  1. Yeah I wish I had my adblock. Other than that this is really nice...
  2. Trying it out now, I have to say it's pretty damn fast for a beta. the UI isn't bad, I'm going to find if I can change the colors though to match my desktop.
  3. It sounds awesome, I'll def be trying it out.

Aside from what Jopie has said it's really [bleep]ing bright. Like blinding.

He was a highly infuential pixel artist who retired in 07 to play WoW. He was most active on RSC I believe, and inspired many new pixel artists, and influenced the work of the others. Was he on TIF at all? I don't remember him.
  6. http://www.bakaneko.com/howto/figure/an ... index.html Yeah yeah anatomy, but that's the only real problem I have with this. Plus his head is twisted weird. Even if you want to do a cartoony style it's still better to know some basic anatomy. :P Oh and, eh, hi axe.

Can't you notice my signature? I will respond in a flamy way because YOU started. What you expect, you flame someone and not be flamed back? I typed it on purpose, to see if people would notice. Which they did. Ffs people like you annoy me, flaming just like that -_-. I will ignore you because (1) it will only waste my time, (2) in real life you look a lot lamer than me (I work out = my arms are toned/defined, I use proactiv, I'm 1st generation european descent, I'm tall (not the kind of tall where perosn is super tall yet super skinny with longhair and looks pathetic), black hair, brown eyes).. If this was real life, you wouldn't come close to saying that -_- 1 word: idiot You wrote a lot more than 1 word there. Typical Runescape child ;) And, oh, the topic? Stalking is pretty.... weird. Well, ok, very weird. The one thing that is good about the social networks (like facebook) is that it's easy to find family members or old friends on there. Pretty cool, actually. But stalking a person you don't know is just creepy as [bleep] man. It's just getting good 8-)
  8. Man, some of the stages have made me pull my hair out. I'm going kind of slow with it, I have like ~20ish stages done. Also the fact that you can download and play user made maps (and post your score online!) is pretty sweet. Hell, the map editor isn't half bad either. Also I find it funny that the DS game looks better than the PC version.
  9. I'll be honest and say that I found paper mario a more unique game, I kind of liked it better. And this doesn't have anything to do with me being a kid, I'm 20 years old and have been playing games since I was 2 or 3 :D .
  10. I've been back for a week. In all honesty it's better than the summer because I don't have to work 40 hours a week.
  11. They'll be the same price.
  12. Thanks. I was thinking of redoing it with poly modeling and paying more attention to making sure it has some clean lines. Like I said I wasn't really following any kind of procedure here, I just started with the hood and went from there.
  13. I assume you will be able to. Not sure for certain though.
  14. I can't even remember which one it was, it was one about how to do a hood. What would you recommend for a car? I probably could retry it with a better method.
  15. Yeah it is too steep, I'll need to fix that. I'm not sure how much further I can get with this lol. I think I've screwed up somewhere along the way, so idk. It's good experience either way.
  16. UPDATE: I think I have the basic outershell about done now... Not sure how well I'll be able to do the details, it's got some screwy points and stuff atm even with a meshsmooth.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U. ... population 47: Alaska Just because it's a large landmass doesn't mean anything dude. In terms of population it's one of the smallest. Sources?

The only thing she has been in charge of is Alaska.... Yeah, certainly a lot of experience there :? . Yeah I don't think McCain could have chosen a worse running mate. What is even worse is that, if he wins, there is a decent chance (with how old he is) that she could very well become a president. It's just a scary thought.
  19. So I've been working on a car render. Currently I'm using Quad Meshes as my method for creating it, and I think it's working out well. Currently my biggest issue is to get the transition for the front windshield better and to finish off the rest of the body of the car, basics at least. This is just an SS without the blueprints or anything. I think my points are probably a bit screwy, nothing I can't fix though. This is the car I'm doing, or at least following the blueprints from. I also should note that while I learned the technique of what I'm doing from a tutorial (kind of, lol) I'm mostly just kind of trying to do this on my own without following a tutorial. Even if I do fail (which I may) this should really help me with modeling other objects. That is, if I can use this kind of technique for other objects as well. :P
  20. With the exception of Halo all of those are very good and well made games. And, at that, all have well crafted single player portions as well. And anyways a multiplayer-centric game isn't a bad thing. I have a few problems with this statement. 1) A lot has changed over the years in gaming, and I'm not talking about graphical power gets higher. My point is that with the exception of a few classics that have aged well a lot of older games are not that great by today's standards. Recently I've been bored and have taken up playing older emulators. I have 800 SNES roms, 1000 NES roms and something like 30 N64 roms. Out of those I could maybe name 10-15 from the collection of SNES games that are still playable and enjoyable today, and probably even less for the NES roms. Even the N64 has games that, while popular back in the day, have committed so many "game design sins" that they're just horrible. Now I am not talking about the good, high quality games on those systems. Please keep note of this. However too often people like you seem to have this ignorant idea that only old games are worth playing when gaming, game design principles and so much more has improved and evolved over the ages. Some games are timeless classics, but most aren't worth for much more other than a quick revisit for nostalgia's sake. 2) Graphics. This is one of the things that I hear a lot that I hate. Why? Because these "old school" gamers seem to think that anything visual in a game is not a big deal, and that they have no real effect on the game. I'm sorry but if everyone thought like that we would still be playing text adventure games. Video games are inherintly visual in nature, it's one of the differences between them and other mediums. Now the thing that I need to make clear is that how high tech a game is doesn't matter (to an extent). I find some old games such as the old street fighters, or Zelda III or even a couple of N64 games to be much better looking than some of the games put out today. Artistic merit is what matters in a game, and the true test isn't how good it looked when it came out but how good it looks no matter what the date is. As hardware becomes more and more powerful we've seen a jump in much more artistic, stylish games instead of raw powerhouses. Of course that isn't to say that more power is a bad thing. Crysis did a wonderful job of mixing a wonderful graphics engine with some damn great artwork, and of course as the power of computers and gaming technologies improves so does what we can do with it. 10 years ago we wouldn't be able to have large scale fights in an FPS or an MMORPG and we wouldn't be able to do a lot of what is possible now. TL;DR what I'm trying to say is that I find it ignorant to call anyone who cares about a games artistic and visual merit "shallow". While I may try and play a game that looks like [wagon] too many times it just looks downright horrible. There is no excuse not to have a good looking game when you can look at games even like Super Mario Bros 1 and realize that visually it is still a good looking game. Sorry that was longer than it meant to be. Anyways, back to a bit more of on the topic I don't think this is really going to get anywhere unless it manages to catch nintendos attention.
  21. Autechre- Eutow Recommendation from Daan :P
  22. I don't see what the point is. Just download the damn rom and play it on your PC. Hell, get a controller for it and it'll be the same (and better) than playing on a virtual console. Oh well, I'm sure they'll have fun.
  23. Awesome, I'm downloading it right now. :P
  24. More people need to get on. :P
  25. I do agree with entangle though, 3D abstracts are really boring to make and easy to boot.
