of the spawns [by the stairs], another by the intel and another somewhere in between, dont ever leave their side, ???, STALEMATE. And I swear demomen are really powered. I wouldnt say overpowered, because they lose out in accuracy and speed, but explosions have a huge radius and do large amounts of damage. Its also incredibly easy to camp with them, especially 2Fort. Yeah I was never a fan of 2Fort. Well, ok, maybe it's because I played 2Fort for years and years prior to TF2 (probably same reason I hate De_Dust and De_Dust2 in CS:S)
  21. UPDATE: Just uninstalled the 9600GT (Through device manager), then reinstalled the latest drives (180.48) in safe mode. Played Left4Dead now for about 30 minutes without any issues (no stuttering or BSOD, usually it happened within 5 minutes). Still am going to do that CHKDSK and I'd like to hear everyones thoughts on if I should bother with a memtest or not. :) Can't get a USB to be bootable, any help?
  22. PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA STOP: 0x00000050 (0x80000000,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000) E4300 Core2duo @1.8ghz, 800FSB. nForce 650i Ultra mobo, 9600GT, 3GB of Corsair PC2-6400 RAM, Windows XP SP3 CPU: 37C HD0: 41C GPU: 43C I'm not overclocked at all currently. It happens currently when I play Left4Dead, although I'm going to test it in other games as well (Warhammer Online was working earlier today, and Left4Dead was working yesterday?). It only seems to happen once I'm really in game and a lot is going on. It freezes and then gives me the BSOD error. I've scanned my machine already and haven't came up with any viruses. Apparently, from looking it up, the problem seems to be anywhere from driver problems to fault RAM or VRAM. If it matters any I've noticed that my windows boot up (when it first shows the windows logo) seems to take a bit longer. Game performance seems normal, however... As does the actual windows UI. I'm planning on running a CHKDSK tonight (as it takes forever!) and I need to find a way to run a memtest, as I just can not figure out what I need to do to make a USB drive bootable. (and I don't have a floppy drive nor any CD-RW's on me currently.). I'm going to try and reinstall the graphic drivers in safe mode as well (just in case) although I'm not sure if it will help. Any ideas or thoughts as to where I should go from here? It's frustrating. :)
  23. FYI it doesn't "barely" play crysis. My machine is worse then the one I posted and I can handle Crysis wars (multiplayer) at a pretty steady 40fps.
  24. They remind me of the old DOS games Apogee used to make. :)
  25. Pumpkin Pie, mmm.... Fun fact: I get pumpkin pie for my birthday too. :P (which is in august)
