  1. Science class is there to teach science -- simple as. And you clearly stated that it was a theory, especially considering you don't 'believe' in it. Evolution has no bias behind it, as does any other scientific discovery.
  2. Yeah I probably went a little overboard sharpening the 3D render, ah well. Thanks guys.
  3. Seriously? You would not mind for hundreds of thousands (IIRC millions maybe) of hard working individuals to be without a job just because you think that we shouldn't eat meat? Wow. As far as your other comments, what about other omnivore animals? Should they not eat meat too just because 'they can eat plants'?
  4. Pre 40 preists are a bit annoying to level, after 40 (when they get shadowform) they kick [wagon] though.
  5. Yep,but we don't go to the extent of making a thread about it,like rayoxide. -----> My point --------> your head.
  6. I hate emo music. Most of it just influences the ideal that you should hurt yourself, and is a negative influence on children today. Plus, it sounds bad.
  7. Considering that the origional post was pretty much stating that teachers should not teach bias, and then someone popped in saying that evolution should not be taught because of the bias as well. It's within the topic still. He was trying to say that evolution should be taught because it doesn't contain bias, considering it is a fact. Funny, I know you wouldn't have responded to Blue that way if it was about any other topic that happened to go off topic, Bari.
  8. Rocko's was probably my favorite show for a while. I didn't really get the message they were sending out, but it was funny.
  9. Oh my. #-o I guess teaching how the universe and the earth formed is a bias and shouldn't be taught either, right? Or perhaps anything that happened before 6,000 years ago -- obviously it goes against religion and is a bias as well. They can teach as long as the acknowledge it as a theory and that there are others, because there is still a large majority of people who hold to the creation belief and religious debate is never a good thing. I assume you just skipped over BlueLancer's post, right? Evolution is as much of a theory as Gravity or atoms are a theory.
  10. Good for them. I'm not selling this, I'm not going to use it either. If they really want to steal something so petty so be it. Thanks.
  11. Man classic Nick was the best, it was pretty much my entertainment during my kid years. :P All of those show's I remember. I used to love Rocko's Modern Life and Are you afraid of the dark, and of course Ren and Stimpy. What's really funny is the obscene amount of innuendo all of the old nick toons had. Seriously, just try and watch a Rocko's or Ren and Stimpy episode these days, you'll be amazed at what you missed. As far as more modern shows go Hey Arnold was pretty good, and for a much (ish) more recent one spongebob squarepants was still pretty funny to me, even now.
  12. I'm fine with athiests having debates about religion with theists, providing they both want to debate it. There are several athiests I know, such as my brother, who constantly listen to podcasts on philosophy and bashing religion, and he constantly debates with me and my mother about our beliefs, fair enough, but he continues debating even after the point where we tell him to bugger off because he's annoying us (He's 17). I think the reason the debates don't go anywhere is that we're both too stubborn with our views. But oh well, I'm fine with athiesm as a whole, just certain athiests really grind my gears. Oh I agree fully, people who just pick out fights (on both sides of the fence) are rather annoying. However obviously if you're posting in a thread which is bound to have debates that is pretty much opening yourself up to question, if you kind of get what I'm saying.
  13. I have to back up warrior on this one, we aren't necessarily trying to get you to change your views. However, a lot of us enjoy a good debate/conversation over the matter -- this being a forums and all. It's good to question things, you learn a lot during the process. I hope you don't get the idea that I run up to people in real life and question them about their religion, I don't. I have a friend who is quite religious and I don't question her. If it makes her happy thats good, I save the debate and any possibly controversy for a forums. :P
  14. The internet has been down for like the past hour and a half, and other than playing some guitar hero I did a new sig out of boredom. It's another "C4D" signature (*ahem* 3D render). Because I'm nice I figured I would share the .PSD, maybe it will give some insights on how I do things. .PSD Download Anyways I kind of like this one. It's a bit contrasted like most of my C4D signatures, but I like the colors of it and the flow. Your thoughts?
  15. Yeah I have. We have a radio that is usually on in the dorm bathroom and I heard it on there. At first I was like "ah sweet, this song!" but that slowly turned into disgust.

    Bye.
  17. Yeah the squares have agrivated the hell out of me for a while now too in your signatures, they don't really help and it looks pretty lame and filter-y. It's not a bad signature. The text is a bit difficult to read and the brushing could be better, but its ok. If I was rating I'd give it a 6.5/10.
  18. Oh my. #-o I guess teaching how the universe and the earth formed is a bias and shouldn't be taught either, right? Or perhaps anything that happened before 6,000 years ago -- obviously it goes against religion and is a bias as well. You make it sound like the people in the military are the same people who are constantly studying evolution and other scientific studies. Finding out where we came from has pretty much been what man has tried doing for thousands of years. Why do you think religion is around? Because man, in general, wants to know how everything started -- its natural human curiosity. This is probably the best thing animal activists always say in defense of what they do. Now, lets assume that -- yes, no one buys fur coats or meat products anymore. What happens? A few things: First, overpopulation. Animals will easily start to over populate the world because they aren't being steadily killed off. Second, many, many people will be out of a job. Imagine -- anyone who works with meat and/or the fur trade for a living is now simply SOL because of this. Farmers (IMO) would make less money than they currently do because all they will have to rely on is their crops. Third, it's already been stated but you know all the stuff that is currently causing global warming? Well, now imagine this process going a lot faster with all of the extra methane being produced from animals. What would start as an eco-friendly idea will soon turn against the environment for us. Good job. Of course this is all on that big, and I mean big, assumption that you could get everyone (or a majority) of people in the world to stop eating meat or using animal products. It's impossible to do so and, as you can see above, a waste of time.
  19. No need to be an [wagon], you knew what he meant. Anyways I'm not getting into this one again.
  20. This reminds me of a certain stand up I've seen before. Ralphy May's Prime cut (IIRC). Anyways probably not good to post it here, but anyone who's seen it should know the part I'm talking about. (the best gift of all). :P
  21. It just takes a bit of practice. I used to suck on medium too -- but now I can do great on expert. (all within a 4 month period or so really.)
  22. You're right on track to spreading a rumor yourself (about them lying). Eh, R.I.P.
  23. So it was Kayne wests who butchered that song?
  24. Just clearing it up but it wasn't an explosion par-say, it just marked the period in which the universe started expanding outward.
  25. A finger on each color, it's not that difficult. :)
