  1. Cool, I'll check it out tomorrow. Have you tried Angizia yet Intriguing? Not sure if I recommended them to you. If not they're a german classical band with a hint of black metal, and are just incredible. Takes a bit to "get" them but when you do... You might also like Cyco's recomendation (aarni).
  2. I'll be honest, I didn't think I was that helpful. :P Funniest - Zonorhc. This was a hard choice. Most Helpful - Blade995, OldJoe, a lot of the T&C regulars really. They know their stuff. :P Most Honest - How2Pk. He always seems like someone who doesn't need to lie =P Most Argumentative - Insane always seems to enjoy debating just for the sake of debating :D. Best Over-All - You know who you are /salute.
  3. I really enjoyed Crysis when I got around to playing it a month or two ago. Ran at a nice 35FPS for the most part on my rig, except for the last fight which was like 20. This was on all highs, and on a rig that cost me $800. Also 1680x1050 resolution.
  4. If you like some experimental stuff maybe try aarni Cyco. Some really trippy Doom metal (if you could classify it).
  5. Everyone seems to have answered him, I thought I'd point out this one though: Oblivion is (still) a very demanding game. Now, as far as your card goes the 8200 series is intended for serious budget play, and really aren't meant to play the newest or best games. Likewise you then have the "M" series which is mobile, and they are usually a little less powerful than their PC brother. The people getting 30fps on Oblivion might be running 7900's or something like that. You have to know that the first number in the series doesn't mean that much. A 7900GS is more powerful than an 8200M by a long shot, and a 7900GT even comes "close" to a 8600GT. For graphic cards which are good for gaming you want to pay attention to the last 3 digits. If they are "600" than it is considered a budget gaming card. Still good, mind you, but budget. If they are "800" then it is their gaming series card. Any other series (200,300, ect.) are very low budget cards intended for basic processes. Anyways I would turn down the graphics for oblivion. There also are mods online for oblivion that help tweak the game to make it run smoother, you may want to check out some of them.
  6. I feel for yah man. My internet went down for 2 days (Saturday afternoon and Sunday) and I was going crazy =P. Ended up playing through Half life (1) on Sunday start to finish.

I prefer to take my games sans rootkits and un-deletable files, but thats just me. We aren't the only ones.

It doesn't really bother me. That being said I got my hair cut quite short a while ago, it's just so much easier. Plus I do think it looks better.

Yeah FFIV is a great remake. I haven't finished it though.

NDS here, but I think you guys already know that. That being said the PSP can certainly run more powerful homebrew, but I really enjoy the NDS because it can have more unique homebrew with the touch screen. Oh, and the games are great (and a small size too, so I can fit a ton of games on one 2GB MicroSD card).
  11. Meh, whatever man. Do what you want really, I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything and have been staying silent on purpose. If someone has a question I can answer it but otherwise I'll be too busy playing the game. Oh and turns out I'm playing on Sylvanias (core). Can't wait for tomorrow.
  12. The main thing is that you can't (and never really) can balance for 1v1. With WAR this works well because pretty much none of the PvP is going to be a 1v1. It works really well.
  13. They've got it pretty well balanced so far. Classes all have definite rolls to do. Tanks can taunt enemy players (putting a debuff on them where they take 30% more dmg from you until you get hit 3 times) and tanks can protect other players by taking 35% of their damage. The healers all have a roll other than just healing (debuffing, damage, ect.) Pretty much I don't think I can really call any class "OP" now, even though it's hard to tell. Of course an MMO is a lot harder to balance than an FPS though, but Mythic is doing good.
  14. I can hear the whip crackin' already. :) Bye.
  15. Actually, yeah, that is a pretty damn decent deal there for $900. Especially to get rid of the problem of having to build it yourself.
  16. Stephen and the Colberts- Charlene. Don't ask.

The main storyline is pretty damn good (at least for Main/Factions, didn't play Nightfall) but I found the games PvP lacking if you didn't have a good guild. Plus it's very much an entirely instanced game, which takes away a lot of the feeling of an MMORPG away from the game.
  18. [cabbage], I'm going black orc on release. Just played one today, got to level 6 on the new Open RvR server. Was rolling with a Chosen/Disciple of Khaine/Zealot and we were going 40K 0 D in the scenerios. Right now we have quite a number of people rolling with us. The general idea atm is: 1x Black Orc (me) 2x Zealot 1x Chosen 2x Disciple of Khaine 1x Shaman 1x Marauder (maybe) and some other people who we're not sure about yet. It's going to be great, as a well orginized team WILL win. Even with 4 (hell, 3 after the zealot logged) we were able to sway the tides and win all but 1 of our scenarios out of, like, 10. I haven't had so much fun in PvP in a long time. Plus, the game is [bleep]ing stable as hell, has very few bugs and most importantly is fun!

The green bar is uneeded IMO.
  20. I agree, don't drop the salt. [cabbage]'s bad luck.
  21. Heh, I don't really like Kotaku's layout. Plus Joystiq/DSFanboy/Massively are all the same blogsphere. :D And something awful? tisk tisk. :shame: (I lurk there whenever I'm working in the summer)

    1) I really like the Silhouette on this one, it's interesting. Great focal with the bird in the front and then the out of depth bird in the back. 2) That thing is a school? It looks like a really unique building.
