  1. That didn't last long. Ah well, only one of us can be pro.
  2. No. 1) Despite what people keep preaching there is NO evidence that Guthix did not known about Zaros. Guthix went to sleep after he populated the world, and it is known or implied that most of the gods arrived before he went to sleep. 2) Dragonkin are NOT gods. They are creatures, very powerful creatures (much like the mahjaratt), who were brought to the world to protect the stone of Jas (recent quests suggest) but also seem to of gone a bit evil 3) Guthix DID NOT create the world. As clearly shown and explained in Meeting History Guthix came to the world that the Eldergods had created, he simply shaped it to his will (being nature god and all) and brought most of the intelligent races to it. Your first point is very wrong. In one of the God letters, a player asked Guthix who Zaros is, and he responded that he did not know, and that Zaros must have arrived while he was asleep.
  3. I think Lapalok/Duradel has assigned me more than 100 blacks. Then you've encountered a bug and you need to report it. Duradel/Lapalok has never assigned over 100 Black Dragons. I believe 60-70 is the max. Anyway, on-topic: This is exactly right.
  4. Teachers are horribly underpaid. Good for them for going on strike.
  5. The thing that makes me doubt this, is that under Zarosian rule, his forces built large and flourishing cities. A god who was based in bringing nothingness would seek to tear down and eliminate all life and civilization, thereby throwing the plane into nothingness. It just wouldn't make sense to build a city if you sought entropy and destruction. I have a feeling that his title "The Empty Lord" means that he is empty of emotion or compassion. It would seem to me that he is neither good nor evil but merely seeks to rule over all. He has no allegiance and therefore is the perfect agent of balance. I believe some may have seen him as a cruel or evil god because he had no concern for mortal life. Any who opposed him would be destroyed, simply for the fact that they did oppose his rule. He would side with neither good nor evil. Those who followed him would reap the benefits of his power and flourish while those who opposed him would be trampled beneath his feet. In this way his followers would see him a pillar of justice and order, and his opposition would see him as a dark force bent on destruction. One piece of evidence for this is that now it's all but assured that the power of the barrows brothers came from a Zarosian Mahjarrat. They were allowed to crusade in the name of Saradomin against the forces of Zamorak. However, after a time they were allowed to be killed ending the campaign and allowing Zamorak's forces to retake the ground they had lost. This suggests that he will side with whoever best suits his agenda, and will abandon them when they are no longer useful. The reason Juna would support his return is that, were he successful, he would destroy both sides and his rule, although cold and unfeeling, would be impartial. Balance need not be created by having equal power on the side of good and evil. True balance could be attained through the absolute destruction of both good and evil. In this way Zaros would be a destroyer god, but not the destroyer of gielinor, simply the destroyer of all opposing forces on gielinor. ya dig? Edit: Also entropy is the natural capacity of things to move from order to disorder. I'm pretty sure Zamorak is the entropy guy, not Zaros. I believe the truth can be found somewhere within and between both of these posts. Sorry for posting without contribution, but I felt like you two have said everything.
  6. I care in the sense that I get pissed off when an item I want rises 2m a day with no hope of stopping. <_< Other than that, I don't pay attention to prices. I try to abstain from using the GE when possible.
  7. Anyone notice that the Irons and Steels in the new dungeon are stronger than the ones in the Brimhaven dungeon? According to the knowledge base, anyway.
  8. I've seen a picture of one in there. It's dangerous, but he could do it.
  9. From what I understand, Zaros' banishing prompted Zamorak and Saradomin to fight over his kingdom and land, which was great and vast.
  10. Epic topic, and I literally lol'd at "I am Topic Creator, and for all intensive purposes, in the realm of this thread, I AM GOD." Congratulations, buddy.
  11. The only bad thing, for me, is that my Zamorakian spear is useless until I get 83 Herblore.
  12. Hahahahahahahaha.
  13. Mind = blown.
  14. I'm totally digging this update. I wouldn't care if Kuradel turned out to be worse experience than Shilo. Plus, I get to practice my Jad slaying.
  15. I would definitely suggest concentrated ores as soon as you hit 77. You'll run out of steam quickly if you spend hours powermining granite, where concentrated ores are practically AFK and give you a profit, which adds to your rune mining profit. I think that in the long run, concentrated ores will be better experience for you unless you're a machine.
  16. So for an average Joe like me, does this mean I'll be able to afford to level prayer any time soon? From what I gather, the bones crashed, though the GE doesn't reflect that (it never does, I suppose).
  17. It would have seemed a lot longer if you had tried it without a guide. This. I spent at least an hour on it, which is perfectly acceptable for a master quest.
  18. Starcraft is awesome and your stories are win.
  19. Yes it did. I'm not quite sure why everyone is having such a hard time understanding the text.
  20. Here I am slaying my [wagon] off and I've yet to see her. <_< Sounds very cool. Sounds like she may be part of a sequel to Smoking Kills, and have something to do with the large contraptions down in the desert slayer dungeon. Or, perhaps, a REAL slayers guild. I'm eagerly awaiting the slayer update, however small.
  21. Considering that the prayers most likely affect monsters in the same way they do players (with the exception that Turmoil treats high level monsters like maxed players,) we can reasonably assume that multiple players using the same sap or leech curse will not cause the monster to lose more than 10%-25% of their stats, respectively. Unless you (or anyone else) can think of a way to prove otherwise, my small bit of testing is conclusive. Good luck, as I'm fairly certain that NPCs aren't about to show you their prayer menus. Kinda arrogant to assume that, since you really proved nothing. The boost/drain is invisible as well, so you didn't prove anything. Actually, I can. When corpying, when numerous people were cursing, you could see the leech effect going against corp. To say this doesn't work would be tantamount to saying that SWH or DL only work one time by one player, and then they no longer reduce defense. Not only that, but it is illogical to assume that players and monsters work the same way. For one, protect prayers work differently against them, as do other factors. The assumption that what occurs to one but not the other is not valid. Are you aware of the neat little pop-up menu in your prayer tab that shows the stat drains/increases? That's how we knew what was happening. So, yes, we did prove something. It's an easy test. You should try it. Your third point is null on account of Jagex telling us when a prayer acts differently against an NPC than it does against human players. In regards to Turmoil, for example, players asked about how fighting a monster like Jad would affect it. Mods told us that it would treat the NPC like a maxed player. Can you provide examples of prayers working differently against players than they do monsters that haven't been verified by Jagex? EDIT: In regards to your second point, are you implying that I said at any time that leech prayers or sap do not work against NPCs at all? I have not said this. I argued that they do not STACK against NPCs, just as they do not stack against players.

The OP and his minions appear to be trolls. Successful ones at that. =D>
  23. Those are icefiends you're referring to.

  25. How, exactly, did you test this? Three of us tested them out in different combinations. For example, two of us would use sap warrior and attack the third, who reported a 10% decrease in his stats. Then one of us used sap warrior while the other two attacked. It only affected whoever the player using the curse attacked.
