  1. Dinged 40 last night, and got my mount. Surprisingly enough I still have 50g left over (plus the 4 netherweave bags I had gotten). Right now I'm aiming to hit 60 by the end of my Christmas break, which is in January.
  2. Hah yeah. Violence? Chopping off all sort of limbs, excessive blood and torturing in a game? Meh -- thats nothing. But my god, show a nipple and that [cabbage] is AO right there!
  3. No, it doesn't. But in your case it does -- it is bad. Take terly's advice.
  4. You can't even spend $150-200 bucks on a new machine? I'm amazed TBH that you are doing anything on that machine, thats something from the early 90's lol.
  5. Best: Internet was back up today, and most of the ice from the ice storm has melted. Worst: Found out I need a 93 on my final exam in "Intro to graphics" to pass the class. Needless to say I am studying my [wagon] off for tomorrow (The exam).
  6. Also another idea: What if you allowed your music to be downloaded, for free, online. However on your website set up ad's and such so that you are still making money from it. Just show a different ad on each download page, that would still make money and you could still sell CD's and such to those just wanting a compilation. Just trying to think outside the box here.
  7. Not to sound rude but you're only harping on one, tiny instance of the internet -- file sharing. The fact is is that to simply shun the entire internet because of this one aspect is, well, wrong. As far as file sharing goes, I don't think it has 'destroyed' the music scene. One thing it has done is it has forced several music labels and bands to rethink their strategy on how to make money. You can still depend on people buying your CD or music online, its just that there is a minority out there who will download it anyways. Half of the time anyways those who download your music wouldn't have bought it anyways, there are fewer people I think that would have actually bought it if it was not available online to download. There are some methods to actually combat this. One is to rethink your strategy. Maybe try and, instead, score deals as well with companies such as Rhapsody who offer a large library of music for a monthly fee. Try and emphasize concerts and such, or extra stuff (shirts, stuff you can't pirate) to sell. Even if your music sales take a bit of a hit if you still emphasize other markets as well it won't be that large of a loss. I can understand how it feels for an indy music developer as yourself to try and get your foot in the door, but just try and score some deals with various places. I know you're more of an electronica music person so maybe try and see if any DJ's or something around would buy your music to play in them, or something like that. I dunno, just trying to think a bit out of the box for this thing. The music industry is still trying to figure out what exactly to do to combat this and it is a bit difficult. As far as the rest of the internet, of course I would miss it! It would be so much more difficult to do stuff such as just general work and, hell, part of my hobby really relies on the use of the internet (art, so I'm constantly looking for stock photography and stuff). Anyways I just don't think you should shun the entire internet because of file sharing alone.

Can't say I'm not normally a fan of stuff like this, but I'll be honest: it looks quite clean and gets its point across.
  9. ehh you didn't do much. Just an image you erased a bit of and some text... :uhh: All the white is incredibly boring.
  10. I'd recommend WoW. The largest community out of any MMORPG (plenty of grouping to go around) and its a good game at its own right. Plus, Blizzard is a great company that doesn't screw with their customers like some seem to do. I'd say you could try LoTRO too but, I'll be honest, It's mostly a WoW clone at face value from what I have seen and just doesn't have the community or features that WoW does. Likewise if you're looking for an f2p game I would recommend Anarchy Online, although it is a bit old.
  11. You have the complete opposite idea about WoW, it is the most solo-friendly game on the market. That being said there are many reasons to group but you really don't need to if you don't want to. The biggest thing is becomes a much more group-oriented game at 70 if you want to raid. LOTRO I have not heard much about its crafting, I assume it isn't that great. Anyways, my suggestions: World of Warcraft: Just the obvious I'm pointing out here. Large communtiy, a lot of quests and a lot to do. There are tradeskills in the game but be warned -- they aren't that involved. Of course with that being said they are much more involved than anything runescape has in tradeskills, so you can keep that in mind. Everquest II: This game is a lot like WoW, I'll put that out there. While you'll need a better rig to run this game is has a lot of simulairties, with a couple differences - - Most dungeons are not instanced, save for raid zones. - The tradeskilling in this game is much more advanced, and much more involving. If someone is really interested in tradeskilling I would strongly recommend this game. While I never actually did do much tradeskill, I did a bit and it has a lot to it that someone would enjoy. - The community, sadly, is smaller. I really haven't had a chance to recently see how large the games community is but sadly it just doesn't even stand a chance against WoW. Most of the players in game as well are generally at the max level or close to it, there are few lower level players aside from some alts here or there. - Adding onto that note, the game is a bit more group oriented. While you can still solo through up to the max level its a bit tougher at points than in WoW, leveling also takes longer as well. Those are really the only two games I've (had experience in) that has really had tradeskilling. Anarchy Online does as well but the community is small and its just not as much fun now as these other two. Comparison wise I have played Everquest II for about a total of 4-5 months while I probably have collectively played WoW for about... 7 maybe 8 months. What would I go for? Personally I would be leaning torwards WoW (its why I am playing now) just because EQII does not have a large community now. Let me tell you, however, is that if EQ II had the community a size of WoW's it would be a bit more of a difficult decision for me.
  12. I'm making fun of all the kids on MMORPG that are 'so suprised' that jagex would do something like that. bwahahaha. On a better note I should be 40 today....
  13. ^ Haha. Kind of what I expected indy. :P
  14. Theif! :P I'm lvl 39 now, one more level for my mount lol. Can't wait to get it so I don't have to run every where.
  15. Heh I never did just do landscapes. I did have a period where i did mostly them, but I always did a lot of styles at once. (space, abstract, landscape, ect.) Thanks. :P
  16. Hehehe :D Here's a pic of me and Matt in London, with another of our ex-RSer friends, from... wow, almost two years ago now! Last last january. [snip] I don't think he'll mind, since he posted a pic already, but let me know if you do, and I'll remove it :D Man, wish I lived in Europe so I could talk with all the kewl people. :D
  17. hehe. I agree with merc, mad -- Nice pictures. :P
  18. I'm going to college for graphic communications. :P (Digital art). And yeah I dunno why I look so young, lol. I swear I'm 19.

Not really a big fan of either, most of the attention is just focused towards the image you put in them and not much care was given to the background.
  21. Well mine were impacted wisdom teeth (they couldn't get through) so that may be the biggest difference. Usually the people I know who get them out get them out because they are impacted. Maybe you just got them out for a different reason?
  22. How long did it take for the holes to heal? Couple weeks maybe once I got the stitches out, it wasn't really that long.

I heard that the story isn't directly linked to #1? Doesn't make that much sense though, but its what I heard. I hope the new studio that is developing really lives up to the game, the first was great.
  24. You honestly have to be a rare exception ray, everyone I knows really can't eat solid food for a while. Anyways I got mine taken out something like... 5 months ago. I was just put to sleep so it seemed like it hardly took any time. My mouth never hurt that bad (Never used anything like vicoden, got lucky so I just used asprin and stuff a lot) but I couldn't eat solid foods for a while. Needless to say eating was a bit annoying, and then afterwards you have to be careful to not let food get stuck in the holes.
  25. Agreed. Also if you're in the market for one the E6600's (IIRC) are great. Only $150 or so and its a 1.8ghz Dual core processor, and you can really overclock it well.
