Yeah, definitely. Out of these the most important (IMO) are Color theory and Composition. Without these you really don't have much to fall back on.

I'll be honest and say that anything I've ever seen him say has always been right. Even if it was, indeed, flaming he spoke the truth. Oh well, I know he won't be bothering trying to appeal. Yeah you're pretty much SOL if you can't install anything, seriously. I'm going to go on a limb and say its your parents machine. Why can't you just install something like Ad aware, run it so you can get rid of whatever adware is on your machine, and then uninstall the program?

Why did you post two games on the 360 side as 'great games' that are also available on the PS3? If you're going to be biased at least try and hide it, damn. At any rate we have a huge thread for PS3, Wii or 360 and I'm sure another one somewhere about PS3 vs 360 and, well, this kind of topic is just old and all it results in are a bunch of fanboys hurling insults against each other. (most of the time which are simply un-true). And, just so you know, I do currently support the 360 more than the PS3. However I can't stand blatent fanboyism like this

Funny enough nothing yet. My family decided to do a big 'family gift' this year. While my parents will probably still get us some other gifts as well our gifts for everyone was a nice 45' or so LCD TV in the basement. :P

My point was, by the way, that while these little things are clearly so nerdy, playing a little java MMORPG and visiting a forums about it (while also caring enough to show a stats signature with your progress in your signature [wasn't that something that was nerdy?]) is supposedly not, according to you. Isn't that a tad hypocritical?

"Killing" something that can not or has never felt or thought before really is not murder. Yes, it has the potential to become a child, but its the same thing roughly as if someone is wearing a condom. Think about it, the condom is destroying the potential of a child as well, and acording to a lot of you that would be the same thing. The fact is, aborting after the period where a fetus starts to feel is murder, aborting before that period is not. It's a fairly clear line to draw. And why is it that everyone too is automatically assuming that if you use protection = you won't have a kid. Yeah, most likely you won't but as I said before, accidents happen.

Yeah seriously. You ever hear of something called an 'accident' or a 'broken condom'? Accidents happen to those who do try and be careful, and they shouldn't be penalized on the small chance of that happening. Also, time and time again until a certain stage (I forget when, its here in the thread somewhere) a fetus has no actual means of thinking or feeling harm at all, I.E aborting it is just as much of 'wasting a life' as masterbation is.

Man, I agree so much. @ Gehackte: This is color theory. Usually after a bit your eyes just get used to good color usage, but it's heavily recommended you read that. Right now the color scheme you have is, well, 'ouch'. Not sure where you're really going with it so I'll hold off from other comments.

Usually music helps motivate me artistically. The funny thing is I don't think there are any specific bands really that help. I've done pieces inspired by some black metal (Burzum, my journey to the stars) and I've been inspired even by lighter stuff and, well, about anything. It also can get me hyped up for PvP in various games (usually WoW now, used to be Lineage II). There is just something about listening to a band like Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse or Necrophagist while in PvP that is just awesome. My favorite thing is whenever the music you are playing fits along perfectly with what you are doing. I was listening to a song that started off fairly slow (IIRC it was "The light that blinds" by Shadows fall) and the entire slow part was me, in stealth, moving to my target. The second I attacked the music started blaring into the fast part. So cool.

Wow didn't know people still used 98. Anyways, does it always redirect to the same page? Likewise -- how are you posting here now, another PC? Anyways can you take a screenshot of where it redirects you to and post it?

If there is anything you should learn out of this, thargor, is that paragraphs are a wonderful tool. Use them -- please. Its hard enough having to read through all this self pity without my eyes starting to bleed in the process.

I'm fairly sure (or hoping, at least) that #4 will inovate a bit now that it has rock band to compete against. Hmm.. songs I would want: An endless sporadic - Sun of Perl (I love impulse on #3, and this song is awesome too) Rhapsody- Fire of the Dragon (IIRC thats it, its a 19 minute epic haha). Dream theater- Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (Because I want to see someone try and 100% a 42 minute song. :lol: ) Dream Theater- in the pressence of enemies Dream theater- A change of seasons (same reason for these two, I wanna see a 24min song on it and these just kick [wagon]). Necrophagist- Fermented Offal Discharge (so fast). So many more, but I forget because this PC doesn't have my playlist on it :D.

C4D = Lazy way to say "3d abstract render". Its not a bad sig, but the left side just kills it.

So, I'm not going to lie -- shadowstep looks damn sexy in PvP videos. Case in point. This guys only 64, but he's rocking level 70's. The best thing is just the style in that video, I love all of the "jump off the ledge, shadowstep in for the kill" stuff -- its so cool. Nothing else to do until my PC gets here so I'm watching PvP vids lol.

Cruiser has the right idea. As far as a laptop, looking through that list I think THIS one looks the best. Yeah, its also right at your limit (1499) but the specs are great. Pretty much will run any game on the market currently.

The game was in alpha like 5 years ago too. :wall:

I thought muse was more of a prog rock band, or am I really off track here? Its a pretty cool band though, haven't listened to much of their material.
