  1. I think you've failed to accept that Jagex has abandoned any sort of intellectual, mature storyline in Runescape. They have made every quest in this game with some sort of stupid joke, pun, or kiddie style to it. Didn't you know Jagex hires their development team from local Kids R' Us? Someone needs a nap.
  2. Stupid thread. Capes are situational. A fire cape and a skill cape are not the be-all end-all of capes.
  3. /v/ doesn't get too many Runescape threads, and when they do it's generally a more nostalgia oriented discussion rather than a "join this now" topic. From what I've seen of /b/ (I don't venture that far down the rabit hole), they would do less than they are given credit for. /b/ doesn't randomly stage large-scale attacks on sites; they need some sort of motivation to do so. Runescape threads in /b/ are full of "'lol I sold my account years ago," things of that nature. Sometimes people post CC names that fill up VERY fast.
  4. I'm a depressed, elitist sociopath, I suppose. I lol'd at the different stereotypes, though, and I started reading it in a British accent when you mentioned it.
  5. To go further off-topic, I've found no real use for my diamond ring (i). It's a barbarian ring without the defense. Would be good for pking, though, I suppose.
  6. Twitter Q&A? "Player 1: Are we going to meet Bilrach in the course of our Dungeoneering experience? Paul: Anything's possible!" And that sums up every answer we'll see during that Q&A. Actually, Paul almost always gives good answers, so that's not really fair to him. If it were any other mod, however, I'd be very uninterested.
  7. Always use the best slayer master than you can.
  8. I would actually switch turmoil and overloads. I disagree. Turmoil is better than piety, but overloads are a LOT better than super potions. I would do Max Melees > Extremes > Turmoil > Overloads He left out extremes =P Ahhh, now I agree with you.

  10. Use this as a template and adjust according to your financial situation and such. Hopefully Blood Riolu or Bladewing will see this thread, as they can elaborate more on what you can do. You should edit your first post with all of your available equipment and levels.

You really shouldn't have sold it. It's not going to go down any time soon. Not until (and if) Jagex changes the price or makes collecting tokkul easier. I don't see either being likely in the near future.
  12. Wolpertingers work fine for CT fiends. It's obviously not going to be on par with an iron titan, but it's effective and faster than ancient caverns.
  13. Fury is worth it 100% of the time. Gotta agree with Bacon on this one. I would never sell my fury. They're just gonna keep going up.
  14. This is how I feel, too. I really miss the BTS. I don't care if they felt pressured. I'll probably calm down and feel a bit better when the second batch of Dungeoneering content comes out, but until then I'm gonna be the little kid in the backseat screaming "are we there yet?" every two minutes.
  15. Get stronger. This.

    Lol revenants.
  17. Congratulations. I particularly like that I'm in the second picture.
  18. I really don't see how there's an argument here. The increased stats might prevent a little damage, yes, but there's a HUGE difference between a 30% reduction and a POSSIBLE 10% reduction. That's a much bigger difference than MAYBE avoiding an extra hit or two in the course of a fight. Bosses and PVP are the only situations in which shields are applicable (barring dragons and wyverns), and the Divine wins EVERY TIME. There's no testing needed. There's no possible way to dispute the fact that a CONSTANT THIRTY PERCENT REDUCTION will ALWAYS trump a CHANCE at a TEN PERCENT REDUCTION. I mean, Jesus Christ, how is this even debatable? The only situation I can think of in which a chaotic shield MIGHT be better is barrows. Are the chaotic shields more accessible? For most people, yes. Are they better? No, absolutely not. Arguing over costs is a completely null point. These are the best shields in the game. People WILL use them regardless of how much they cost to maintain. Everyone in this thread should search for Divine Spirit Shield Analysis on the RSOF for a mathematical rundown of how the Divine Spirit Shield works and how much it costs to maintain. It is undeniably and irrefutably the best shield in the game.
  19. I'm no PVP expert, but from what I understand, a fully equipped mage can take down any ranger or warrior. It's no longer true that magic has no KO potential. Ranged is arguably a little bit underpowered compared to the other two classes, but I think the triangle is the most balanced it's been in years.
  20. People pay more for lesser specs. It's a pretty good deal.
  21. Obtaurian replied to 3PointMan's topic in Help and Advice
There's a pretty significant difference between Piety and Turmoil, but the biggest upside to Turmoil is that you have access to the other curses, too, IMO.
  22. Very good rewards for this quest. Kinda sad that I'll never have to use my lunar staffs again. Gonna finish it when I get the chance.
  23. Back in my day, Runescape sucked. It's much better now.
  24. You're going to hit. If you hit with a godsword (and you do), you're going to hit with the maul.
  25. LOL COOL STORY BRO HEY BTW DO U PLAY R00NSCAPE?
