  4. Gotta remember a lot of us in OT don't play runescape anymore. :P
  5. Why don't you stop being an arrogant techie. My suggestions where at least sensible and realistic. So I suggest you stop telling others what to do before you get into trouble. Cruiser is 100% correct, guessing at the problem can just cause problems. Now in a case like this -- no, probably not. However its better to just not speak if you don't know. Anyways it seems like sniper has hit the nail on the head.
  6. MegaDriver- Frog's Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnrkrSL1jLI It's a metal version of Frog's theme from Chrono Trigger, [bleep]in amazing.

  8. And I'm the 4th. Wow like wow, I wouldn't of ever guessed that to be you. I thought you'd be a lot older looking. My whole impression of you is now shattered, 2 years of a mystique of you, building up in my head and now blown to bits. Not that its a bad thing or anything, I'm just really surprised. Hah, lol. Yeah I'm not that old looking. My facial hair helps a bit but in that picture I have my hand over it. Nice to think that everyone thought I was older looking though, haha. :P
  9. It doesn't really work that way, no. The best way to describe it is that it is literally like having two processors both working at that speed. So, for example a 2.6ghz dual core is like having two 2.6ghz processors. The upside to this, of course, is a few things. First of all it gives you greater multi tasking use -- since both cores can help work with different programs. Also pretty much any new game will take advantage of both cores, using them for different processes usually. You might have one core work on enemy AI and such while another works on something different, it varies though. What you just need to know though really is that a 2.6ghz dual core processor would be much faster than any normal 2.6ghz processor, and even something like a 4ghz single core processor. One of the reasons is just that pretty much all new processors are at least dual core (or quad core) so they have better hardware. Processors speed isn't just based off of their flat out "ghz" speed but many other variables as well. Hope that helps, I think I got the idea right. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  10. I also remember my first game I got that was pretty much 'brand new' -- Half life. It may be why I love the series to death, but I got it when it came out around 1998. Up until then I mostly had gotten games that were older and, thus, cheaper and never really got 'new' games. I still loved video games to death and played tons of them -- they were just always like 6 months - year behind. This game I remember I got for christmas. I remember too Team fortress classic was the first game I really played online, on our dial-up. I did try playing Duke Nukem 3D years earlier online but it didn't work well. I than remember when we first got broadband, I think it was when I moved to Germany actually. I started getting into online gaming a lot more, and got back into runescape. (The first time I tried it was when it was maybe 3-6 months old, I played for a few weeks and quit because I sucked). I also played stuff like Diablo II and really got into games like Counter strike and firearms. I have to say that online play ever since then has been my favorite thing in gaming, and thats probably why I love MMORPG's so much. But yeah my roots were always in PC Gaming -- the old DOS days. I still remember being like 6-7 and figuring out some of the basic commands and stuff in DOS, like how to remove programs and such and just sort around it. I'm prob repeating myself but I just wanted to expand a bit on my first post. I also remember sitting on my parents bed and playing the NES. Our game system was in their room a lot of the time because it had the best TV, or something, and it stayed that way even when I got a sega saturn later on. It wasn't until the N64 that the game system was in my room (well, mine and my little brothers at the time) and we had a blast with that. Man, so many memories... so many memories. Its just amazing how far gaming has gone in the good 17-18 years or so I have been playing games. (I've been playing them ever since I was in diapers lol).

You really can't give a good opinion on it from playing it for a few days. High end old world raids used to take 40 people, now they take 25. It's still a lot of fun to raid with that many though. It's a lot more fun to play on a PvP server as well, IMO. Bassicly, Guild wars is (IMO) better for a quick fix (couple months maybe) while WoW is much better as a long term game. I had a lot of fun with Guild wars main campaign, and then PvPing with my guild for a bit -- don't get me wrong. However after those couple of months are over its pretty stale. For a $50 game though its well worth it, likewise WoW is well worth it. Thats probably the reason why its so impossible to compare the two because, honestly, they aren't the same. You can call Guild wars an MMO if you want but it just does not have the size and scope as an average MMO has.
  12. Lol what did you think I looked like? Like the third person to say that. :P
  13. Hah! I thought you were the rick on my MSN, lol. At least now this picture is proof =P.
  14. Going to be difficult since bubs is banned, lol. Also its funny looking at all these younger kid's pictures -- I always forget that there are like 13-15 year olds posting here too. :P
  15. Heh WoW forums were fun. I don't really visit there anymore (the endless cries of who is OP and not OP gets on my nerves) but there were some epic threads made.
  16. Your in college? you're as skinny as me XD if not more. your 18 right? Close, 19. And yeah I'm really skinny. :P
  17. Can't say I'm not surprised Zon.
  18. Had to take a picture anyways (Mom's been wanting me to take one for our Christmas card, wanted it to show my PC or whatever to show that I was at college. Didn't think I'd be the first to post.
  19. I meant like in the conventional sense, there aren't really any 'fight scenes' so to speak. :P And yay, more dubbed Death note. lol. [hide]Wait until Raito and L get chained together, there's a couple of short fight scenes there. :XD: [/hide][/hide] [hide]Yeah I know that :D They're like 2 minutes long though lol.[/hide]
  20. I meant like in the conventional sense, there aren't really any 'fight scenes' so to speak. :P And yay, more dubbed Death note. lol.
  21. I'll tell you upfront it isn't really an 'action packed' anime. However it is very brilliant and its really tense as well.
  22. Meh, I have a lot of friends at school who don't play real guitar yet bash Guitar Hero because they think it's a silly game. I quote, "Why would play a game when you could do the real thing?" to which I reply with my FPS analogy. I'm sorry if it's a little extreme but it shuts them up and I guess I've gotten so used to saying it. A better analogy would be sports games. Like for example, skateboarding games. I'm sure a lot of people play those who won't ever want to try and actually skateboard. It takes a lot of practice and skills to actually do it.
  23. I'd talk about something else but I still haven't got the faintest idea what he actually changed.
  24. ^ Bleach is still going on? Thought that show ended lol. Anyways I'd suggest Death note for a first one Lionheart. Really brilliant anime, only problem is it'll probably really set your standard high for animes after it.
  25. A DEFINITION IS NOT AN OPINION, IT IS A FACT. IT IS A FACT THAT RAP IS CLASSIFIED UNDER MUSIC, IF YOU ENJOY IT OR NOT Jesus Christ, maybe caps will get your tiny brain to understand. There is nothing that is an opinion about this.
