There certainly is a lot that speaks volumes on a resume for a job at a gaming company. I would love to try and do even some 3D models for a game, when I get to that point, but really the more experience the better. As far as what I want to do right now (as I said before) I have my eye on 3D design. I have 3 more years to really get a hang of it, which I hope I can. However I wouldn't mind actually trying to be in charge of ideas, brainstorming and all of that for game design as well -- I'd like to think I know what goes into a good game. Little things like never taking control away from your character (I.E cutscenes. Valve does this so well because they let you move around in a cut scene, even if it's just looking around) I think are pretty important. Really though right now the 3D is what I'm aiming for. As far as Machinima goes I am meaning to get into it, at least for PvP videos, come Warhammer. If I do or not really depends though.

Yes thats just like when rockstar made games before becoming rockstar .. its still the same. Rockstar didn't merge with a different company and drastically change the staff. #-o I'm not sure if you know this but all companies go through staff changes.

Sure, it might have additives in it, and artificial sweetener, but that is a small price to pay if you are not going to be putting on weight. Besides, obese people aren't the only ones that drink that stuff. I am really healthy myself, and I always drink products that have the 'diet' label on them. I don't won't to risk putting on weight. The additives / sweetner is worse for you than the normal sodas. If you don't want to get fat then drink soda in moderation or (gasp) not at all.

I recommend to watch it start to finish man, it's so much better that way.

Yep, me too. I'm a very big fan of Family Guy, and if American Dad wasn't from Seth MacFarlane as well, I might've liked it. But it's exactely like Futurama: you know it's from the mastermind behind a milestone in the history of television, so you automatically compare it to it and find it weaker than its bigger brother. You trying to say that Futurama is worse than Simpsons? :cry: Honestly I found Futurama so much better than the simpsons, it's a pitty it got canceled when it did. What I loved is that Futurama had a pretty good plot line throughout the shows, especially one that really got amazing during the last season.

I have an X-Fi XtremeGamer and really haven't had any problems with it so far. There are some custom drivers out there if you really don't like creatives own. You don't need to buy one if you don't want, onboard sound should be fine for most stuff. If you wanted to drop the price I'd take out the sound card and maybe go for an HD4850 instead of the GTX260. That would drop it by about $240 or so. You could probably be fine with home premium too, which would put it to around $1000 total. At the same price range dual cores clock higher than quad cores, usually. They're better for gaming purely because there really aren't any (or many, at least) games that support quad core yet. Heh, I must be fairly lucky not to have any major problems with creative. Either way it probably would be cheaper for the OP just to use onboard.

Again noting what others said. 4ghz OC is possible for the 3.2ghz clocked dual core's if you spend ~$40-$50 on a good heatsink. I got a 1.8ghz to 2.7ghz, and I am using a $35 heatsink. :) For motherboards the nForce are always pretty nice, I have an nForce 650i Ultra that works well. The 7 series is probably fairly cheap now too.

Look, I don't have a problem with first-pixel siggys. Pixeling is very hard, and it's best to go easy on the beginners. But when you rip images from the Runescape web site, copy-paste them in MSPaint, and try to pass off the resulting mess as a pixel sig that you apparently "made entirely pixel by pixel", that's when I have a problem. It's the effort issue here, not the art. (Sorry if I sounded like I'm being snotty or something) This. I'd be more inclined to help if he didn't try passing off obvious runescape images as his own.

For all of you guys screaming out adoption, you know that there are a lot of kids out there already that haven't been adopted. Really just having a kid only to throw them in adoption, and most likely having to live in foster care for a good number of years, is just wrong. I'd rather people adopt kids already who need a better life. It's not that simple, goat.
